It's just a stacked dipole array, at best you'll get 9dB gain. You'd get the same gain from a coax colinear, and they are LESS than half this size and about $15 to make.
quite an interesting build. i wonder, afaik the impedance of the folded dipole should be around 290 Ohm, so probably a better idea to feed each individual dipole in the phasing harness with a 300 Ohm ladder line rather than a 50 Ohm coax?
i bought 2x 3 metre 20mm oD tube plus 3x 3metre 10mm oD tube my calc is for 2x 19 element yagi for 476.9 mhz , i used the same software for DE and the recommended yagi software, all worked out well i dont have a bender, so i used 40mm oD tube , you make this look so easy though my tube is aluminum, i never thought to use copper for DE, thank you for your video ... do you have a video to make divider, phasing harness
good day, you can search google for exact dimension thru computerized measurement, which i done. just gave the frequency desire what you whant, and they will gave you the diagram. thank you.
@@harleyfollero7341 hi, good day, your uhf frequency measurements, you can search to google, folded dipole calculator, just type the desire frequency you want, the google will give you the measurements,
That soldering iron isn't really powerful enough - the heat leaks away into those big chunks of metal - I'm surprised that you managed to get a finished joint - personally I wouldn't trust any of them to be good 'uns.
Hallo. What about all cables? How long they are and how many Ohms each one. Generally i want to find out all connections of the dipoles. And the distance between them and from the mast.... 73 de SV1GSU
@@PhraimciscoBernardoJBacho Electronics For The Inquisitive Inventor will walk you through the steps. He also has a phasing harness that uses basic parts. Get a NanoVNA as well. You don't NEED one, but it makes life way better! Good luck.

These are repeater grade antennas that withstand harsh weather. You won't find coax collinear antennas at repeater sites.
Nice video!! What kind of coaxial are you using for the phasing harnesses?
iam using coaxial 50 ohm
or rg58. or you may use rg59
so it can be hide inside the 1x1 square boom.
thank you.

How did you get the E dimension correct? I can't do it with the same bender

Sir ano pong distance spacing sa folded dipole dun sa aluminum

Ano ang pagitan ng dulo sabawat element
harness guide?
Sir Tanong ko lang pag Sa baofeng ilang element Ang maganda
mas nice ang 4 loops, or folded dipole, kung mi budget i prepare 8 loops.
pwede po manghingi nang listahan po
or guide lang po para po sana maka gawa po din ako nyan salamat
