I'm so excited that you're a Branderson girly!! So am I! My favorite is the Stormlight Archive, it is very long and the buildup/payoff is very very good. Also the yummiest characters, interesting worldbuilding- all the good stuff. Tress of the Emerald Sea is my favorite standalone that I've read, she's just such a great main character and the story is so nice & cozy.
When i first finished mistborn 1, i put it down and said "that was _such_ a book" and it still feels true. The rest of the books are more genre-defying but the first one is a whole meal
