These are not permanent resident hotels. To set up such a large number of tents along with all those facilities it cost them ( organisation/companies) too. They can't provide all those things for na and if you're worried about the recovery of government funds ( basically our tax money ) Kumbh Mela is going to generate a revenue of × 200 % the principle amount and other cheaper alternatives are also available. I thought spirituality is about getting out of comfort zone. Great the govt collaborated with few agencies for providing luxury tents. Sounds more like resort camping than a spiritual event.

Dont get afraid. Come. I brought my mother, wife, daughter with me. Yes i agree money need to be spent, but you will get accomodation. Take precautions about cold. Bring sufficient medicines, pain releif jels etc.
