NOTES FOR THE ARCHIVE: About 2 minutes before the session started, our video streaming system totally locked up! Luckily though, we were able to get two cameras into the room to shoot footage for the archives. So sorry to those that were unable to watch along live, but please enjoy the video we were able to capture! Special thanks to our video producer Rob Lafond for working on his toes.

I think Kimbra is one of the best talents i have seen in a long time, style range etc, Not as keen on the Pop Princess they are trying to make her into...I prefer the Kooky Jazz girl who pulls faces. She's amazing! Drummers haircut is a "high top fade" btw.
I only came here after hearing the recording sounded different than the love and I agree. She sounds so much better live than when the studios edit her voice. They should keep her with her pure, beautiful voice. I love this 3

Wonderful live presentation of the original. The original is so clean, and this is a nice way to make it more alive. Singers that just sing the original exactly as it is, will often either make music as if it was live music in the first place, or mimics the song to a playback track.

I think it isn't that she's performing badly; it's clear from this and other of her live performances that she can sing conventionally "well" at an impressive range of pitches; but rather that she's having fun in these KCRW performances. Experimentation often doesn't work out the way a vocalist wants, so many musicians (especially pop artists) don't risk their reputation to have fun. Kimbra was brave to take such risks during this performance!
I wanna thank this channel. I've found so much great music through these performances. Much appreciated.

You may be able to find a download of it somewhere online if you look hard enough. It's about 500mb total.
That could be, or maybe since it wasn't shot in their usual format they didn't want it available (like with the side view mostly of Kimbra) due to the technical problem that was mentioned right before the session began. I actually think the Billboard tastemakers videos of her are better quality, it's just too bad there's only a few songs on that session, but she played Withdraw which is amazing!

She's more unique and talented than mainstream pop. Small minds (kids) can't appreciate her.

So, I know I found it under KCRW>Music>Video:In Studio within the last 2 days, and it's gone now... It seems like there are tonnes of other artists still in the archive. Makes me wonder if they have plans for it? (At least a couple of the tracks were the best versions I've heard so far.)
What happen to the Sing Sing bonanza...? Glad she came by. Oh is there a reason why Morning Becomes Eclectic isn't working anymore in iTunes?

This version is better than the official "pop dance" video.
It seems like you don't know how singing works. Singers can hit those high notes fairly easily without it seeming like it took much effort. However, the next day, they could be struggling to hit those notes they so easily hit the previous day.
i wished the camera was facing her face more not only her profile.
For a second i thought she was singing into the mic thats closer to the camera ... that really mind fuked me haha

The whole session was on their site for awhile, but looks like they've removed it now. If you were lucky, you got the whole thing downloaded in full...without interruptions. :-) Just sayin'
