-Removed someone for speaking German
-All while showing a condescending attitude towards the away team
As Jose Mourinho would say: This is football heritage.
The worst part is they don't even realise their attitude towards the (foreign) away team and their supporters is respectless, condescending and quite frankly pathetic, during a match in which their own support towards their home team was lacking behind significantly compared to Frankfurt's fans.
Sadly, this kind of behaviour, which can be partly traced to the eventification of football, seems to be embedded into English football culture nowadays.
Truly a shame for the historical home of football.

Hey guys, I love English football (heart beats for Frankfurt). I'm always happy when you send something from different stadiums (with your dad), but 2 things don't work for me at all. When fans get tickets and have to leave the stadium because they are in the wrong block and secondly when radio reporters are attacked. Westham fans have attacked reporters who always broadcast our games. Everyone in Germany had to listen to that shit. That's unacceptable!

I prefer English atmosphere to be honest. Theres an intensity to English crowds where the action on the pitch and fans feed off of each other. A lot of the 'european ultra' style often feels manufactured to me. Choreographed jumping, flag waving, scarf twirling etc. Not all of course but sometimes.

@@urlauburlaub2222 it’s not restricting away fans, because the away team already have their allocation on seats, and I’m not against tourist being in the home stand but culturally in English football if you do sit in another teams home end you don’t wear your teams colours and you remain respectful and humble. But I wouldn’t imagine this is common knowledge outside of England so maybe the West Ham fans could have been more forgiving
@@joshuarichards9209 Did the guy they escorted out wear Frankfurt Colours? No, he was wearing a dark grey shirt. Granted i wasnt at tthe game but he didnt seem to be "kicking it off" at all. From the video evidence provided to us he was just sitting there hurting no one. Also this does not excuse the fact that west-ham fans harrassed two german radio commentators whilst they were commentating the game, pulling off their headsets etc.

Does happen in Germany, we went to Bayern vs Chelsea in the old Olympic stadium, 4 of us in the Bayern section. When Chelsea scored we didn’t jump up or anything but they obviously knew we were English. One of them behind hit my brother in the back of the head. At half time my brother whacked him and we got thrown out. Found a pub to watch the 2nd half and the Bayern fans were great in there but it does happen there as well.

I watch every game of my club in Bundesliga and I NEVER (for 10 years) saw someone kicked out as they are supporting the other team. I don’t see the problem. If there are spare tickets and a Frankfurt fan buys one, then they are allowed to be there. There’s no actual law to stop them from sitting there if they’ve paid. If there causing trouble once there, that’s something else but there was no suggestion of that. It just looked like another little Englander getting the hump about someone not speaking English near them because West Ham were down 1-2.

I can't understand, why everything besides the away end in England is home end. In Germany it's not unusual, that Fans outside of the away end are supporters of the away team, cause there are neutral areas in the stadiums. Can't understand why this isn't working in other European countries too.

I was at the game and thought the Frankfurt fans were brilliant! The coordinated chanting and flag waving was quality. You are entitled to cheer if your team scores albeit in the wrong section of the crowd, apologies if you were struck and set upon. At least you had the last laugh although i think all still to play for in the second leg.
I know there is alot of animosity for the Bundesliga. However, it's not a farmer's league like people think it is. Many of the teams there, don't have the big budget like other leagues, but have to get creative to play ball at such a high level. Proof is in the pudding look at today's result and the game against Barcelona. Glasner is one of the best coaches in Europe, his work at Wolfsburg was really phenomenal last season. His tactics took them to the champions league.
Maybe most bundesliga clubs dont have the budget, but they still have their soul.

I am a passionate Frankfurt fan and live in Frankfurt. For my part, I would like to welcome every Westham fan to our Frankfurt Waldstadion. We in Frankfurt will not throw any Westham fan out of the stadium (unless he bullies or uses violence). We in Germany apply fair play and don't just talk about it.
Its the rules in England, you don't sit in the home end if you are an away fan. Its taking the ticket off a west ham fan that probably couldn't go because of it

My father sat to my right and a friendly English West Ham fan to my left. In Germany it's quite common for opposing fans to sit in between. So... what's the problem with you guys in England?
@@ilfotografo1 I told you the problem. It takes away a seat from a home fan that now cant watch the game. It also ruins the unity of the crowd having opposition scattered in it.

Eintracht Frankfurt Fans live inside the West Ham fans head it seems. It seemed like they spent more time looking for rogue Eintracht fans than actually cheering on their team. That said it was a fun game to watch. Either Team could have scored more. Eintracht isn’t that great at home. 🤷♀️ but it will definitely be louder. 🦅🦅🦅
English fans can be loud no question. But for me as a German, it actually quite shameful that they just support their team with noises when they are winning… In Germany this is definitely not the case

Little fun fact: last weekend the 2nd bundesliga had more average stadium visitors than Serie a and laliga (and also championship). I don’t know the stats for the whole season but I’m pretty sure without corona regulations 2nd bundesliga has more viewers than the leagues I mentioned on a regular. The stats for the Bundesliga was 42k, prem was 34k, ligue 1 27, 2nd Bundesliga 25k, laliga 22k, Serie a 21k and Championship 15k for last weekend if I remember correctly

English atmosphere at games has always been different to Europe etc, As you see in Italy Germany or Holland there ultras bring huge banners that are made months in advance & flags etc Crystal palace try to replicate it with there version but it's not on the same level, i first see this when Footbalk italia came to uk Tv & Gazza went to Lazio & i started following them from there on, way before most with the Di Canio connection, all seater has changed football in England for sure & i hate it as i first went in the late 70,s early 80,s back then it was brilliant, well played frankfurt no problem with you or Germans in general, great club & fans ⚒
