    👆 You'll improve your Russian listening comprehension, if you take into account the reduction of vowels in Russian.
    To approach reading any unknown or challenging Russian word, break it into syllables, read them slowly, pronounce the stressed syllable much longer than the rest. This will help you naturally remember the stressed position. Don't rush yourself, go for the correct pronunciation, and speed will come naturally!

    Nice video and you speak English very well. One observation is you give "some advice" and advice is unquantifiable so it can't be "an advice"

    Why in искусство last O is Unstressed?

  • @dileksahin.
    @dileksahin. Рік тому +1

    Подождите.. и is stressed…so why we dont read the last е as и..

    • @RussianComprehensive
      @RussianComprehensive  Рік тому +1

      Great question! When a word ends in е or я, with the regular speed of talking, you’ll hear smth in between е and и, or я and и. The main idea is, it’s a short syllable. The faster the speech is, the more it’ll sound like и, the slower the speech is, the closer it’ll be to е or я. If it’s a slow song for example, you’ll be hearing е and я in unstressed syllables, too.

    I believe the same is true with the name Vladimir . In English we believe this to be VlAdimir, but in Russian is pronounced vladEMIA. hope this makes sense.

    • @RussianComprehensive

      In Russian, the stress is on the 2d syllable: [владИмир]

    It seems that Russian is so stress-timed that it sounds like a Texas accent English (or other southern accents in USA).
