no actually there is a way to tell if he is gonna rebound, as you see in the video his hurtbox just falls out of the world if he doesnt rebound, cutting out the thumping sounds you are safe to go, but if you still faintly hear it making it clear that he IS gonna go back. just have your volume on high and be alert.
