Why Warmane Icecrown is better than Lordaeron

- This video explains why Lordaeron is a terrible server and Icecrown is far superior.
**Info About Lordaeron:**
So Lordaeron is a MYTHIC WOTLK server essentially. It's x1 experience rate "Hardcore" warmane server. The raid and dungeon content is buffed significantly. There is no 30% damage/hp/healing/etc buff from hellscream/varion. The bosses have up to 60% reduced time on their enrage timers. The bosses health values and damage values are modified significantly. Example: HC marrowgar = 31m hp on retail. On Lordaeron HC Marrowgar = 49m hp. Yes, you will wipe A LOT of marrowgar!
It's quite common to have to force wipes if at least 2-3 dps die in your raid.
Common Tactics to gear up on Lordaeron:
-2 emblem of frost from daily heroics + 5 weekly emblems of frost and do this until you have 4 piece tier 10 (total of 95 + 95 + 60 + 95) and this doesn't include off-set gear. You don't get to do most raids until you're at-least 5.5k gearscore, with tier 10, and you will be stuck doing 3 boss runs in ICC until you have your full set.
-Progression takes months. Going from 3 bosses to 6 bosses takes months, going from 6 to 8 takes months.
-"North American Raiders" -The most elite of the elite north american players raid in this guild and they've been stuck with 12/12 bosses with 8 heroic bosses for about a year now. They can't progress the last 4 heroic bosses.
Only 2-3 guilds are active "Light of Dawn" farming guilds, and only 30 total guilds have killed Heroic Lich King on both Horde and Alliance combined.

Icecrown is just Lordareon but better,you can adjust your XP rates if you are not a fan of 7x,and enjoy slower leveling. Lordareon just has more challenging content, but the grind ain't worth it in my opinion.
Since Lordareon was my first World of Warcraft server, I like it due to nostalgia. The classic content leveling was fun even at 1x, but it gets worse as you get to Outland and Northrend, leveling gets slower and slower. Lets not even talk about trying to level alts.
You won't realize the actual struggle on Lordareon until you hit 80.I met a lot of people in low level Lordareon Dungeons who I asked why did they pick Lordareon over Icecrown. The answers are either "My friends play here", "I heard Lordareon is recommended for new players", "I dont wan't to wait for Icecrown queue". And to my actual advice that they should switch to Icecrown, they said " I'm having fun here, why would I?". Well this video would be the best response to that statement. Everything said in it is exactly what i realized as soon as I hit level 80 with worst class to do it with (Fury Warrior).

man I can't even imagine trying to quest outland and northrend on 1x xp while waiting 3 hours for a dungeon and then it popping the minute you get ganked by 4 max 80s

@@CulturedHeaven I've only played icecrown so cant speak for lordaeron but 90% of warmane questing and pvp is just level 80s sat in a low level zone one shotting people, you don't even see people level 30-45 in STV just all 60-80s

Honestly cringe on people who hate Lordaeron. Bosses here are so much harder, meaning you can't just ignore mechanics, like on Icecrown. You have to learn almost everything to perfection in order to be a good player. I play on Lordaeron, with lots of alts, that are 80 or close to it. I enjoyed every minute of leveling. On Incecrown its speedrunning to 80, to raid in barely any gear, so you can ignore most things that otherwise would kill you on Lorda. If someone enjoys doing quests, Icecrown is not your server. When do you see other people in questing zones other than in northrend? On Lorda i can meet lots of people anywhere in Azeroth and Outland. It's my opinion, but until this whole server shuts down, Lordaeron players will hate Icecrown players, and vice versa. For casual players who intend to play around 1 hour/day or less Icecrown is good, but for People who actually become better at WotLK Lora is the place, regardless of gear.

Was playing on a very old laptop with integrated graphics card and at the time of my comment I had just invested in my current PC setup.
TLDR this was back during the struggle.
Icecrown is just too easy, it's very common for people to get bis after 2-3 months or even less, gear literally doesn't have any value cause every loser nobody can just swipe a credit card and get heroics and SM from the shop, after you get BiS toon in a pretty short time, what is there left to do? just keep doing the same raids over and over again when you are BiS? nothing else to upgrade, and the bosses are too fkin easy, I chose lordaeron because i wanted a game i could play for a long time and I knew I would get bored after 2 months playing in Icecrown, you never get the feeling of exclusivity in Icecrown because literally there are so many noobs that wont even get past marrowgar in Lordaeron running around with HC ICC trinkets and SM barely knowing game or class mechanics cause they can just buy gear and get 30% buff on already easy mode bosses lol, you will never feel your character is special or that you are needed in a raid because thhere are literally thousands of BiS toons just like you who got it easy peasy, nothing in life that is achieved easily is valued, that's just the way it is, I can speed run a char in icrcrown from fresh lvl1 to 6.3k gs in about 2 months LOL, in Lordaeron that alone would take you maybe a year or 8-12 months if you are very good and have a good guild.
I agree that icecrown sucks due to the environment that it creates. Players get bis and just troll, grief, and ruin everybody else's experiences without caring about the overall community. I think this is because it's a mega-server of people that don't even speak the same language as each other. Often times you'll see a million bans for racism.
I got my mage to 6.5k damn near bis in 2 weeks.
On lordaeron my DK is 6.7k with shadowmourne and it took me a year.
The only problem for me is that the journey doesn't feel meaningful, gear doesn't feel meaningful and your achievements don't mean much when pretty much everything is easy then nothing is really valued, imagine if it took 2 months in university to become a doctor, and the final exams were really easy, not only there would be an inflation of doctors and it would no longer be a "desireable profession" but also the level and professionalism of those doctors would be hoorendous, again, easy things don't have value and don't mean much, I wanted a server where there are no freebies and the journey is actually long and meaningful and people can actually appreciate your skill and and experience, gear, achievements and actually you are valued as an individual by your guildmates and players in general, because if you are truly experienced and geared, there are not many like you.@@Fishbro

Just play on frostmourne bro. You get x7 or x10 exp rates, you won't have to worry about not having people, you can experience the difficult content of lordaeron with the enjoyable leveling process and of Icecrown.
@@Fishbro the main reason i started on loarderon is the icecriwn q times i work a full time job and stufy and the few hours i gdt to play the game i have to spend in a q also i do not wish to donate in order to skip q time.
@@venio0887 you need a progressive guild or atleast a party for FoS PoS HC + RDF H, do them daily, you get enough frosts for items in a month
This is true. I found myself having to grind emblems of frosts for weeks, if not months, just to get to 5.5k gs which is the bare minimum required to join most peoples ICC 10 normal. It's the major thing I wish the admin team changed, but sadly, they are focused more on Icecrown and its huge donators than Lordaeron. It's why I play on Icecrown now as well.
Gotta love "Emblems of Frost" being only available to the majority of players through Daily-Dungeon reward and "Weekly Raid Quest" rewards.

if you'd do dungeon while speak it would be even more interesting to watch and listen , hell i would even watch you in a live stream if so. but also you need better fps and more add-ons for better UI , it really just looks better on screen to and i would love watching that . anyway always nice watching warmane youtubers cheers bro

ICC is ez mode. I have like 12 characters there. I would probably enjoy Lordaeron progression system better, but it seems a bit too stretched on progressing pre ICC gear.

During the time of the video, It took me a year to simply get a single shadowmourne due to artificially low drop rates on items like shadowmourne shards, dbw, dfo, gunship ring, choker, spindle, crypt maker, taij, phylactery and more.
Did you know warmane just changed the shuttle for a sharp drop rate from 3-5% percent to the proper rate? This happened less than 6 months ago.
It is no secret of that warmane Has artificially reduced the drop rates on key items that are very important to gear up, So that you will buy the items from their shop. The problem for this is that Lordaeron Is affected by this, While it doesn't even have a cash shop. This artificially inflates the difficulty of the server, Not by being harder, but by being more tedious and Is requiring more grinding.

I believe everyone has a different experience everywhere. I play on Lordaeron mainly because it's not pay to win. I only do some heroics here and there and that is enough for me. I don't take the game dead serious, but having played this game for more hours than I'd like to admit, there has to be something challenging for me to have fun. Also I always shoot the shit whatever I'm doing. Telling stupid jokes, talking about anything with anyone. Even if I meet some super elitist idiot, I don't let them dictate how I interact with the game. For now I only have one lvl 80 and gearing it was standard procedure. You buy some BOEs from the ah with the money you made levelling up, then do hc dungeons for triumph emblems and you can get 245 ilvl items. You can also get your 277 ring by rep grinding. By that time, you could very well get invited to VOA and TOC 10 and even 25. You have to understand, since the realm is "hardcore", it will naturally appeal to more seasoned players. If the raiding is harder you have to be better at the game if you have the slightest ambition to progress. What I love about Lordaeron is I get a challenge while also having fun.
If you're a skilled player who wants a challenge, I can almost guarantee Lordaeron will be fun for you, but the most important thing I think above all is to HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR DAMMIT AND DO EVERYTHING WITH STYLE
Do you still play bro? I’m somewhat new to warmane and had a similar experience so far. Would love to join a guild with some normal human beings instead of these screeching nerds that look for any minor excuse to ridicule or complain to you. Currently 5.7k combat rog never done icc before.
Yeah I'm on icecrown. Our guild's name is sub to fishbro and my toons are debitcardwar, fishbropala, and tankculese.
I'm not gonna make any promises on flaming/toxicity but for the most part we're all chill and we aren't hyper-focused on bitching about the little things.
Its true, if you wana play on lordaeron be prepared to grind. Everyone expects 5.2k gear score as a minimum

Pay 2 win = Progress is blocked by cash purchases. Icecrown is literally Retail, but you can buy gear instead of raiding for it. As discussed in the video, you can spend $200 on shadowmourne, but nobody really does that. I have only met 2 people in a 4 month period who donated for their SM.
Most people get their gear the normal way, which is retail-like.

I've donated Shadowmourne just for fun, but I don't shit on people they are weak or anything like this. I've never killed the Lich and it's 2022... I just log for questing and chat with friends... I spent 6 hours a week in WoW. Work and family above video games.. 😀 I've never cared if they call me noob or donator.

Sad but worth it. Level up on Icecrown, it's a FAAAAAR better server and you'll actually enjoy the content. Lordaeron is full of frustration, headaches, and time waste. It's way worse than Mythic Raiding.
It's not a server. It's a realm. They are the same server.

i guess u forgot about "The Drunk Shack" 80% of our roster are NA players and we did LOD, we never progressed ldw hc but we cleared 11/12hc on icc + rs25hc so not sure about NAR being the most elite of the elite kek

@@YuraruY Your guild leader "Tiamut" got kicked out of the guild for being too toxic and driving the guild into the gutter, your guild took 1.5 years to progress Light of Dawn, meanwhile there were bosses you could not actually progress like Lady Death whisper, you did not complete all content in 1.5 years, AND your guild is dead. Like bill says, it's a dead guild flex.
P.S Let's not mention your officers poached my guild's officers and took all the elite raiders from my guild, and my guild collapsed, reformed, and still beat your guild in time taken to progress content. Your guild leader paid Real life money to my officers to join your guild and I told my officers "No harsh feelings, I'd leave too if I got paid".

I didnt know lordarean was like that i just thought it was blizzlike x1 xp. Also harder raids doesnt seem right and is more like a custom fun server with custom gear and bosses just dumb.
Yeah the raids being buffed to high hell pushes away all the new players who reach max level. You play on Lordaeron, get to 80, try to raid, get stomped, and go move over to icecrown where you can get 80 in like 1/10th of the time it took you on Lordaeron (x7 exp with x3 gold rates, x3 professions, easily accessible gear and high lvls who can boost you). Icecrown is just the superior server, even though it's got it's own problems. Lordaeron is the type of server you want Icecrown population on. If Lordaeron was it's own-individual server then it'd have something going for it. But nope, it's warmane.
I find my inner peace by doing achv. Im raiding from time to time not regullary...so put all wierdos back and do things that you like btw i was in your guild :)

I would recommend against warmane tbh. It's got fake population, tons of bots and a toxic community.

I just hit level 62 in warmane and never got to play WoW before, and I got a couple IRL friends playing. I'll get them to join the guild.

Edit: Frostmourne is literally a better "Lordaeron" and if you play on Lordaeron I recommend you move over.
It has the exact same content, has the 5/10/15/20/25/30% buff if you so choose to use it to help gear yourself and your boys up, it has x7 experience rates, has a much friendlier, nicer, and open community. They don't circle-jerk each other over "Being the best" but help each other grow and progress. The x7 exp rates also makes this server much more open to experienced players looking to experience the "Hardcore" content Lordaeron has to offer, without the dreadful leveling experience. The x1 exp rates of Lordaeron also contribute to a lack of classes, and inability to re-level another character to 80 just for the sake of raid comps. x7 vs x1 makes it possible to hit 80 in a day vs a month (Quests never run out, don't have to change zones, etc). Overall Frostmourne is literally "Lordaeron 2.0" and is far superior in every way.
Lordaeron =/= Retail WOTLK
Icecrown = Retail WOTLK
Lordaeron has content that's been significantly buffed. Heroic marrowgar on Lordaeron has 49,000,000 hp (This is without 30% damage buff) and he has a 6 minute enrage timer. You have 6 minutes to do 49 million dmg.
To put this into perspective: Heroic Festergut has a 5m enrage timer and 57,000,000 hp, so you have 300 seconds to do 57m hp without the 30% buff (With 30% buff it would be 74.1 million in 5 minutes, average dps needs to do 13.7k dps w/30% buff to put it in perspective)
On HC retail wow Marrowgar has 31,000,000 (and you have 30% damage buff) on heroic
Festergut has 40m hp, and the content is easily progressable.

If you want to target my credibility go ahead. But the fact is I lead 12/12 (8 Heroics) on this server with heroic Professor progress, I know all tactics to all content, I know all classes, all skills, I led guild raids for a very long time, I've made over $1000 playing wow since I started the channel be it RMT services offered outside of the game over discord such as coachings and whatnot. I've made over a million gold on a x1 gold rates server with 50% gold squish. I have over 15 guild banks on this server full of every item in the game. I have many characters with heroic gear. I have an unholy DK with 4 items away from best-in-slot. I raided hardcore for 6 hours a day, 3 days a week, for over a year, and led 3 cores in my guild "Sparta". I'm the most hated player on the server because I called every elitist out on their bullshit. The fact remains that Lordaeron players want to do 12/12 heroics but don't want to help the little guy. That makes the server die more and more.
Last but not least the population is going down drastically since I left. It was at 7000 and now is at 4500, and will continue to drop.

The server is dead as fuck sadly. Used to be such a good server but they killed the server when they increased the normal mode difficulty even further while decreasing heroic's difficulty. That just means slower gearing up for new players that takes months to years, but once geared you can easily get bis afterwards as Normal and HC are virtually the same.

x1 exp sucks donkey dick. No matter what people will not want to play on x1 servers. Especially when classic has been out for 4 years and leveling 1-80 is trivial content. Even if you factor in dungeon finder and leveling guilds, the leveling factor/gameplay becomes enjoyable when you level up more than once every 1/2 hours.
x3 or x5 exp is a NECESSITY.
I barely play in warmane anymore, honestly knowing what kind of reputation Fisbro had on that realm kinda makes me understand why he dislikes lordaeron. The realm is full of elitist jerks, who are complete douchebags so I can't blame him.
I'm completely cool with you (said people on the server) being an elitist, But when Your Guild's mission is to be the best skilled on the server, not through competition with others, but through sabotage, that is where I draw the line.
Instead of having the best players on the server help out every other Guild and grow the server population, they take advantage of the low population population, they infiltrate other guilds and they sabotage those guilds and break them apart. This happened to overnight guilds that I was in, including 3 of the guilds I was leading myself. It's disgusting behavior.
Followed that up with the fact that they ride their high horse of being the best players in all World of Warcraft because they complete the hardest wrath and lich kin content in existence. But news Flash, Frostmorn has a population of well over double their population and those players complete the content that is the exact same just as easily so it's really ridiculous that they trash talk every other server so hard.

Warmane is just as bad or worse. In the guild i recently joined you are required 6.2KGS to be invited to TOGC25HC. That is having mostly ICC25HC gear equipped. There is no real progress guilds since everyone has ridiculous requirements. Hardly anyone properly inspects you to check for gems, enchants, tier bonuses etc. No wonder why theyre not even progressing in ICC because they dont understand game mechanics.
