I watched this so many times yet and the tears wont stop coming, so so touching. Although there isn't really much back story it was still so good and touching! Wong Fu 4 lyfe!
Wong Fu Productions I always love seeing how storyboards compare to a final film and the fact these are so similar really shows what a great job you did in planning. I always find though that sometimes when you get on the set there will always be something you could never visualise in the storyboards that can inspire you to try something new.
Absolutely.....MAGNIFICENT!!! My advanced computer students have been asked to create a video to play in the back of a song for the Orchestra Spring Concert. I always emphasize the importance of storyboarding. However, this is the 1st time I have used a storyboard comparison video. Plus, the video is school/age appropriate. Thank you!!!
I was just awestruck the whole time I was seeing how that storyboard was brought to life. D: I've seen the video before and I wasn't a fan of this particular song (even though I loved Kina) so I wasn't able to appreciate the video as much as well, but after seeing a bit of its process, I fell in love with it.
Awesome comparisons! I've just worked on a storyboad as well, regarding my first short film I'm making at school. This video would've been a great inspiration, but I'm glad I can re-watch this from now on. :)
Amazing job, I love the end result! This video was actually also really helpful to me since I always have trouble drawing up my storyboards and to see how you did it actually taught me a lot!
Inspiration to dreamers like me. To someone who has no clue on how to produce a proper video or short film, this i believe will give an edge. Thank you for the video. PS: for a moment i thought you guys are trying to promote the danger behind distracted drivers who uses their phone while driving
Wow, great job guys! I mean *you don't have time to get all detailed with illustrations* so they can't help looking rushed ya know? :P It was pretty neat seeing the side-by-side!
Who's the guy and what is the song about? It's kinda shocking when the plane destructed and the guys scream.. This is my first time watching the music video
iRandom i don't think he is trying to say that there should not be vocals in the chorus but rather that the vocals in this chorus have no dynamics or something
The sketches in this is decent, but not worth being part of this amazing video. I realize they're just sketches, but these are some very poor sketches. The purpose of doing sketches is so that your final product will have the correct proportions, but a lot of the proportions are messed up. Other than that I absolutely love the video! It was beautifully filmed
Is Wong Fu an animation group or a videography group? Cartoonists need proportions, videographers don't. A human's proportions won't change in real life, nor would a rock, nor would a bed. Reality and the environment itself don't change proportions. Proportions serve little to no purpose in this film, other than for the spacecraft.
You guys did a great job! :) Happy to know you guys did this project!
Thanks Jeffrey!
OMG I love you Jeffrey!
Wesley Chan I love you guys, The video is very creative. i love the storyboard drawing.

Wow, it's actually super cool to see those rough sketches brought to life! Amazing job Wong Fu Productions !!
Can't thank you guys enough for helping with my media project and the storyboard idea. Thanks for the laugh and inspiration you give!
Gosh, this was amazing to see everything drawn out and put to life. End product is wonderful!
Awesome video! Seeing this side by side was very helpful 🙌🏼
Love seeing those sketches come to life! Great work Wong Fu :)
I was just awestruck the whole time I was seeing how that storyboard was brought to life. D:

I love this! Shows the incredible work you guys do :)
Inspiration to dreamers like me. To someone who has no clue on how to produce a proper video or short film, this i believe will give an edge. Thank you for the video.

Really incredible seeing storyboard to final project, great job! Also A+ for Arden Cho
Great work guys! it's interesting to see the comparison! :)

i'm so mindblown right now just knowing i was on youtube the same time wong fu was XD

I thought the song was nice, rather than boring I thought it was rather soothing :)
Thank you sooo much i didn't realise how much this would help me for my media coursework loool!
OMG ITS THE VOICE OF HIRO FROM BIG HERO 6!!!!!!!!!!!! no wonder he looked familiar!!!!
What phone was in the background?
Wow, great job guys!
I mean *you don't have time to get all detailed with illustrations* so they can't help looking rushed ya know? :P It was pretty neat seeing the side-by-side!
***** I never said it had to be detailed.
Anywhere.
poor illustrations? they still look pretty amazing to me!
I know right?! My drawings are terrible
Blueburry123 They are a part of storyboard sketches so they are supposed to be rough !
*****
No, I meant that these sketches are better than my drawings
thanks for this vid
my storyboards always look so bad...how do you guys do it?!?!
This is so cool... O.o
Even though these are just "sketches" they are still better than any of my drawings
!
Who's the guy and what is the song about?
It's kinda shocking when the plane destructed and the guys scream..
This is my first time watching the music video
YAAAS Ryan K. Potter☺️😊😘👌
Arden is so beautiful
I love this part : 2.42-2.46 :)
Much feels!! qaq...
ryan potter is beautiful :)
Goshhh!!is that ryan potter???he's hot!!
is it bad that i enjoyed this more than the actual video?
Basicaly the guy wearing the ear piece is just there because he can do hand movements
2nd viewer woo woo
Did I actually?
Awesome video guys. Don't worry about the art; I use stick figures for storyboards :p
This remix is better than the original
Good video and sketch. I was watching this entire video by muting the audio. The music is jut not my type. Peace.
Does it remind anyone else of battlestar galactica?
5th comment woooo, and under 301 club!
That storyboard brings shame to my art. Wow. Still amazing though.
.
:D
ARDEN B CHOOOOOO
Uhm...woah. 8 views? Yeshhhhhh
This song is so incredibly boring. Also a lesson on how not to do vocals in a chorus.
Storyboard is fantastic though.
OMG I know right?? No range at all!
umm how is a chorus a chorus if there aren't vocals. Or am I not understanding what you are trying to say
iRandom i don't think he is trying to say that there should not be vocals in the chorus but rather that the vocals in this chorus have no dynamics or something
Did wongfu compose the song? No. All they did was make a music video for it. Go criticize the song on Kina Grannis' UA-cam channel.
Bryan Liang "Storyboard is fantastic though." Did you fail grade 2 reading comprehension or something holy fuck
first -_- nvm im never first

Other than that I absolutely love the video! It was beautifully filmed
but its a music video not an art project they just want to show the process

Good points. But this storyboard was made for the purposes of mapping the song/story progression, frame composition, and camera movement.
Wesley Chan u guys should do a drawing competition on wfw...*^_^*
I realized all of this after I wrote the comment, I spoke too soon
dont get it
