I absolutely love the NPC interaction here. Especially them hanging out with the ones they like and love. From the Guide and Zoologist vibing, to the Arms Dealer and Nurse dancing. Absolutely nailed it. I also love that the probe has a little eye
To be fair, if the player is far enough along to summon UFOs, then they are already in Hardcore mode. Meaning the previous Guide was already sacrificed.
The detail in this video is amazing. Especially the first scene; almost everyone’s relationships are represented so well. Nurse and Arms Dealer are dancing, Party Girl is cheering on Dryad and Witch Doctor while Golfer is kinda just there. Even just the Zoologist being in her beast form because of the full moon is a great detail. And everyone’s reactions to the UFOs is also incredibly accurate. I find it especially funny that Steampunker is the only one to escape its wrath because… Well, she’s the Steampunker. Angler straight-up leaving the game is also hilarious as shit-
ik this is a really old comment but angler still kinda dies, it just says he left in his death message in-game bcs he's a child, same goes for the princess when she dies as well, and when they die they both burst into smoke
@@protosszog I was gonna say, that would explain why there's only one light on in the apartment complex. Maybe he went inside to head to bed after getting some cake, not knowing that the player was gonna summon the alien invasion lol
I love how EVERY single NPC is characterized in this video, like The Steampunk smugly leaving via teleporter, and The Arms Dealer trying to protect his girl. It’s honestly amazing that even the NPC’s off screen get characterized, with The Princess screaming out for their deaths and The Wizard having a “I’m so freaking tired and confused of the Terrarian’s non-sense” attitude while everyone else is panicking. Also, the Terrarian being smug and assuming they can take on anything is how we all first played the game. Don’t even try to deny it.
i will deny you because i learned early on that the game looks at us bullshitting and calmly writes it in its book of grudges like a damn dwarf to whip out later! and give payback.
I nearly had a heart attack when I saw ‘You feel an evil presence watching you’ because I knew I was going to have to fight a boss and I thought I wasn’t strong enough. I had gear that could easily defeat Skeletron
The mechanic was always my favorite npc, and seeing her and all the other npcs react with emotion just makes it all the better, and I absolutely love the part of the angler poofing away because he "leaves" and doesn't die
the angler is actually a kid, if any game contains child dying then the game gets a 18+ age rating, but terraria can't show kids dying as the game has an 10+ age rating
@@jpeg3083 not always true, there have been a few 17+ games where kids can die, though they're quite rare. It's mostly just that most people don't exactly want to kill or see a child die.
@@zerumsiru5204 It's because of how the EU (I think) rates games. It's perfectly fine for children to die in the U.S (in video games) but games with child death get a high age rating or they might not be allowed at all not sure
I love how this basically shows us the perspective of the NPCs: They’re just chilling and minding their own business. Suddenly our character, who is, in their eyes, an all powerful maniac who summons eldritch monsters and cosmic horrors for the sake of gaining more power, appears out of nowhere and summons one.
@@gersongjr mechanic was literally the one who helped build the mechanical bosses while she was captured, I think she knows a thing or two about advanced tech
Words can not begin to express what I would do to dance with the dryad and witch doctor before being absolutely beamed out of existence Amazing amazing work!!! Can’t wait to see more!
Dude, this was awesome, don’t know what stage of life your in, but don’t give up on these animations. And it was actually a lil comical, plus smoothest movement I’ve seen in a fan made animation in awhile :)
It’s a short animation, but there’s so much freakin personality and detail in every single thing I rewatch it over and over again. The zoologist casually chewing with her mouth open, the little swirl of the beer the mechanic does, the party girl, Druid and witch doctor are either doing hooks or just drinking a flask of party idk, the genuineness of the player’s expression as he backs down, only to immediately cause chaos. The lighting is perfect, the gloves on the player stay the same light level as they glow slightly, that freakin shrug. The angler retreats into his jacket and leaves, zoologist accept death smiling, the laser clips through the table without burning it, the cyberpunker just teleports away, I love it. Every detail.
The sheer amount of details in the scene with the UFO is amazing. The Barkeep is confused until he sees the thing heading for him The Weapons Dealer just shoots the thing The Engineer being >:[ The steampunker just leaving with a teleporter Absolute genius
So many things you wouldn't think of, like the chat at the end being those of the npcs actual in game possible names, so the steampunker is Isabella, Yuuki is the princess, Edgar is the clothier, Luigi painter, Abdosir dye trader, Merlyn wizard, Candy party girl, and Shiitake is the truffle.
Notice how the steampunker smiles while everyone else is confused, surprised or angry 0:25 edit: also the witch doctor taking a second to realize with his mask
This is much too underrated and high quality, this deserves more recognition! The smooth animation, cute and simple artstyle, facial expressions, body language, and the little details(such as the overly smooth animation in the engineer's ale before the player swooped in), it's all too high quality for this video to have so little recognition, you'll get what you deserve for making a masterpiece like this!
You know? I didn't interpret it like that, instead, I see his mannerisms as a direct response to the Mechanic's "WHY!?" just before, thus the vibe it gave me was akin to "I... don't know why I did that, yeah, shit happens".
I’ve watched this so many times to take in all the little details. Like the angler being asleep when this happens because it’s so late in the night. The steampunker being smug after she escapes, the wizard being confused, the truffle laughing his mushroom butt off, it’s all so well done!
@@vectorboom1982 at the end of the animation, the names that appear on chat are npc names. Isabella is Steampunker, Yuuki is Princess, Luigi is Painter, Abdosir is Dye Trader, Merlyn is Wizard, Candy is Party Girl, and Shiitake is Truffle.
nobody notices how the arms dealer took off his jacket for the angler to sleep under it’s adorable and the details in the other scenes is incredible but the missing npcs in this would have been a nice addition other than that this animation is great
I heard the zoologist actually ate him, then proceeds to eat the party girl too. both times they are suddenly missing the zoologist was next to them the previous frame they were on screen
This perfectly shows what parties (at least the ones I go to) looks like. You have the people always near the food and eating it (usually me) the two dancing together, the random girls making TikTok’s, the people talking at the tables and that one guy going through a lot just sitting alone with a cup
I just love the player’s expressions, especially the whole body movement right before they get vaporized. It’s just so smooth and so good- enough that I’ve watched this a few times just cause it’s so fun.
0:23 I like the detail of the guide chair shaking and him being just gone, implying he dipped because he 100% knows what that thing is, and what's about to go down.
Wow. I noticed he had left and figured he went to his room upstairs (hence the light at 0:28), so I rewinded a few times to watch his spot and the chair shaking was so subtle I didn't even see it. Good catch.

I know next to nothing about Terraria, but the love that was poured into this animation shines through. I especially adored the way you animate gestures and expression. Their body language conveys so much, and the character interactions were adorable and funny. Overall, loved this.
Spoilers, read at your own risk! To summarise the video: The party you saw is a custom event that happens randomly during the day. As of what the guy (the "Protagonist", which is us) brought in the end is a martian probe that spawn on 2/3 of the map and in high altitude, when triggered it turns red and flies upward. Within that time you can kill it to stop it from triggering a event. The event is a wave battle that spawns enemies, and occasionally spawns a mini boss. Which is what you saw with the UFO. Edit: as what dabbing said, try the game. But dont join the terraria discord, it sucks. Not much to get help there aside from people who cant learn as they play, so they rather ask 1-3 questions everytime (which can be within the span of 1minute) they do something when it can be easily looked up
Holy cow, this is literally amazing!! You make minecraft and terraria animations and THIS good? Oh yeah, I'm subscribing. That probe though is very relatable tho, ngl. Always happens when I'm in the middle of something playing.
I really loved this animation and would love to see more in this style Seeing the NPCs vibing together filled my heart and put a smile on my face Good job :)
Keep replaying this just for all the delicious details, like how the Guide throws a slice of cake for the Zoologist to catch, or the Arm Dealer giving the Angler his coat to use as a blanket, or the Guide (sorry, he's simply my fav) nopes the hell of of there the moment the Player appears.
There is so much detail in this animation and I love it. From being able to see what accessories the player is wearing to how the angler poofs and the steampunker teleports away. I agree with every other comment saying that this is great and hope you succeed in what you do in the future.
I love everything about this. It's so fluid and expressive. And how all the character's react is amazing. I particularly liked the complete lack of fear from the Zooologist and that the Steampunker (I think?) just follow's the Anglers advice and leaves.
This is an amazing animation, it's so sad that UA-cam hates animators because of the time taken to make animations. I love all the little details like the guide throwing cake into the air and the furry girl catching it then chewing in the next scene : )
I love this so much! Every single detail tells of a massive amount of care going into this. Being able to recognize all of the gear the player has on, recognizing all of the NPCs, even the merchant trying to hide under the table from the lazer, to DIE because it goes through blocks. It’s all astounding!
it's the merchant (he removes his hat when a party happens, the Clothier and Taxkeeper are most likely doing their own thing which in of itself is a nice attention to detail)
We are all missing the important question this talented animator postulated: The zoologist is half human, half fox, so will the chocolate cake she ate be poisonous to her, or will it not?
Well I know humans can consume about 3x the amount of theobromine that dogs can, not accounting for body mass if its the same for foxes and the zoologist is about half fox, that means she can have some chocolate.
Actually, yeah, there's no particular reason to kill wall of flash for anyone really. Except the player who wants to beat the crap out of cosmic eldritch once more, especially with all loot from previous world.
I always loved that, the wall is literally the guardian of the world, the fact that we kill it causes an escalation and we just keep killing more and more stuff until inevitably we run out of things to kill, the terrarian saves the world not by being heroic but by being a murderous psychopath driven only by loot
Judging by the fact that, even with the "guardian of the world" and the empress of light (a fae goddess) both existing during cthulhu's siege, it took all of the dryads to even put a dent in his plan proves that the player's actions, which include defeating the wall, are the only thing able to put a stop to The Moon Lord If the Moon Lord had reached his apex, he would've curbstomped the wall
This is probably my personal favorite Terraria Animation. I love how we see they NPCs as a community and how much detail there is. Not to mention the animation style I think really fits Terraria.
This animation is just great i like the detail so much, especially the steampunker she literally escapes with a teleportation placed down hhaha, and i like how the mechanic worries and cares the player
If this guy made like a 24 minutes animation, everyone is gonna take a week writing their comments about every single detail in one every shot in this video. Because this man unexpectedly puts a lot of effortless details if not then clever details into his animations.
I've probably watched this like 20 times now, such a solid animation. I'd love to see this style and animation be used in terraria promotional material tbh
I keep rewatching this video and I find new things every time. I really appreciate how the movements and stuff are timed to the music so well, it adds a very nice touch.
Everyone’s talking about the Guide and Steampunker, but what about the Pirate and the Dwarf? Death comes for them and they just assume the position in perfect synchronization.
This is genuinely a really great animation and I love this so much The amount of detail the smoothness the quality just frankly it's amazing, and I love the detail with the steampunker teleporting away that was funny :) along with the dance that the witch doctor and the dryad did.
Man, I have never seen a Terraria fan animation this high quality before. Seriously, all the pandering aside, it looks great. Not only does it not have framerate of a Microsoft Powerpoint presentation, but it also has color, unlike those black and white animations most fans make (Which are not inherently worse, black and white might be the style of an animation, for example). Also, the attention to detail is incredible, to the point that you basically need to watch the animation multiple times to see every single tiny little Easter Egg and the such. And best of all, every single frame and facial expression is just oozing with personality. You can see the amount of care this guy put into this animation. The beginning three seconds alone has more effort put into it than entirety of Illuminations lineup, excluding maybe the Minions movie. One minor criticism, though. At *0:38**,* Party Girl seemingly disappears and is replaced by who I suspect to be the Tax Collector. Is it some intentional gag or a minor technical error? Also, here are all the little details I found after rewatching the animation, like 5 times: _(I really like how Guide throws cake in the air for Zoologist to catch like an actual dog _*_0:03_**_,_*_ how Party Girl is cheering for the dancing Dryad and Witch Doctor, how Demolitionist is wearing his miner hat on top of his party hat, how at _*_0:23_**_,_*_ Cyborg is knocked out from the drinks, everybody is shocked but Steampunker who already knows what's gonna happen and has everything planned in advance, and Guide is straight up missing._ _And, at _*_0:38_*_ I love how Dryad waves hands at the UFO like she's telling it ''don't you dare,'' Witch Doctor waves his staff at it, Arms Dealer is trying to fight back, Demolitioner and Pirate fall from their chairs in fear as Tavernkeep confusingly looks at them, Old Man/Clothier (Whoops, he was actually merchant) hides under the table, and Nurse tries to run away by getting over the table and so on so forth. Also also, _*_0:39_*_ I'd absolutely expect Steampunker to escape like this with her Teleporter, it's just way too fitting. Also also also, did I mention how cool the player looks? His costume is a jumbled mess, exactly how I'd expect it to be)..._
this is one AWESOME terraria animation. Every frame is simple, but still a marvel of detail and design. The character designs are very good-looking and they all have their own personality, flavour. I like how they are grouped up according to their personalities. Simply stellar.
I absolutely love the details in this The Angler proofing away, the Steampunker using a teleporter, and the Martian Saucer even does the little wiggle before moving again And the lighting is SO GOOD
Here's who was in chat: Isabella the Steampunker (escaped via teleporter) Yuuki the Princess (potentially in biome where it's hard to get pylon, or with NPCs that are hard to make happy) Edgar the Clothier (likely in underground, cavern, or hell) Luigi the Painter (likely in jungle) Abdosir the Dye Trader (likely in desert or ocean) Merlyn the Wizard (likely in hallow) Candy the Party Girl (surreptitiously disappeared between shots, knowing what the player is doing) Shiitake the Truffle (in surface Mushroom biome)
The attention to detail with every single character on screen in each scene is amazing. They are all doing different things, and have different reactions to the same events. Can rewatch this several times and pick out something new for like a good 30 minutes. I love how expressive each of them are! It's an amazing exercise in characterization and silent storytelling! I didn't even mention the cute artstyle or how it's all in sync with the music too!

Even just the Zoologist being in her beast form because of the full moon is a great detail.

Welp just know this, martians can and will kick your ass all over the place in terraria.
Spoilers, read at your own risk!
To summarise the video:
The party you saw is a custom event that happens randomly during the day.
Not much to get help there aside from people who cant learn as they play, so they rather ask 1-3 questions everytime (which can be within the span of 1minute) they do something when it can be easily looked up
I fully recommend trying out Terraria, it's worth the cost 100%

The wall of flesh is litterally holding back the world evils from taking over the planet

Judging by the fact that, even with the "guardian of the world" and the empress of light (a fae goddess) both existing during cthulhu's siege, it took all of the dryads to even put a dent in his plan proves that the player's actions, which include defeating the wall, are the only thing able to put a stop to The Moon Lord

The attention to detail is amazing
Love how the steampunker teleports away
