Sweet Caroline at Yankee Stadium to honor Boston

- The Yankees played 'Sweet Caroline' at the end of the 3rd inning to honor the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings. That song, of course, is a Fenway tradition, so it was a nice tribute by the Yankees.
The logo, a little hard to see, said "New York Stands with Boston. Pray for Boston." with a ribbon and the Yankee and Red Sox.
Once rivals, these teams and cities stand united. #prayforboston
As a red sox fan i have never had more respect for the Yankees it shows that the rivalry is big but for them to do that to honor my city of Boston this is amazing
As a Sox fan, I got a bit choked up by this. Thank you, New York This was a gracious gesture that shows your true class. Other than being Yankees fans, you guys are alright. :)

It's a rivalry but we are baseball fans and people first

That takes class on the Yankee's part. To set aside the rivalry and stand with Boston in a week of turmoil and trauma. Even better knowing all of MLB stood with a wounded city. Boston Strong.
Amazing how even rival baseball teams can come together. It just comes to show that there is some good in our world. God Bless everyone in Boston!

The rivalry is great for sports. I'm a die hard Yankee fan been one my whole life, and thus never liked the Red Sox. But theres a much bigger picture as has been said, Boston and New York are world class cities, the Yankees and Red Sox are first class organizations #BostonStrong

Beautiful. It's wonderful to see a community, a nation come together, but sad it has to for this reason.
As a Yankee fan who was born and raised in NYC now living in Chicago, who was there when Red Sox fans came through for us on 9/11, who loves the rivalry between the Yanks and Sox, despite my hard feeling against the Red Sox, I lift a Sam Adams Boston Lager to you Boston. You were there for us on 9/11, now we pay it back in kind. Just like we rose above 9/11, you can rise above this bombing. Stay strong, Boston, stay strong. #ForBoston

As a life long citizen of the Boston area I just want to thank New York. As John Stewart mentioned, we have a sibling rivalry but that means we're family. I was heartbroken for your city during the horrific tragedy of 9/11. And frankly I look to New York's example now to figure out how we get through our own troubles. This gesture was appreciated.

This was a wonderful tribute from The Yankees and New York to the people of Boston. Make my heart feel so good.
Boston and New York may not be great friends in sports, but in the end we will always have each others backs when things get ugly. Boston stood by New York after 9/11, and New York stood by us after the bombings, and recently we stood together to say goodbye to a legend and class act in baseball.
As a lifelong Yankees fan this was touching, shows how classy the Yankees are even for their biggest rivals and I am not a fan of the Red Sox at all!! Yankees forever!!
