I think the lesson is pay more attention to what is done than said. Actions speak louder than words. Our POTUS understands that. We now know a lot about the virus so it’s easy to criticize the president but what everybody continues to ignore is that we were blindsided by something that the best medical experts in the world had no clue how to handle so Trump took the bull by the horns and shut it all down as early as January which was the right thing to do.

The Trump task force that was assembled provided everything the states needed as far as ventilators and even mobile hospitals which they didn’t even use. The mismanagement was at the state level, especially in NY who experienced the most deaths because of their governor sending infected patients into nursing homes which killed thousands of seniors. He should’ve put those patients on the mobile hospital ship. Every governor praised Trump for providing them with what they needed. The government did it’s job thanks to the president. Some of the state leadership failed miserably.

I think the lesson is pay more attention to what is done than said. Actions speak louder than words. Our POTUS understands that. I watched this great episode of a police show where there was a potential dirty bomb in NYC, and the Commissioner was obviously aware but elected to let his people handle it while allowing the public to keep feeling safe. Panic is often worse than the problem itself. This was a tough situation and its impossible to know if someone else could have handled it better.
This wasn't a dirty bomb, this was an illness. Not even close. & completely preventable if the proper precautions were taken. But they weren't, because the dipshit in the White House, along with Faux News, told everybody it was no big deal. Don't worry about it. Even after knowing that it does effect children, he continued to lie and say children were practically immune. There was no reason for that!
President Trump is an affective leader and not causing public panic was the correct direction. This was an issue in modern times that no one had ever dealt with. Italy, Spain, and South American Countries were in worse shape than the USA per capita. Peru initiated Martial Law not once but twice. Second guessing is the norm in our country and in hindsight all the leftist could say they would have done a better job, which if you look at how California and New York is ran, it is obvious that they could not have done anything better. But there is a difference between "remaining calm" and "omitting information". Trump just said that China could have stopped it from coming here. That means that WE could have stopped it once it got here. Wuhan is throwing parties now because they locked down tight and haven't had any new cases in months. If America had taken this seriously, we could have stopped it months ago. Instead we got conflicting information or cases where people taking proper precautions were insulted.
