Sturm is so fire, it has insane range with little stat drawbacks

i have a quickdraw celerity igneous but still love the sturm. the sturm and drang combo is nutty
It just needs a really cool ornament to improve the sight on it and boom
I run it with dram in auto and it goes so well together.
I love sturm. But I wish they changed up its exotic feel a bit. Like maybe have drang kills give you a bullet, but your other weapon if its not drang, make it do like 2 kills to get a boosted bullet (maybe 3 if its a special weapon). Would pull it out of irrelevancy to just be a solid weapon option and really strong dependant on your secondary weapon.

How do you get the catalyst for this gun ? I’ve heard you need drang but I’m new so I don’t have it
Sturm may be great in scrims where there are loadout restrictions, but I've tried using it recently in comp and trials and it just doesn't cut it. Handcannons are in a rough spot right now in general, and it is really hard to justify using this thing as your exotic when you could be using conditional finality or cloudstrike, or even a strong heavy like black talon. Other 120s like igneous hammer and true prophecy are better most of the time simply because they don't take up your exotic slot.
Yeah I think the current meta is pretty restrictive as to what you can really run tbh, there’s like 3 loadouts that are broken and everything else is at least a tier below them
You use conditional as a pvp gun ?
@@nelsonreed1543 Conditional finality is legitimately broken in PvP. I has insane handling for an aggressive frame shotgun and it hard counters bubble, well, and antaeus wards. It's freeze/ignite effects also push out its effective kill range beyond what you might expect from a shotgun with only 30 range.
@@Austere5796I wouldn’t say it’s broken, 9/10 shots you take in a well you die and they don’t. You also have to either smack the Titan while they’re frozen in their bubble to kill, or shoot both shots at them which you risk dying if there’s three people in the bubble. It’s also a very slow rof for shooting back to back, not to mention its consistency is questionable but yes. It is very strong, just not “broken” like target lock on immortal or cloud strike killing whole teams 10 meters apart
@@Phyrrx My guy, it is literally the third most used weapon in trials this week, just under immortal and cloudstike, and it has consistently been in the top ten weapons pretty much since its release. It very much is an effective counter to bubble and well, it always gives you a chance of shutting them down, which is ridiculous considering it's a special weapon and the primary way to shut down things like well and bubble is normally shutdown supers like thundercrash and blade barrage. Sure, there's an element of risk, but that doesn't make it any less powerful. It is overtuned, if it wasn't all the top trials teams wouldn't hotswap to it when supers are up.
With celerity (or ele cap on arc) igneous can get the same range with more stability, handling, reload, ae, and most importantly imo, almost 20 more aim assist. Also I have a roll that has 90 range with 62 stability with quickdraw and snapshot to simulate high handling.
Having said that igneous is a (currently unobtainable) adept with random rolls whereas sturm is a guaranteed roll anyone can get pretty easily so sturm definitely has an advantage as far as accessibility.
Yeah like I said in the beginning you pretty much need a perfect role for it to be on par, I also think when it comes back It likely won’t have celerity so I’m curious if any other perks will worth using
That’s what I was gonna say. I have an adept igneous with hammer forged, ricochet, outlaw, celerity and range MW. I throw on adept handling and I get 90 range + 70 handling. Granted that is like THE 5/5 god roll that you have to go flawless in trials for,
Compared to strum being any exotic that anyone can get
outlaw bad but good roll nonetheless

Literally the only 120s I will touch are Sturm and Igneous- I just can't stand the recoil and handling on anything else (although I haven't gotten Robin yet). About time people caught on to it being meta.
Yeah I think a good igneous might have the edge but the handling is so nice on sturm compared to the other kinetic options
I have a Rangefinder + Explosive Payload True Prophecy that just simply feels better. Sturm is great, but I just don't really like the scope and big gunmodel.

Round robin with enhanced keep away and elemental capacitor with arc subclass gets you there
It does get you pretty close, If I’m on arc I usually run it because keep away is awesome but if you’re not on arc the handling is just not there

Unfortunately it seems like when you have a bad video it effects multiple videos so I’m going to try just moving them to Twitter since I mostly make them for fun/to practice editing anyway

I love Sturm but I feel it lacks flair compared to other guns, it’s great but just feels a bit boring 😂
I kinda think that’s it’s main issue lol like on paper it’s way better than like 90% of the 120s ppl are using lol but it is definitely kinda boring lol

Smallbore ricochet rounds range masterwork + adept range has 97 range + 55 stability and quickdraw and snapshot give it 100 handling aswell😂. Stat moster fosure
