I remember me and my sister getting one each for a christmas present in 1973. They came in a kit with four different colored string. I love the one in this video.
Me too brought back memories. And its good to be creative clears my head for that time no worries and stress just wich color painting hotfix this ore just drawing. For me it Works
you neeed to start one round alteast with normal speed , similarly when you started the white thread the video shows one round finished , thsi is not the way to show your illlustration, you are hurrying time 5:14 how did you do , i think no body will understand ? what is the use
That`s beautiful! They had kits of these when I was a kid. You could make different designs, animals, whatever struck your fancy. I remember doing an owl. Does anyone else see the irony of using strand board, lol?
Absolutely awesome so techniques it is absolutely beautiful you would need lots patience with this beautiful art work so smart I would absolutely love to give this a go and see how it turns out😍😍😍😍😍😍
This is an incredible piece of work, patience, precision and beauty - it is truly amazing what us 'flawed' ould human can do!! I would watch this over and over again. Spectacular. Is there a "string thread connection" document available for this - I would be willing to pay a few bob for this. It reminds me of string art my brother used to do over 40 years ago.
I have been looking into maybe trying string art and then I see this beautiful creation that you have just made in front of us all and I am very scared but can't wait to try for myself. Wow but I am wondering if the fact that I have arthritis in my fingers will be a problem, my dad use to do string art when I was a child and it brings back great memories for me. Great video and you have a new follower just wish I could purchase one of your works of art just to make my life easier Lol. Hello from Ireland. 🍀😀👋
Hice uno por primera vez, se parece mucho a este diseño pero con más color. Me ampolle un dedo y se me hace extraño siendo que soy carpintero y nunca me salen ampollas. Voy por el segundo cuadro espero hacerlo con más calma.salu2
what about a realistic portrait with a string? I am completely new to string art so I want to know the starting process in detail as I can't find any tutorial on youtube.
How many separate layers are there? I want to do it with different colors but want to know how many different colors I should get to achieve the same pattern.
beautiful work.... I started doing simple ones when I was 12.... and the idea to restart making them is really exciting, because the patterns are amazing! Your profile image not that much...
Amazing how some string, nails, wood, and a lot of patience can make such an awesome piece of art. Great work thank you for sharing the process.

This is fantastic. You have done so well with this. It's a very beautiful and complex pattern.
What's cool is that we can all do this, we just need some training and put the effort into it.
Stunning!
Mind blowing
This is old as an artform. I was doing this back at school in the 60s. Next there will be a resurgence of Spirograph art.

You should make these out of copper wire and hook them up to an amp!
Is that actually a thing?
@@Stillfastasf They are electrical coils. Look up Tesla bifilar coil!
@@Stillfastasf Or look up David Sareda.
Awesome
How much do the nails look out of the board?❤👌
É muito lindo o seu trabalho. Parabéns
Thanks 4 great job 👍
Which kind of thread you have used. Plz tell
How do you secure the ends of the string? And if you needed to attach one spool to the completion of another, where do you hide the knots?
I just tie the thread to the nail and then the knot is not visible behind the hat. I tie the beginning of the next skein of thread to this nail.
Thank you

What colors were used? Are they 3 layers?
4 layers. The colors, in order from bottom to top are:
Light purple
White
Dark purple
White
How many separate layers are there? I want to do it with different colors but want to know how many different colors I should get to achieve the same pattern.
You need 3 colours
Sweet. Thanks! I'm going to do it on a panel for the center of my new builtins. I'd send a pic if I could leave one in the comments.
