Did anybody else notice that Brandel has a voice MADE for podcasts? It's like listening to a cool version of NPR.
As long as it's a video podcast. He's too pretty to do audio only 😍🤣
I really do like Joe's intro songs. As stated in another comment, Brandel has a great voice for a podcast or storytelling. I started out on the Atari system.
I like the grab bag format for boop marry kill!
My favorites: The entire Fallout series, the entire Mass Effect series, and Battle Toads.
With Kingdom Hearts, years and years back now I gave myself an Organization 13 name. My name is Anton, so my Org. name is Noxtan.
Congratulations on over 10 years of creating amazing content! It's inspiring to see how far REACT has come. Looking forward to many more years of laughter and entertainment.
Video games are 40 to 60 hours of entertainment... meanwhile, here I sit at over 1000 hours on Tears of the Kingdom and still haven't gone in to beat Gannon 🤣 My first video game system was Pong. It hooked up to the TV and was only Pong. It had two paddles with rotating buttons. After that, we got an Atari 2600. It progressed from there, but now I am solely a switch girl. We still have an original NES, Playstation, PS2, PS4, and a Wii. We also have a DS 3D, and two or three Gameboys.
My dad still has the original pong box with just the 2 controllers....still works to this day.
Joe's making me flashback to my childhood! I had a couple friends who had the NES, and what we would do is borrow each other's console. Can you just imagine doing that nowadays?
Crash Bandicoot, Donkey Kong, Final Fantasy, Grand Theft Auto, Halo, Harvest Moon, Kingdom Hearts, Mario, Metal Gear Solid, Pokemon, Silent Hill
Brandel is a cool guy, and the fact that he contributed to the theme song was great!
OG Gameboy Tetris! That game was so addictive! Even my dad, who thought video games caused brain rot (lol), got hooked.
Marrying Bowser, knowing that he'll ALWAYS be chasing after Peach! Lol Joe's got a point. You know that you'll always be his 2nd choice.
I'm with Joe for the most part on nostalgia, though I have a few years on him - I was born in '76. While I actually cut my teeth on the Atari 2600, the NES dominated my teen years where I truly came to love video games. I waited a couple of years after the SNES came out and got one in 1995 after being part of the workforce, then onto the PlayStation a couple of years later (I skipped the N64) because I loved JRPGs and I needed my Final Fantasy 7 fix and just continued on from there.
I also got a Dreamcast back in the day, and yeah, that one was fun to use.
I'd have to say my top 3 favorite games are:
Kingdom Hearts II
Final Fantasy VII
SoulCalibur (I was obsessed with it when I was in high school!)
EDIT: Honorable mention: Persona 4 Golden
Absolutely loving this series and the topics you've chosen so far 👏
my nostalgia games are the sly cooper series
Being a fan of react, I really enjoyed this podcast. Everyone did so great. Joe, I could listen to you all day! Much love to everyone ❤
There is a reason, why guitar hero, rock band, and the other music games stop being made was copyright. They didn’t want there music to be recorded while the game was being played.
that intro song was fireeeee
I use to play ratchet and clank all the time. But I never beaten rift apart. However I beat all rest of that series. The first video game I played was Pac-Man back when arcade were all over in malls. Golden axe was fun. Then I my Nintendo back late 1990s, after I was getting bored playing Intellivision. Then I got my SNES after near the 2000s, I also had game boy, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2, PS3, PS4, and PS5. I played cousins N64, Sega Dreamcast, and Wii.
Let's-a-go u guys 💙🔥🤘🏼
I remember doing Halo LAN parties with my friends. We'd all bring over a small TV or monitor and our Xbox and play Halo Multiplayer in different rooms of the apartment against one another. Some of the best times I've ever had gaming.
Ok Joe, that sounds like an official challenge. Who on the team can pose a threat to you in “Bubble Bobble”? Are there worthy opponents? Get some snacks and chill water, like Red Bull maybe, and then show us your skills at “Bubble Bobble.” Then your 4 opponents can show off their skills. If you win, you get $400; if you lose, your opponents get $100 each. How about it? Do you feel up to the challenge?
First games were sonic on the sega mega drive, then it was ps1 where I had Rayman and crash bandicoot.
Online era in high school was RuneScape
The algorithms timing. When you revealed Toad, it put an add up. It had me laughing harder than I should have.
Brandel mentioning Ocarina of Time brought back flashbacks of my greatest joy and my greatest frustration in gaming. Greatest joy because it is, without a doubt, my favorite video game of all time and greatest frustration because of the Water Temple. Raise the water, lower the water, raise the water, lower the water. N64 had some of the best games!
Resident Hill & Silent Hill made my life changed :'))
I’ve never played any of the resident evils
Jackbox 10 is the most recent ik of. My first online game was the original Star Wars Battle Front.
I love Brandel and his epic anime voice.
Top 3: Final Fantasy (7 is fave, but I like all of the rpg and tactic style games I've played in the series), Tetris (for nostalgia), and third would be WoW or Diablo (for recent game play). 100% agree with Joe people need to stop gatekeeping the term gamer. It doesn't matter what console you use or what games you play. If you enjoy playing games, then you are a gamer!
Favourite part of every episode is the theme song from JOE!!!! Brandel is an underrated reactor, always wonderful to see him in videos
Cloud is my most favorite character in all of the gaming I've done since childhood! That's an immediate win for me!
I’m a huge Kingdom Hearts fan, I love hearing others loving Kingdom Hearts.
Starting to think Nichole never wears pants. Only dresses 😂
Sonic would be a very fast boop. Would you even be ready for that? 🤣
We'll be here all week w/ my list of "games that influenced me":
- The Metal Gear series
- NBA Street, Vol. 2
- Tony Hawk Pro Skater
I love online games like Township
My first video game was Asteroids on my mom's cousin's Atari, which after she realized I enjoyed it, she gifted to me. I don't remember what other games she had, if she had any others.
I just pulled the trigger on Luigi's Mansion on Gamecube.
That was expensive. Very expensive. I do not regret it.
This was great to see how brandel is in his element
I could tell instantly that Brandel has been on some CoD, Apex, and other shooter games when he said hell yeah brother the way he did. As a born and raised Texan, a lot of our online friends would make fun of our accents around the deep south similar to the way Brandel did that. 😅
Some great titles talked about here. Dude, going from split screen gaming to online was such a great time for us gamers. We used to host Halo/Halo 2 tournaments with like 4 Xbox consoles or so when you could link together with system link through LAN with ethernet cables, and do prize pools of money at the local paintball field or someone's home. The online gaming started exploding with Halo 2 and other games. But, I have to say, I remember those days where I pretended to be sick just to stay hone from school and play Gears of War, or couldn't wait to get out of school for it. Such good memories.
Does anyone remember Mischief Makers for the N64? I loved that game!
I knew Brandel was my favorite person for a reason, I love Kingdom Hearts and I love Brandel! ❤
My first online video game was Quake 2. Back in mid 1990s. I remember after ninth grade classes were over. We got together played Quake 2 against from different computers in the same room. It was these big multiplayer matches. We never good for competitions, but we kept playing for until I went to another high school.
i did play many games as a kid in the 90s and through high school in the mid 2000s but to be honest most of my time was spent outside. it wasnt until i was an "adult" that i really got into gaming. i spent a huge amount of time playing OG MW2, i had two gamer tags i played the game with totaling over 90 days of online gameplay
Loved the theme song
Lol… i clocked Asteroids on Atari 2;600
Ok this theme song amazing!!! Brandel made it better..
I first started playing video games on my older brother's Sega Genesis that took game cartridges and we would play sonic 2, street fighter, a couple different years of Madden NFL, mortal Kombat, 3 or 4 different years NBA live when MJ was on top, and I'm sure we had more but those are the games we played over and over again. Then I remember getting a Nintendo 64 that my younger brother and I had to share that our parents got us from a pawn shop. And we played several different games on there including Mario kart, Mario, 007, etc. I miss playing those games on those consoles and the controllers being super simple to use. Love your channels. My fave for years now
Sega Genesis was a great system Sonic, Golden Axe, Shining Force was my favorite game on Saga Genesis it was a role playing game that I was hooked on until SNES and games like Final Fantasy 3 came out or Shadowrun
Oh and I would like to say that after Nintendo 64 I played on the first PlayStation played some of same games as on Sega and Nintendo 64 but also played crash bandicoot, resident evil, etc. And didn't game our own PlayStation 1 we'd play on cousins when we'd stay over at his house. And didn't own all the games we played we'd rent games from the local video store(was not a blockbuster, etc. and before Redbox was thought of) and internet didn't exist yet or was in the beginning of but we didn't have a computer or Internet until I was in high school so either 2004 or 2005. But even when we got it it was dial up so connecting was horrible, time consuming and 3/4 of time wouldn't connect . I grew up in the country, outside of a small town with population of 2,700. After the 1st PlayStation controllers( in particular the joysticks) became too difficult for me to care to learn or get used to lol. But I also was a single working mother at that time so didn't have a lot of free time to practice and honestly if I could get any free time I would sleep lol.
Let's go Brandel!!!
I remember playing Minecraft in high school on my laptop. That shit slapped so hard.
Brandel Butler. It's alliterative just like a lot of characters in superhero comics, so it definately fits!
Me, my daughter and son in law used to have crazy battles on the N64 with FZERO, Waverace and Madden Football. Then I got my PS2 and we battled it out with MK Deception (Nightwolf forever! Lol) and Tiger Woods PGA Golf. They still have my PS2 and still have my golf character saved, which looks exactly like me. It took me almost a year, adjusting its features, and I was even able to customize the tattoos on my forearms so they look exactly like mine.
Growing up the amount of time I "lost" to Smash Bros, Prefect Dark, soul caliber, and Gauntlet is almost incalculable.
Lol, Clue Finders. That Mathra song slaps tho.
Anthony is so random and funny! 🤣
Top 3 Chrono Cross, Mass Effect, Final Fantasy X
One of my first online gaming experiences was Socom Navy Seals 3 and Monster Hunter on PS2. And Final Fantasy 11. Also Runescape!
Brandel gets two thumbs up from me for wanting to be a wolf!
LOVE IT but i dont have apple or spotify lol
Pokemon Stadium on n64 was...$85? because it also included the transfer pak, most expensive video game of my life, but i was 10 or so, it was a birthday present. Hey You Pikachu might have cost more but that was a pretty bad game
paid under $5 for Terraria a few years ago and put thousands of hours into it
Man, you guys grew up with money. We had an NES way late, and later, a Genesis. Nothing else until I made my own money.
Love Boop Marry Kill editions on React & Brandel is one of my favorite React's on the channel.
Yeah, you do get a key chain for completing every recipe with Remy, and it's a really fun one, too.
my top three games are
metal gear solid franchise
oni
dead or alive
My top three are:
World War Z Aftermath
Days Gone
Batman Arkham Knight
I do vividly remember going to a local Funco Land back in the day and a used copy of Banjo Kazooie being $55 opposed to $60 for a new copy. They were absolutely still that expensive 20 years ago. Not Joe with the Yoshi sounds 😂
I would like to try VR, but I don't know if my eyesight will work with it. I have a lazy eye and as a result of something I did when I was a child, when have both eyes open my left eye is so dominate that I see primarily out of my left eye. It's only when I close it, I can see out of my right eye. So I really question if VR will actually work with how janky my eyesight is.
I still have my Sega Dreamcast! Christmas gift. First two games for it was Sonic Adventure and SoulCalibur.
9:17 Games really are expensive but I'm a patient man. I waited almost 4 years to buy The Last of Us 2 for my PS4. I finally picked it up when I found it for $19.99. Great game (one of my favorites) but to this day, I can't understand why it was originally almost $80!
Leroy Jenkins is based on a real dude that worked at Blizzard. his son owns a game software company called Pirate Software. most of you have problably seen his youtube shorts. Him and his dad actually talk about the South Park Character.
I didn't game a ton when I was kid, but it was thanks to Kingdom Hearts that I got back into gaming and in a very big way, too. I mean, my handle wouldn't be what it is if I wasn't posting gaming content.
I just happened to think ... What gaming system had the Kinect addon option? It was the original motion capture option fot video games. My oldest brother had it but I can't for the life of me remember the system.
I think it was Xbox
@gavinwoodring6457 X-BOX! That's the one! Thank you so much because that was driving me freaking crazy! Lol
My first experience with video games was Gina Sisters and Bubble Bobbles and on my dad’s Commodore 64😊❤️
My 1st Online Game Was Unreal Tournament
Brandel and I would have been the best of friends. My top 2 series are Zelda and KH, and The Last of Us 1 is in my top 10 favorite games. That game captured me to the point that on day 1 of the PS3 launch, I sat through from beginning to end for 13 hours, and it blew me away.
LEEEEEEEEROY JENKINS!!! Hahaha i was there!!!!
Also my best friend to this day I met talking about Super Smash Bros Melee
Wait, Joe is originally from Montana?? Now I know why he’s my favorite producer on this channel!
I was surprised to find that out too in a different video! Fellow Montanan here!
@@GeminiWolfstarGaming amazing!!!
My first game system was Atari 2600 and still have the system in tons of games that I have been collecting since I was a kid in the 80's. i still have all the games but the NES system because I broke it when it messed up when I was far into a game called Clash at Demonhead that is a killer game for NES
as an SNES kid with parents who never separated or divorced at all, all my friends with separated/remarried/single parents had sega genesis
I used to play this game called zoombinies. These little dudes that were on a journey and you had to solve math equations to move forward.
Oh that joe😂
I was born in 84 and my gaming station was just the tv in my room lol
you guys need more Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde in your Video Game Diet.
I miss Acrophobia- the acronym game from Jackbox
I loved the Dreamcast!!!
There's nothing better than Joe Bereta!!!
Anybody remember that buzz lightyear game that came out with the Gameboy color? One of my first games
My top 3:
Tears of the Kingdom
Metroid Dread
Contra 3: The Alien Wars
I tried playing Guitar Hero at a friend's house but I just don't have the manual dexterity to be good at that game.
KEVIN!
I had a sega dreamcast and loved big bass fishing. I always remember it said a big one is nearby. I never got the big one
Try getting one now. Very rare and extremely expensive
My first experience with video games was Pong and Tank Battle. New, from the store with my dad'stax refund as a family treat, so I'm kind of showing my age.
Assassin’s creed, god of war, and gta 3 My top three.
Now i really want to play Brandel in Smash Ultimate 😁😁
Favorite Series’:
Kingdom Hearts, Metal Gear, Devil May Cry
All fantastic series. I'll have to go with Borderlands.
God Of War, Mortal Kombat, dying light
I love Jax&Daxter as a classic. My current is a tie btw Days Gone and World War Z Aftermath
Nicole may have a point with booping Crash. That spin move would be amazing! lolol
I just had a thought reading your comment here. You think she could handle Crash and the Tazmanian Devil from Looney Tunes?
@@GeminiWolfstarGaming At the same time? Not without some motion sickness! Lol
@@timisme8360 At the same time? Sure! 🤣 "Not without some motion sickness" gave me a really good laugh! Thanks for that!
