Bret has the right to say whatever he wants .. he gave over a dozen guys their best match .. not even joking if he had 20 minutes with El Dandy it would have been epic
Bret is 100% right, I watched the Golden era, attitude and a little of the ruthless aggression, would not be able to watch todays “WWE”… It sucks like Goldberg.
There are way too many high spots. I’m actually old enough to remember when Jimmy Snuka jumped from the top of the cage. Things like that were once in a lifetime occurrences. Now, it’s several times in each AEW episode.
I grew up with 80's/90's wrestling, All my favourites are all long retired or dead. I used to never miss any WWE TV shows even smaller shows like heat. Now I only watch royal rumble and Wrestlemania. Only match I was looking forward to at Wrestlemania was Rock Vs Reigns but that's off now because of cry babies having temper tantrums. With the exception of a few like Reigns, Mcintyre, Sheamus for example most of the wrestlers today don't even look like wrestlers. It still seems popular I guess so maybe I've just reached the age where I'm past it.
He’s not wrong, wrestlers back in the day were hardcore and the storytelling was forced to evolve in order to survive. Granted, there were times when wrestling wasn’t so good, like the early to mid 90s for example. Or when WWF/E became the only thing in town after WCW folded. But at least there was something that felt legit about what they did. Now it feels too fake.
You’re right. The WWE roster does suck. Outside of the veterans of Orton, Rey Mysterio, CM Punk, Lashley, Sheamus, McIntyre, Nakamura, and AJ Styles some of the better younger names like Reigns, Gunther, Rollins, Karrion Kross, Kevin Owens, and potential in Breakker and Carmelo. The rest of the names suck, the women’s roster is better than the men’s. I miss the days when the roster was truly stacked, Cena, Orton, Batista, Edge, Taker, Shawn Michaels, RVD, Jeff Hardy, Chris Benoit, Jericho, Kurt Angle, Eddie Guerrero, Christian, JBL, Kane, Big Show, Triple H, Booker T, Ric Flair, etc etc, those were the names I grew up watching.
Agreed the women’s roster is superior at the moment, but even there you rarely get those IT matches. And you’ve got talent that never should have gotten away like Ember Moon who was/is a legitimate superstar.
@@thestarseeker8196 Yeah, Ember Moon, Sasha Banks, Paige, Toni Storm, Mickie James, Deonna Purrazzo, Taya Valkyrie, Santana Garrett, Ruby Riott, Emma, Rachel Ellering I didn’t want them to be released or leave.
Stopped watching after Vince bought WCW. Today`s wrestlers couldn`t survive without all the fireworks, laser lights shows and loud music to put them over.
Wrestling lost the shock value in their storyline because of PC. Now it's just wrestling, the characters don't have a lot of depth like the attitude era
Say what you want about Vince but when it comes to the product of WWE it was much better when he was at the helm! Still though just the way society changed in the 10-15 years obviously played a part! I think the pg era although a much better environment for actual workers but as a viewers perspective I think pg era was eventually caused me to stop watching! Todays starts are also just not as entertaining imo!
I Watched the royal rumble it was the first big event I watched in a long time rumble is always my favorite event of the year it sucked. sorry its nowhere near where it needs to be and honestly the roster was not impressive Theres a lot of low level and mid tier guys, but no real stars thats how roman reigns has been on top for so long
Roster is filled with mid-carders at best! Like you said if the roster truly was filled with stars, we'd be seeing other people winning the world title.
Absolutely this is the Charmin era
Facts it's getting worst and worst every week
He's 1000% correct. Women's wrestling is more choreographed than Strictly...
Right i miss when they was sexy and u wanted to go grap trish and or u couldn't wait to see Stacy's legs
Bret has the right to say whatever he wants .. he gave over a dozen guys their best match .. not even joking if he had 20 minutes with El Dandy it would have been epic
The new owners of WWE have no idea what to do, they are grasping at straws trying to keep the "brand" going.
Bret is 100% right, I watched the Golden era, attitude and a little of the ruthless aggression, would not be able to watch todays “WWE”… It sucks like Goldberg.
Bret Hart is the face of workrate hates this workrate era

2010-2015 was all mid carders

There are some great years after that tbh, but yeah by that point, wrestling had peaked, and it just gradually got worse.
😂😂😂shit ,the truth funny as hell
Don't forget the 20 superkicks a match like the young bucks every. Match..knowing getting kicked by anyone onetimebis gonna hurt you. Really stupid
If I was in wrestling I would be the level as a stone cold or Hogan because I can actually cut a promo and know how to act
Wrestling lost the shock value in their storyline because of PC. Now it's just wrestling, the characters don't have a lot of depth like the attitude era
I mean, he has a point but at the same time when is Bret Hart satisfied about anything? 🤷🏾♂️
He isn't. But neckbeards worship him so it's interesting to hear him bury modern wrestling
He has a point but why isn’t he training them?
Wrestlers today are not even midcarders, theyre jobbers larping as midcarders who are booked as main talent.
Whatever Bret says is the truth

We can't do anything about it this ain't the 90's 😂
The women’s roster is the best they’ve had yes

i thought Reigns is sub-par. he wrestles with cringey facial expressions. i don't know why people call it cinema.
He’d kid, get off Brett’s lawn.
Grumpy old man
.
Bret didn't draw a dime
I don't how well he can draw coins but his wrestling cartoon characters were top notch...
@@BDKool he was a good draw when it came to cartoon artwork... The Hogan one in particular made me laugh
