Yea i know right cuz thats the 1st thing that came to my mind when they said not to keep your registration in your car 🙄
yup i was gonna comment and say cops always ask for license and registration, both of which is required, so u absolutely have to have to have it
also im pretty sure i can't take someone anyone's registration and get keys made, only place i know that can make keys is the dealer which would obviously need to check your identity
I just keep my copies in my wallet. Most wallets have a separate special window pocket for your driver's license...I just fold up each and put them behind my license. They're only in the car when I am. Both issues solved.
When it comes to the keys, I have a awesome invention. How about a alarm? That is programmed into the key and programmed to a certain car and if the car gets broken into not only does the alarm on the car go off at the alarm on the key goes off.

I live way out in the country, had just bought a new battery, never locked my car, someone either a neighbor or someone visiting my neighbor exchanged an old smaller battery for my new battery. Now I always lock my car even at home in the country
It's unbelievable to me how someone could have neighbors a few mile away and still leave their car unlocked. I never left my car unlocked. I lock it even inside the garage.

You can also use your car alarm panic button if someone is trying to break into your home. If the car is in your driveway it will likely scare them away. Good tip if you have no other way to defend your home and you're waiting for 911 to arrive

My friend used to drive a rusty honda civid that was basically beat up but ran like a champ. I always thought it was funny because nobody would touch the car and he was basically careless about locking it. Never got stolen which was a bit surprising seeing that Civic's were commonly stolen at that time but I guess this one looked so bad nobody wanted to bother. The key was that he wanted the car to look undesirable but put the money into the engine so it ran like a top, but looked like it had been at a junk yard.

I think for number 13 you’d have to show your drivers license aka ID to match the registration or purchase new keys/fobs. Stolen vehicles is a major thing cops look for I believe.

I'm confused about the one at 5:55. If you hide your registration at home, what do you do if you get pulled over? Don't cops typically always ask for license and registration right away? I guess you could bring it with you everywhere you go, but isn't that kind of a hassle? Is there such a thing as an electronic registration on your phone?

Most cop cars in the US have licence plate readers anyway so they know everything about you BEFORE they pull you over .
