@@1235bmu I think that because of Evelyn's invis, it's much better to roll the dice on it to keep pressure across the map INCLUDING bot. Because she's constant invis, you can't know where she is till a committal happens, which leaves a short window for the enemy to make something happen. I can see entire games where she doesn't roam, and entire games where she only roams, but you gotta keep them guessing

He couldnt find a lane that eve worked in so he decided to go support, leech and lie to his adc, then fuck his adc for the rest of the game since they wont ever be able to properly farm a 2v1 lane, just so the eve could be more viable than in the jungle. I don't care if you win the game or not doing that. Thats a shit thing to do to someone. Just guarantees the adc is going to suffer for 20-40 minutes with near no chance to do anything in the game.

The ‘crazy trick that makes the pick work’ could be something like ‘kill your enemy in lane a lot’ or ‘minions give a lot of gold’.
Just use Leona, Nautilus, Thresh, or any actually useful support tbh. In this asscancer meta with everyone playing poke mages/adcs/roaming garbage as supports they are practically off meta.
I feel the rating also needs to include playabllity and having to roam at 6 means that most carries because they didnt get help from their support at the start and then also at 6 will go under at lower ELOs. People don't really expect to play around level advantage being good for them when they get to have mostly solo exp and there is a real threat to the enemy carry getting all platings because at lower elos junglers dont block waves or hold waves when you have to go back either.
All things considered with this pick and what not. I do love hearing these storys about how people find that ONE champion for them, that they love so much they find a way to make it work in whatever role they are given. a real love story thats super cool.

I used to play Evelynn Sup and I think she’s good bc in early game she good at poke and when she lvl 6 she can ROAM to MID or Open the fight for AD in Bot.
His entire come up story is identical to mine. I had the same setup in the same scenario and someone told me I’d never hit plat. I went on to hit diamond in my first season peaking master before I quit haha. Made me smile to hear that.

i used to be suprised at these odd ways to get high ranks even still in the previous season. but this season you can do anything you want and it most likely works just fine even if youre mechanically iron.
The thing is cheesy strategies are inflated because of SoloQ design. Every game, you improve your cheesy trick but face fresh new clueless ennemies. And it's not even worth it for them to think about a counter strategy after the game is over: they are not likely to face you ever after. Things like Rengar lvl 3 red buff invade and Blitzcrank lvl 1 botside invades are cheese you used to see everytime you faced those champions, and even though the counterplay is obvious they still worked occasionally
As a support you have low ressources, so you really need to buy ap / some damage if you wanna be able to one shot people. If you buy rylai, it could be fun at low elo, but with it you’ll not really be able to snowball against better players
its the same playstyle as Twitch supp. But it has a cc and a even more shittier early but it has an ultimate with execute damage unlike the rat. Idk man both champs seem like a nightmare for soloQ cause your average adc doesn't want to be alone in the laning phase.
Yes but Twitch as a champion is much squishier and less safe so he is really easy to shut down. Hes still good supp but can end up useless against good enemies

I feel like this is a pick for a bot lane duo. I would feel REALLY sorry for my ADC if my support pick was designed to play super-safe until level 6 then perma-roam. It sounds really selfish and would tilt a lot of PUG ADCs, I would think.

BUT I've been looking at Evelynn support pick for a while, since the Allure's MR reduction may actually make her a good duo for an APC like Karthus, AP Kai'Sa, Varus or Twitch. In jungle the laner you gank always have an option to run and hide when allured, while in lane the enemy ADC or Support have to make the hard choice to run and expose the other memeber of the duo for the focused assault, or eat the charm and get bursted him/herself.
An interesting side of this is that among carry "supports" Eve doesn't gobble up ressources for herself. It's typical to see a Lux "support" just E or straight up ulti waves that someone else could've gotten but Eve won't take ressources while still developping her gameplan fully.
Abusing your adc letting them 1v2 then ditch and roam. Just your everyday Bot lane experience... In that case just tell the bot lane to pick Soraka Seraphine farming items and be their team's bitch instead. It would help them feel better.

evelyn mid was my first ever interaction with this game and I have sadly not been playing her in lane bc I would just get flamed so I stopped and I always loved playing her as a laner so this is very interesting to me
Play her mid instead, it’s what I switched to and it works great once you learn how it works. Support eve is likely to get flamed by the adc since you’re the one they’re sharing a lane with but if you go mid people are more willing to let it slide

I understand why his friends told him he could never reach gold. He's probably good mechanically, but as much as Chime defends the playstyle, the guy is just playing a bad version of Pyke in a role where you are much more punished for a bad level 1 to 5 than its meta role with a summoner spell that makes no sense.
Imo ekko wins as his early game is way better - so he can start to snowball faster + he can dodge eve burst with his ult. But eve can win if she lands a good charm and ekko doesnt get a lead. I would say Ekko is better overall as a support as he can fight much earlier + has similar 1v9 power. Eve's main advantage is the invis
me and my friend tried camille bot and evelynn support for a few weeks consistently and we were surprised that it actually worked (the evelynn part did, camille not so much) evelynn w makes any adc back off instantly
Nobody know how much flame i get for playing on big set of wards sience forver, they say i forget to buy lens, or that, but the truth is, i keep wards from suport item, plus the ward slot, which mean i can permanently ward.
Bring back support identity, please. Picking anything and perma roaming is how all of these picks work with 1 or 2 unique things that make it somewhat viable. It's boring.

I've been playing Eve Support for the last year, got tired of finding teammates who could carry me, I am doing it myself.
If Evelynn support is the best support and Ekko support is the best support too then what happens if they meet each other on botlane?
Imo ekko wins as his early game is way better - so he can start to snowball faster + he can dodge eve burst with his ult.
But eve can win if she lands a good charm and ekko doesnt get a lead.
I would say Ekko is better overall as a support as he can fight much earlier + has similar 1v9 power. Eve's main advantage is the invis

me and my friend tried camille bot and evelynn support for a few weeks consistently and we were surprised that it actually worked (the evelynn part did, camille not so much)
evelynn w makes any adc back off instantly
Eve support needs an adc that can be ok 1v2 and that can deush waves easily. I dont really think camille can depush by herself

Nobody know how much flame i get for playing on big set of wards sience forver, they say i forget to buy lens, or that, but the truth is, i keep wards from suport item, plus the ward slot, which mean i can permanently ward.

Bring back support identity, please. Picking anything and perma roaming is how all of these picks work with 1 or 2 unique things that make it somewhat viable. It's boring.

Feels like all these off-meta "support" picks come down to adc being useless for 25min so they just leave lane, let them farm and win the game somewhere else in the meantime
