This is my favorite Sega Mega CD Boot Up screen from Japan. Never knew that the Mega CD first appeared in 1991. And the music is beautiful too. Though I am a fan of the American Boot Up Screen themes more, this theme is unbeatable. This theme sounds like something to be used for a Sonic movie. Sonic CD was my favorite game on the CD/Mega CD. The problem I had with it was that it was too easy. Still a kickass game next to Sonic 1 on the Genesis. I MISS THE SEGA CD!!!!
@@segaunited3855 speaks the truth! Originally, Project Earth was gonna run on LaserDisc, but were afraid of the cost, which is why they downgraded to CD instead.
@@NicholasManuelofMississippi Correct! Sega Earth was originally a Laser Disc planned add on for Mega Drive with Pioneer that evolved into Mega CD with JVC.
@miiwii93 No, it's like a soundtrack from a movie and it's all slo-mo and if you win this, you'll win the championship, and THEN it sounds like the final throw.
While the lucky Japanese get to play cool CD-ROM games like Policenauts, we were cursed with shit games such as Night Trap & those "Make My Music Video" games...ugh!
If you guys only knew how FUCKING HARD was to use the Scale/Rotation chip... You don't tell the thing how to rotate it or scale it, you instead give it a point from where to start 'picking pixels' from the picture to be scaled and how often it should pick them, thus making a new image. Plus it was slow, so not very worth it, still, interesting.

When the pearly gates of heaven open, this is the music that plays.
The BIOS animation for the JVC/Sega X'Eye/WonderMega uses the same music as the model 1 BIOS of the Japanese and European Mega CD.

Back in the day we use to! LOL I Still think of playing a game when I hear this music as it was pretty much always used for CD's when I had it!

My favorite BIOS!
After Burner+Back to the Future
This intro is way better than the Sega CD version.
Also, the Mega CD EU was Mega CD 2 from Japan.

The BIOS music on the American version was great, but in my mind, I like this one better. Feels like something from the beginning of an anime.
I know that. I actually saw them both, and JVC'S X-Eye, too.
it sounds like music playing during the final winning pass of a football game, lol.
this sounds partially similar to the master system one as well as the wondermage or x-eye
I can't believe that this BIOS is a new theme for the New Nintendo 3ds!
I realy hope that that theme comes to us Westerners
Wesley Harrison Where's your proof?
A Nintendann Video
Sadly, this wonderful boot music will remain in Japan for their Nintendo 3DS systems.
True, even if it is just the logo moving/streaching/zooming/etc. around. =P
One of the best bios ever. Reminds me a lot of the keyboard section in the song "Step Out Of Hell" by Helloween.
"スタートボタンを押して下さい" - "Stato butan o oshite kudasai."
Is beautiful theme SEGA MEGA-CD
That's what they get for not giving us Policenauts!!!

24 hour loop of this heavenly music please!
I want to see sonic victory dancing to this music.
Not only that, I like the music.

One day, the gods will catch the Mega CD.
Yeah. The US-spec BIOS looks seizure-ish compared to this.
D:!!!!!!!!! Screen size 16:9 ?!?!?! I didn't notice that! I always played Genesis with 4:3!!!
The Mega CD logo from Japan was the best IMO. Same as the original Green and Red Mega Drive logo beat the crappy, tacky Western one.
My european Mega CD II had the same music, but different animation. Loved it :)
