  • Viruses have very simple structures like core ( genetic material), Capsid, nucleocapsid, Envelope ( which is present in enveloped viruses) and glycoprotein in some viruses.
    A bacteriophage is a type of virus that infects bacteria. In fact, the word "bacteriophage" literally means "bacteria eater," because bacteriophages destroy their host cells. All bacteriophages are composed of a nucleic acid molecule that is surrounded by a protein structure.
    typical bacteriophage is short phage and have a tadpole structure consist of head and tail region.
    head is made up of capsid and core.
    while tail cosist of collar, sheath, baseplate and tail fibers.
    every stucture have its specific function...
