    These small stream videos you do, they are my favorite among the lot. I learn plenty, and your skill at capturing the action and cinegraphic editing are top notch.
    And for sure, those are some mega dace.
    Thanks as always, and cheers!

    I discovered a nice little river somewhat close to where I live. The river is mostly less than 2 yards wide and 1-3 feet deep, and is absolutely chock full of Brook Char and wild Brown Trout. First trip I went there I decided to Free-line some worms and in among the 1/2 pound trouts and chars I got a wild Brownie at 3.4 pounds! Never thought such a little river could hold such a nice fish. GL in your future fishing and let's all hope for a great season!

    Hello TA fishing im thirteen and love your videos however as i am still young i cant go beach fishing without an adult and so i am forced to pier fish and i was wondering if you could upload a few more vids for inexperienced or young anglers like me that have to pier fish. Thanks and keep up the good work!

    I fish a fast current river with a rocky bottom. When I first started river finding I would try and "fight the river." Well the river always wins. I lost (and still lose) a lot of gear with not much fish to show for it. I love this float technique because it lets the current take your bait and present it naturally down stream. We often associate float fishing as a stagnant presentation but with a swift river current it turns into an active presentation. I have had good results with this float and current method. Always remember, don't fight the river. Great video as always!

    This is the best video I've seen you do so far. I'm looking to arm myself with an Avon rod and centre pin reel for the new season and do some trotting on the River Derwent in Gateshead. Brownies and chub, I reckon. No barbel, though, unfortunately.

    Hi Graham and Tony. Love your show. Could you use floaters or bobbers off a rock wall for sea fishing? I get lots of snags on bottom rocks and lose a fair bit of tackle that way. Thanks guys and keep show going! Why you don't have your own tv show is beyond me.

    Many thanks for post this. Enjoyable to watch and listen. Good to hear about the technique from an angler who is not trying to sell me something. Match rod for £1! Some people have all the luck.

    Great video. It is a shame that more anglers don't take the time to develop the skill of fishing with a stick float, it is a top method for catching barbel as well as smaller river species.

    usually using casters stops you getting pestered by minnows.seem to get slightly better fish on caster,minnows can be a pain in the arse.

    Do you ever use fish scales in your ground bait?

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  6 років тому +1

      No,never heard of that,but obviously mash up whole fish when sea fishing so plenty of scales in it then.

    Amazes me how people handle and tie those tiny hooks. Why are the floats that shape? Why won't any shape work?

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  9 років тому +2

      David Harvey Float must give as little resistance to a taking fish as possible otherwise they feel the pull and spit the bait.Long thin floats are therefore more sensitive than short wide ones.

    • @davidharvey5672

      TAFishing oh I see, hence the need to watch it so closely so you can set the hook. Thanks.

    Hello. I often watch your videos because I want to catch fish like you catch. How long are you on the bank for.. I spent two Oe three hours and catch nothing. Worm, maggots, bread, Sweetcorn. Nothing. What an I doing wrong. I fish mainly the Ouzel in Milton Keynes. It’s a very very weed clogged river and I loose a lot of tackle

    • @TAFishing
      @TAFishing  Рік тому

      Could be where you are fishing. Sounds like you need to try a different river. Try asking your local tackle shop of places(rivers) that might be worth trying.

      @@TAFishing Hello and thanks for the reply. I think you are correct in that I should go else where. Yesterday I tried the Ouse in MK, caught two small Perch on worm. There is a small lake where the fish give themselves up but I like the Ouzel because it’s a nice looking but tiny river and it’s local to me, I keep telling my wife “That’s it, never going on the Ouzel at Caldecott again, bloody useless”.

    why must you torment us Graeme??
    Showing us these types of videos out of season just makes me sit here with itchy feet wanting to get out my waders and center pin and attack the local driver. This is one of my favorite methods of fishing as I show in my last video The race for Roach.
    Great vid as always
