Here is the thing, citing the gospel over and over and over for most people doesn't do any good. When you push and prod and suggest, people tend to put their walls up. It's like telling an addict he or she needs to quit because of yada yada yada. That's what people start to hear at some point. For any hardcore fundamentalist or whatever, this is a big part of the reason people don't want to learn more and such. Time and time again people get this icky taste is their mouth because of "these Christians". This is not about lying or winning the favor of anyone, it's about breaking down those walls to reveal the truth. How many people go up to a pool and jump right in? Maybe a few. Most put a foot in to test the water, then go to their knees and so on. When they submerse themselves they feel how great and refreshing it is. Same thing here.
Dang, not only did I got watch this JRE episode, I went and watched to original debate video... Wes wasn't given much of a chance to give any evidence or apologetic after he smoked Billy's sources for being forgeries and fakes. Thanks for bringing this out, I don't really watch Joe Rogan unless someone recommends a specific episode.
Reminds me of the backlash that Ken Ham got when he debated Bill Nye, and people were bothered that Ken just cited Scripture instead of science
