Really great effort! Hope you will continue development! Btw I have some suggestions:
1. Will be more realistic to make man bouncing back a bit when he got hit by enemy weapon at his shield or sword in defence position (like in Skyrim). So heavier weapon hit - far unit with shield (or sword) bouncing back.
2. Also will be nice to make horses fall if they hit each other on high speed. Or just make the rider falls from the saddle. It should add more immersion in battles.

A tip to possibly alleviate performance on AI entering killmoves.
- Create a MaxConcurrentKillAnimations variable somewhere. Mess around with this number.
- Create a KillAnimationCandidates list or array variable. I'm not sure what type the variable would be? Something that defines an AI soldier. This gets filled by all soldiers on the battlefield when the battle starts.
- Create a ActiveKillAnimationSoliders list or array variable of the same type as above. This starts out empty
- Every few seconds a random AI soldier will be added to the ActiveKillAnimationSoliders list
- As long as the lenght of the list is lower than the MaxConcurrentKillAnimations number we add the candidates to the ActiveKillAnimationSoliders
Run the necessary logic to play the animations on all soldiers in the ActiveKillAnimationSoliders list. If a soldier plays the animation or dies, they get removed from the list. You might want to exclude archers and cavalry in here too. And make sure you don't add the same soldier more than once in the ActiveKillAnimationSoldiers list.
Implemented properly this should be fairly mild on the performance. Unless you crank up the MaxConcurrentKillAnimations number
Edit: I'm sure you could figure something like this out yourself. Or most likely even improve it, just trying to nudge you in a possible direction :)

It would be cool, if it was tied to named NPCs either companions or opposing nobility/commanders.
And if possible, allow for these settings to be tweaked in the MCM. That way, you can up it if your pc/game can handle it.
This looks incredible! Can't wait to give it a try. I wish Taleworlds would work with modders like yourself to get the little things like the animations into the base game. It has so much potential!

They should just make a big DLC with all the best mods combined. Almost like Viking Conquest. That DLC was LEGENDARY
so he basically downgraded game by removing vanilla weapon strikes and adding premade animations like in total war games and you call it incredible?
not removed anything, the vanilla combat system is still there. But yeah, I also prefer that and whilte this looks cool I wouldn't normally play with it@@Dada-rh1xs

Shield bash by an entire army should be very loud, echoing through out the valley, scaring the enemy ! You're doing great work, keep it up.
I've ALWAYS wanted truly injured troops to be a thing, great ideas and great execution :D good luck with your mod!
Matched combat would be great for duels in the arena and for challenging enemy lords, imagine being chased down by a lord and challenging them for a duel instead of fighting a battle, they would accept if they are high on honor and courage or if their army morale is low. If you win their party leaves and lets you go, if he wins you end up prisoner or die and your party disbands
But there should be a duel mod which is currently not 😢

this reminds me of the "Dream game" video made by Jack (I forgot his last name). He said he wanted executions from For Honor or something simmilar and I think this is the one step towards the dream.
I use Assassin and Espionnage, Your Deserve A Crown and Artem Lively Animations for a while...but only now I figured out they were your work. These are truly amazing mods that look like professionnal features, TW should definitely hire you.

Oh man I love that you showed the total war animations at the start. I really like your mod and I see potential in it growing to have cool and complex “duels” like in Rome 2 and Attila and such! Wouldn’t mind if you extracted the animations directly and re-rigged them to the bannerlord skeletons hehe… a ton of work to be sure, but just throwing it out there :)
Hey arty, loving all your content to bannerlord brother, be careful taking a lot of things on your plate plus the YT, I don’t wanna see you burn out like a lot of modders with bannerlord due to the sheer amount of updating required each patch

if it would work with RBM and some dismemberent mods it just would be much more better. love the work modder(s) make.
Shield taunt seems good but those combat animations need some work, no slow-motion and speed it up to keep up the pace with combat.
You should add another flee animation which when your winning the enemies see what's going on and then they drop their weapons,shields and they are horrified to see there loosing

I love the injury and fleeing features, but not too much the others.
Those shield taunts remime me of Viking Conquest mod. I missed it so much
I always wondered if its possible to make siege battles spread across whole settlement, make troops fight on every street and make small blockades in tiny crossings, add some spacing in between fighting units like there is with killmove

As for the complex animations, perhaps a new game mode can be made that is more "arcady" and story oriented. The player can use better animations in this mode. Perhaps it can become the basis for a witcher mod or something.
Time to make a tombstone piledriver animation in blender and add it as an execution to this mod
That matched combat looks cool as hell, but is the slo-mo a part of it or was it edited in? It seems like it'd be pretty annoying to have if it was in-game
The slow mo part is also integrated in the mod
Perhaps, join the two sides in the duel between the lords in the name of God before the charge, or you can point the general, and all the subordinates cheer for you

I find the executions and the matched combat thing a bit goofy and unnecessary, but the shield taunts, fleeing animations and wounded mechanics look very cool. It's simple, but can be very immersive. Nice job

Amazing mod but i think a bit should improve like incorporating the dismemberment mod into it aswell.
Also,There should be a QoL mod that distinguishes companions and lords on battlefield or duels before battles.

Trying to upgrade permanently from 1.1.5 is NOT seamless..
Doesn't matter where you put the mod, just install it and it should be good to go, given you are on 1.2.X

If you keep on please later add realistic army marching , not seem like robots or pupils. But first focus on that special and cool sector of "combat fighting- killing" to make it perfect as it can be. Keep up mate. I haven't played again Bannerlord since the last time they even not announce to release modding tools in public.. So if I come back it would be so much perfect moment to see this mod actually compelted

Artem. This mod fails to work for me. I have the latest update, however- Every time I enter a battle, it tells me that there was an exception, and crashes my game. I downloaded both manually, removed it properly, then tried Nexus. Still no dice. edit; I am actually a dumbass.

Very nice mod . I downloaded it but I think I found a bug . When u used v and then wanna used O for a celebration it crashed . That’s why I had to turned off .
I can't seem to replicate this issue, I press V for shield taunt and then spam O but no crash happens

Would recommend introducing some randomness whenever you’re making all the AI agents do something - the shield taunt for example. I’ve always found it weird when everyone is perfectly in sync. Ideally, when you use the taunt, the AI would all use a different taunt animation (war cry, shield bash, etc.) all slightly out of sync with each other. Just my opinion!
Yeah I was trying to do that already but haven't been successful, it's on my priority list
@@Artem1s I haven't yet looked into any of the game code personally, but I assume you could look into how they delay the troop's animations as it is now- such as with shooting arrows, or the troops beginning to walk at different times, then work off of that. Shouldn't affect performance very much.
I think the synchronised movement makes sense.
These are trained warriors, they should move in sync with each.
I would prefer two types of taunting, one type does it in synchrony, whilst the other is randomised.
@@therealacebasearchive1479 no one ever is perfectly in sync in real life. I also don't think 'trained warriors' rehearse taunting so that they all do the same taunt at the same time. If you want your game to look like a movie then fair enough, but synchronised movement does not make sense if the goal is realism.

Hey artem. In your assasination mod i wanted 1 thing most and found 2 bugs.
What i wanted most is i wanted to assasinate my king at my faction so i can be elected but we dont have that option unfortunately.
Bugs arr when you get attacked in city center all the townsfolk start attacking you.
Second bug is sometimes the same spymaster spawns 3 clobes at the same castle. This mod is good but %60 od the mod is missing cuz you cant assasinate your own king.
