- In this episode we are delighted to welcome Mairtin Mac Gabhann, Mairtin delves into Dáithí's Law in honour of Mairtin's son Dáithí who has campaigned heavily alongside his family for the law change.
Dáithí Mac Gabhann has been on the waiting list for a heart transplant since 2018. During this time his family have worked tirelessly to campaign for a move towards soft opt-out law and to promote organ donation.
This was the most beautiful and heart breaking story,as a parent of a little boy it's unimaginable .... perfectly delivered by an amazing Daddy, I pray Daithi gets the gift he so deserves ❤

Guys you are unreal for having this Convo. Thank you. As a make a wish foundation volunteer for nearly 20 years I’ve seen the impact organ donation can have as a few of my wish family has had the gift of organs and now these children went from a dire situation to living life. Thank you for this awareness! And wishing for the gift for Daithi and his family ❤❤❤❤❤

I’m on my 12th night in a row staying in hospital on a zed bed to be beside my daughter who was born with a rare congenital heart defect so I’ve just listened to this episode with my headphones on.. It’s hit me hard as she has got to 16 & is now going through some crazy tough times again like when she was a baby & had life saving surgery…, But I have to have faith that it will turn into some good news for a plan soon 🤞. These special kids are the toughest people you could ever meet & so proud of them ♥️ .., Its been great hearing your story & how amazing yous have done as a family campaigning 👏👏🫶… I really hope Daithi gets the news yous have been waiting on soon 🙏🤞 Sending him & your family lots of love & light 🤍🫶
