    Beautiful restoration.. beautiful bike.. congratulations! Your videos are inspiring and motivational, so thank you. I bought a new T3 back in 1977 when I was 21.. a dream come true, now at 67 years old I've just bought a 1982 T3 California with 129000 km on the clock.. wish me luck! Best regards, Pete

    I had the Guzzi T3 for many years absolutely loved it totally different experience to any other bike, sound, braking,engine all perfect. The engine sound was distinctive and basically spoke to you saying o.k throw anything you want at me i can handle it.
    The only things that needed fettling were the designed for sunny climates electrics, essential to convert to electronic ignition and also essential in England and Wales(particularly Wales) to carry a can of WD40 and some dry cloths ready to give the coil a quick spray and dry.
    Beautiful bike designed by a genius who dared to be different.
    Thanks for the memories

    Such a good motorcycle. Beautiful resto, too. Love how much smoother and more flexible the small valve/carb T3 is compared to the 850 lemans. I’ve owned both, and, looking back, the T3 had a much nicer engine. Many years later, I have kept just one of the guzzi’s I owned. A 1990 LM 1000. Truly a beast. I’m currently looking for a medium valve head for it to take the edge off the beast. Moral of this comment: sometimes softer tuning really is better.

    Ho una T4. Non capisco perché su questa T3 siano state fatte delle modifiche non adatte, tipo pompa freno anteriore, pinze freni anteriori di colore diverso all'originale, manubrio non originale, luce posteriore non originale, marmitte non originali e strumenti al manubrio non originali. Sono dell'idea che un restauro debba riportare la moto come uscita dalla fabbrica. Comunque complimenti al tecnico!

    That came out nice. I'm curious how you like the new foot rest placement. I'd did that same thing to an 850T I owned a few years back. It was better than stock but not by much. I have similar taste in motorcycles. Except for the Laverda. Triples si, Twins non. Cool bikes though. Thanks for posting.

    • @LoscarMotorcycles
      @LoscarMotorcycles  Рік тому +1

      Hi Mike.😊  Moving the footrests back doesn't improve comfort and is for aesthetics only, but the position isn't uncomfortable at all. I think the same with the Laverda but it is so pretty!! Thanks and Merry Christmas✌

    Hi from New Zealand.
    First of all what fantastic restoration of a highly underrated bike.
    I am restoring a 850T and was wondering what colour you used on the fork lower legs.
    Cheers
    .

    • @LoscarMotorcycles
      @LoscarMotorcycles  Рік тому

      Friend Chris😊. The underrated T3?? I am lucky enough to enjoy restoring different bikes (now I am working on the latest project for a Kawa Z900) and the Guzzi is one of my favourites. It has a powerful and smooth engine, fantastic braking with great stability and is excellent for touring. You will have a lot of fun on the wonderful roads of New Zealand. What you ask is not painting. In the video "Third Part" you can see it in more detail. First the aluminum is polished and then this part is protected with adhesive tape to finish with a jet of glass microspheres.
      You remove the protective tape and that is the result. Enjoy with the Guzzi and thanks for watching my videos. Loscar ✌

    The bike of my dreams when I was 17 back in the mid-70's. Check out the foot-peg positioning - everyone else back then still had you in a "sitting on a chair" riding position (mainly because they couldn't be bothered to move the gearshift back via a rear-set linkage), so if you wanted to put your weight on the pegs or even stand on them (lots of reasons for doing so) you had to pull on the bars to do it, unsettling the bike - stupido! Guzzi had theirs set just like all modern bikes do.

    Just stumbled across your UA-cam page and ABSOLUTELY LOVE your vids and these beautiful restorations!! Well done sir👍🏻! I'm getting ready to do my first restoration, a '73 Honda CL175. It's been about 9 years since I last had a bike and really miss riding. I wanted something different this time around and I found myself looking for something vintage. When I came across this bike that also came with a '70 parts bike for $175, I thought that's the one! I know it's a small bike but horsepower and speed don't mean as much to me these days. Just enjoy the bike and the ride...

      mickster boone Had one in the 80s. I removed the side stand completely for safety reasons.. Also the tediously bad air filter box, replaced with k&n. Nice cheap Ford Escort battery would fit if you removed the tool tray. Rusting brake pistons, seized front engine mounting bolt, chokes freezing up in the winter.. Still sorry I got rid of it, but nowhere to keep it at the time.

      It is a great slow and meticulous job. Each piece and screw goes through the hands many times but when it is finished a great satisfaction.Thank a lot! Cheers, Loscar

      Thank you Jakob. I'm glad you like it, because it's one of my favorite bikes. Now, I am restoring, another Japanese classic. A 1976 Kawasaki Z900, which is another great bike.
      Best wishes. Loscar

      @@LoscarMotorcycles Nice. Actually a 1000 SP is the whole reason why I became interested in motorcycles. A childhood friends father had one and his wife had a Le Mans. I really dig the design of these machines. I wish you great luck with Kawa, also an iconic machine! :)

    Beautiful restoration Loscar! May I ask what handlebar you used? I would like to use the same on my T3, many thanks

      I apologize for the delay. As for the handlebar I did not find its specification but it is of the tourist type. It measures 68 cm wide. I hope this is enough. I take this opportunity to congratulate you and your family on Christmas. 😊My best wishes. Loscar

      Thank you Lupo 😊 I'm glad you like it. In this time of covid I have continued to restore, finishing a Commando for a friend and with another Honda Four K2 of mine, that I had saved but in no hurry to finish.
      Now I am finally in a new project that excites me!
      !
      It is a beautiful Laverda SF 750 from 1972 that you will surely like too.
      Best regards Loscar ✌️👍

      @@LoscarMotorcycles Of course I like it. Your videos are alway a pleasure to me. I prefer old bikes. I own a BMW R60/6 since 1984. It was build in 1976 and has more than 300.000 km now. I bought the BMW with 152.000 km. Since 2012 I own a Moto Guzzi Mille GT, build 1994, second series and a BMW R100 RS from 1981. Best wishes, Lupo
