Two things are tough with ranked right now. 1. I solo que and I've noticed there are very few other players playing solo right now. I got the same person 4 times in a row last night. So that means most teams you encounter are 3 stacks. Even if they're not the greatest players, it's still very difficult to stand your ground and take a fair fight when they ape together and team fire. 2. The support meta makes it harder to carry a team of randoms. I'm constantly in situations where I get a knock and here comes the newcastle, lifeline, mirage, ect.. to instantly revive them. If my teammates don't push with me then I either have to let the kill go or try and 1v3 the situation. Usually I'll push if I can and if I die then oh well. I'll get diamond no matter what I do and I really don't care that much about my rank anyway. Half the time one of the teammates starts running away before I even go down so it's pretty much hopeless when you see that. If they won't fight now they probably won't do anything if you try and take them to endgame. With that being said I do get fighting randoms sometimes and get banger games. I just don't worry so much about RP and just try to get the bad games over with as fast as possible. If the teammates take too long to respawn and I'm not seeing any damage or effort from them I just leave. Same if I see one or both of them go off to rat. I'm like "ok go have fun with that, I'm out."

Completely nailed it mate. My experience exactly. Had a game earlier in the season where I had 7 knocks and 0 kills. Teammates just refused to push and finish teams off. But whenever I get knocked im swarmed 2/3 players instantly trying to finish me. Teammates not using abilities is a huge frustration too. When you fight an enemy team and they're sitting in their halo after throwing gibby ult at you, and your own Gibby doesn't even bubble, and your conduit/lifeline doesn't heal once the entire game :( I just want a solo queue mode. Maybe there aren't enough solo's to make it work, but I wish they would at least try. I'd prefer to wait a litle longer to get into a game than just die to 3 stacks every time.
2-steps, save ranked: 1 Diamond+ can now only soloQ in ranked. 2 NEW eliteQ for diamond+ ONLY, where you can 3 stack and qualify for tournaments. These steps would make ranked lobbies much higher quality (you can always make a competitive lobby if there are zero 3 stacks) AND makes playing much more desirable for 99% of players.
I see your point and for the most part like it but most people do not enjoy SoloQ which is why ranked player count will reduce further increasing sweats which will reduce the player base even more, it’s a vicious cycle. Even i used to soloQ ranked and even gave comms to my team but most of them don’t interact/coordinate with anyone and usually go open mic only to scream at you when they are downed.

I’m plat 4 and last night I faced 3 triple stacking pred teams. The rank distribution straight up skipped masters and was gold, plat, diamond, then pred 😭
So sad how relateable this is. I get my two random gold teammates who don't use a single ability all game and die to triple stack masters teams who are spitting comms in discord. I just want solo queue lobbys.
Not sure if I believe this, they implemented an update where Plats and below no longer face preds in there lobbies. Im diamond 3 and dont get them every game but I do get a few.

There are plenty of issues with ranked, I just think it's crazy how BAD the rewards are. You get a gun charm you likely won't use, a banner frame you likely won't use, a badge you MIGHT use and a dive trail that is completely removed from your account within 3 months. No crafting mats, no unique character/gun skins, no special currency.
Potential fix: Solo Q ranked. Respawn say they're trying to take risks with the game now but still haven't even tested solo q ranked. Fix 2: Slow matchmaking. I personally don't mind waiting a couple minutes to get matched against players in my rank. I'm D4, will start a game and within a minute I'm loaded in a lobby with a range of silver-pred players. Based on that, as a solo q player outside of players not rage quitting, and avoiding the relic weapons in pubs, there is currently no reason whatsoever to play ranked.
I think the biggest thing i hate currently is support metta and loba ult Lstsr meta slaves. Its not wild. You can just see energy and cells disapearing off the map once you land
For the first time in apex history on console (Xbox specifically) I saw a player cheating with blatant bullet curvature in OG Royale, even clipped it. I didn't check if he was actually PC player playing with consoles or what, new game was already loading when I was spectating his shots so I quickly recorded the last 30 seconds. Actually was in such disbelief.
The insta loba ult has made me not want to play. You land with 1 or 2 other teams and every single cell, all of the ammo and shotguns are gone within 20 seconds of hitting the ground.
If they’re not willing to implement solo queue only after a certain rank threshold, they have to extend matchmaking times so plats play plats, diamonds play diamonds, master/pred play master/pred. If I can die off drop 3 matches in a row in D4 while all three of those games have 20+ master/pred players, those players could’ve waited 3-4 minutes for their own lobby.
Na diamond should play with masters and preds sometimes why have someone hit masters who can’t play in the top lobbies that’s how we got to this disaster. Plats should be safe tho
@@rendy5092 I play on dallas and last night our lobby had 1 silver, 2 golds, 21 plats, 20 diamonds, 6 masters and 10 preds and at least 3 of the preds were a 3 stack of professional players that wiped us off drop. Also I had preds in my games over half the time (7 or 8/12 iirc). Im diamond 3 so i can kinda understand but its still wild. (I was playing with another d3 and a plat3)

Reality is, the Apex player base just can't make anything work, no matter how you change the queue or lobby. With an average of 140,000 players across all servers at the highest rank only about 1% of players are in the top ranks, making it impossible to balance. Even if you make it fully solo queue, as a pro player, you just queue when everyone else is queuing, so you have a high enough chance to get teammates who are actually on your friend list. If you get a random Master and go against a full stack of pros, guess how many days it takes for HAL to complain again? XD
and yet again, see the comment of only diamond + can now only soloq in rank and new eliete q for diamond +, GUESS how many players are actually diamond +. and when they going to que something different than normal rankque, GUESS how long it will take for que to pop.

Yet another week goes buy where I’m hardstuck D2/1 just going back and forth and back and forth fighting Masters and Preds every other game but I don’t complain because I like to test myself against the Preds….but it’s simply impossible to hit Masters Solo. Randoms never want to communicate in Diamond lobbies knowing there’s Masters and Preds and yet they CHOOSE to make the game harder for themselves by staying muted. I’m legit this close to just giving up even trying to hit Masters anymore until they fix Ranked. None of my friends want to play Apex because it’s too hard for them so I’m forced to Solo Q and I’m fine with it…I just wish other players would just Mic up and make the games easier but they just don’t care therefore I shouldn’t care anymore either.

The real problem right now is people will complain non stop, nicewigg especially as a pro/streamer/content creator needs to give actual suggestions, you cannot just say "it's sucks, it's bad" as a pro he should know what could work and what couldn't but instead just shits on the game instead. Especially in a competitive mode constructive criticism and ideas are needed, these pros can bitcu all they want but they NEED to suggest things, like tune the rp this much, rp needs to rely on this or that more etc

I am a Solo Quer from day 1 of this game and I havn't touched rank this season, that game mode is dead for me thanks to Respawn Devs. Its like someone at EA wants to kill this game to make way for Battlefield 2025 BR.. its sad because there is no game like Apex Legends.
Apex needs a complete overhaul. Something so big that it would essentially be "Apex 2". Ranked in a BR is also hard. I wouldn't be opposed to respawn moving away from battle royale
Apex is cooked, and this comes from someone who loves the game and has spent 4K+ hours playing it. Just feels like a cosmetics shop instead of a game at this point.

I was actually enjoying this map when it's released

I would say 2nd worse tbh, I still got broken moon at the bottom
I like it because it's a night map but it needs less choke points. It'd bee cool to see some underground tunnels.
