The xmacro rod and spring work fine but I just bought the ISMI rod and recoil spring tuning kit. Never had any problems or malfunction with the xmacro just wanted to play with weights between 15 &17.
@@treemerc101 that's the same setup I'm using with the 3.1" barrel. Got it from SIG Guy along with a 14lb spring that works great! I guess I misread thinking you upgraded to the Fuse. FDEZ has a recoil assembly for the Fuse setup with different weight springs as well... Trying to figure out which one will work with the new setup.

I was considering that same slide/barrel from Fdez werkz....lol well I looked at it online. I can't drop $700+ on a slide and the ported barrel. Very intriguing though. Interested in how it shoots as I have a 365 AXG that I considered swapping out, I like the front comp better and the ports will be cool if they are beneficial in a 3" barrel. (Unless that's the 3.7") I'll be looking out for the video! 😎👊🤘
@@oddballgunman5288I need to see it in action, how does it shoot? Is it a noticable difference on muzzle rise/recoil compared to a stock barrel and slide? For the price of a S&W 5.7 I'd certainly hope the benefits outweigh the stock setup.

I'm currently waiting on the new setup, however my current setup is with the FDEZ blue ported 3.1" barrel and it has run flawless with at least 400 rounds through it. Wasn't aware that FDEZ recommends 124 grain for break in until reading that for the Fuse setup... Been mostly using 115 grain and yet it has been accurate and can definitely tell the difference with the ports and the integrated comp. I can't personally speak for the Fuse setup as stated before. My current setup has been the configuration for about a full year if not a little longer.

If you get all the parts needed through FDEZ it comes out around $650 and you essentially get the recoil assembly for free.
