It’s a Lone star racing Honda 250R chassis. When we got it there was a Honda CR 85 engine in it. It was set up for motor cross. We’ve made changes to it for Hare Scramble Racing and changed the engine when he got old enough to race in a higher class.
Thanks, we figured that out eventually and rewrapped it and kept it away from the head. We just wanted to keep it wrapped in the front near the oil cooler and near his leg.
Did you check online at rockymountainatvmc.com ? They’ve got a good selection of aftermarket and also OEM parts. I buy a lot of parts from them to keep all three of our quads racing.
I think you have to put the fan behind the oil cooler not in front of it to pull air out not in, now you are blocking the air stream ....thats how the fans work on a car....
It works pretty good like this. I’m not sure how else we could mount it. Just have to make sure fan is wired to pull air from the front and blow through the cooler.
Also you said its a hybrid? So what quad is it? Different frame and different motor you mean? So which frame?

What size /kind of wire you use? I tried some wire burn it kept burning up the line tht the fan and toggle switch is on
I had a pigtail that came with my fan and I just used wire that matched it. It sounds like your fan is bigger and drawing more amps.
How dose the fan hold up with racing?
We haven’t had a problem with it yet. It’s been on a couple years now.
Ok I'm doing one on my trx300ex
Where did you get the fan?
Beatzby Roy You can get one on eBay or Amazon for around $25
how did it do?
It has helped, but it’s kind of a band aid I think. There is something wrong causing it to get too hot.
The exhaust wrap makes it hold a lot of heat in the head

RAPTOR 350 OR 660?
The engine is from a Raptor 250. There is a size limit of 300cc 4 stroke in the class my son races in based on his age.
@@Mudford I got an oil cooler on raptor 350 but It needs new lines, any idea where I should search and what lines I'm looking for?

@@Mudford ua-cam.com/video/pdBs1gm5HN0/v-deo.html .....this way doesn't cut the airstream just like it is in a car>>>but if your way works ok
