- Take a look inside a session with me, Craig Bryant. I decided to record a session with a frequent player I coach, Julie.
We’ve worked together for over 5 years now and we’ve made some really great progress. This is all organic material, there’s no acting or forcing, this is just capturing a ‘normal’ training session.
Make sure you watch all of the exercises and let me know in the comments, which exercises would be best for you.
Thank you for watching 💻

Excellent coaching with what looks like a very engaged player, great from both of you, thanks.
Great video Craig. Have told a few of the guys at the club I play at in Essex about you and your channel. Hopefully you'll get some more subscribers.
Top man, thank you for that 👌
excellent session, thanks for sharing! my favorite exercise is the multiball one where you randomly feed float or backspin balls. super common ball in matches (at my level). will definitely incorporate that exercise into my training!
thanks for sharing your work!
great content, love this kind of clip!
You're making Julie work hard haha 😄
I would love to have a coach like you in my town, looks like quality traning right there 👍
Thanks 🤩
Great video
Thanks for sharing also this other side of the training
My pleasure

Nice one Craig! She's doing very well! So lucky to have you on 1-2-1 coaching in a hall! As per usual great motivator, didn't try and make her look silly and still made her work to get the best out of her. Fancy moving to Croydon? :). My serve is doing great after your online coaching. Last Friday I got some admiring comments on my hook serve! Awesome coach! Everyone who loves this game should try some coaching from you!
Awesome stuff Simon! I will be staying put in Devon though! 😂
Another great video Craig.
Thanks Ivan
We are trying to incorporate more multiball and drills at our club.
We tend to fall into the one player plays cross, the other down the line, drill quite often. I have been looking for a reference sheet or guide for easily changing it up. Our minds go blank when we get to the club.
Great to hear that you’re wanting to try new things
Might it be beneficial to introduce more unpredictability into training sessions? I've been training under a coach who competes at quite a high level. After two years of consistent practice, including some friendly games, I entered a local tournament. Surprisingly, I lost all five matches, primarily to opponents who appeared less skilled. It seems I wasn't ready for the unpredictable nature of a real match. I must admit, I've somewhat attributed this to my coach, who usually focuses on drills where the next move is predictable.
Great session mate
Thanks 👍
Nice vid! Julie should move her index finger when playing forehands to go alongside the rubber, not across. This makes a lot of people kind of 'thrust' or 'shove' instead of hitting the drive shot by rotating the lower arm (sorry for the English). They will often compensate the awkward movement with their wrist too at the end of the shot (very clear at the beginning of the vid). Keep that elbow low and the have the bat extend the lower arm.
1:45 in my club we are doing Backhand from Backhand side, forehand in the middle then again backhand at the backhand side and then a forehand from the forehand corner
4:09 how can I do this exercise when I am a lefti and the person I train with is a righti?
Your backhand switch would go down the line to their backhand, then they spin with their backhand into your forehand (or you can ask them to turn the corner to use their forehand.
Ok, thank you! Btw, I love your videos, keep going❤
Thank you
I like..nice video..i am form indonesia..
Oh thank you for your video.
I think I will contact you soon, but I must write what I want before.
👍
À very good coach with a good woman player !
Thanks you for this lesson.
Serious and funny moment !
Thank you. I’m glad you appreciate the comedy too 😁
Nice session and nice video. Thanks for sharing. Your serves during service tutorials and this session were quite different. I beleive you have not used your great serves so that she does not have discomfirt. Isn't it?
Yes, important to find the right balance to aid improvement
Interesting video! I wonder why it's titled "English" though, hm?
I was trying to offer the video in as many languages as possible and I think I’ve accidentally labelled the English version as ‘English’
There was some scratchy noises
Which rubbers do you use? And blade?
All in the description 👍
She hits ball too close to herself, so she pulls her elbow back into the body. She needs to hit the ball a little further from the hull, then this mistake will not be
