i think hellfire by the mechanisms might have similar vibes! it's a concept album so some lines might not make sense without the context of the rest of the album (which you should also listen to btw it fucks severely) but i think it's still good out of context
To me this song feels like it's about being suicidal. For me, lines like "I could use this vessel as a sacrificial lamb...and escape in a checkmate" sounds like someone sacrificing their life to get out of a bad situation by any means necessary, even if that means is death. They become so disillusioned with everything around them, the way things "just are," that they want to take other people with them to freedom, thinking it's better that people die than suffer at the cruel hands of life. The religious theming feels like it ties in to a martyr complex--if I die, things will be better for everyone around me. It could also be linked to the idea of "things will be better in the afterlife." Other things like "secrets hidden underneath our tattered arms" call to mind images of self harm. Or maybe that's just me talking from a dark place and hearing things I can relate to personally. Anyways the song is beautiful, big fan of your work.
That’s what I thought as well, especially with the lines about telling the truth resulting in being ‘eaten alive’ could be related to the misconceptions, prejudice, and abuse towards people with suicidal thoughts

For some reason, I think that this song is about a character knowing that is inside a videogame, with Abraham being one game character and God being the game's creator, and the character knows that if she tell the others the truth she might be eliminated from the game because the creator wants it to be a normal game, also, I don't know what does "I know I'll never die" means but ok
Going by your theory maybe the "I know I'll never die" line comes from even if she's killed somehow (shot by the player, killed in the cutscene, fall off a cliff, etc) she'll just respawn back as if nothing happened.
This song is so good like wow you've put out nothing but bangers recently But when it mentioned "the blade of abraham" at first I thought it ment Abraham Lincoln 😭😭
I believe they mean the Abraham from the Bible, and “the blade of Abraham” might mean the blade Abraham was going to use to sacrifice his son to God before God stopped him.
I dont have anything funny to say honestly I just love this song so much. Everyone working on it did such a good job!!! There aren't a lot of songs that manage to give me chills but this song blows me away every time
The part when she says, "If I take the blade of Abraham, I can use this vessel as a sacrificial lamb." Means she is gonna sacrifice herself to a higher being to become whole or immortal.

ayo quick theory bit Vane- near the end of the song (2:51), is "holy sky" meant to be like trauma of any kind? Like, humans/mortals are locked out of heaven and cant go there (until they die ig), right? that parallels to someone being locked out of their traumatic memories/unable to access them unless they "open up the walls"! ALSO ALSO- by having their head being "bugged", is that the prosecutor conditioning the victim to not be able to "tell the world the truth"??????? AnYWAy---byebye

great music as always! the art and video are also so cool, love the character's expressions and the way the staring one flashes near the end. another one to keep coming back to!
I kinda relate to this because a from couple years ago to about a month ago I had this ongoing delusion that if I died at a certain time using a certain method I would basically become god and I really wanted to tell people about it but I didn't because I was afraid they would think I was crazy (I was)
I KNEW THE ONE LINE IN DIGITAL/PHYSICAL HEART WAS. A HINT!! (I think I'll write a song to post on the 21st) and I recognized the background video style🤭🤭FRIEND
My partner and I are both eldest children who grew up carrying the early-parent loads with our siblings. We want multiple children, but we agreed we'd never put childcare on the eldest & middle unless they directly ask to help. I hate when people are like "You're the oldest, you're responsible for when your siblings do something wrong." Because it puts so much pressure on the oldest and encourages the younger kids to act out because they don't get the blame for it. I'm only 3 years older than my sister, and 5 years older than my brother; But I remember a time in high school where if my siblings didn’t eat when they were supposed to, I was the one in trouble. I had to make sure they ate at lunch and dinner because they'd stick themselves to their tablets and forget to eat. And it wasn't like they were babies or disabled and needed support, they were 10 and 12 and knew how to make food for themselves perfectly well. But if they didn’t eat, I was in trouble. If they didn't get schoolwork done, I was in trouble. If they didn't go to bed on time, I was in trouble. And I had these responsibilities since I was younger than them, for both them and myself. My partner's case is slightly different, because their brothers are 9 and 11 years younger than them. They also have severe learning disabilities due to genetic issues, so neither of them are likely to ever be able to live independently. But my partner's mother puts a lot of expectations on them to maintain the house and chores and clean nearly everything 24/7 because of how held up she is with the boys. And my partner, despite being 17, has been withheld from getting a drivers permit or a job because their mom wants to keep them dependent on her so they stay and help with their brothers. We are depserate to avoid this with our kids, because we want them to experience childhood at its fullest. Yes, there are some base responsibilities and certain ages, but if I shouldn't be a parent until I'm fully grown then you shouldn't be either. So we want all of them to care for each other, and we want to establish a mutual feeling of care and responsibility rather than putting that just on the eldest. If we need to step away from a kid for a moment, instead of "Eldest, watch youngest please" 24/7 we'd switch it up. It'd be silly, putting the baby with the eldest and being like "Youngest, keep an eye on eldest for a moment", but we feel it'd keep the responsibility load from being overbearing and establish a mutual bond of caring for each other rather than one expecting the other to care for them. That's for the parent's only.

I see the way things are,
the way our names lack certain charm,
the way our faces still alarm,
the secrets written underneath our tattered arms,
the ceiling's closing in,
my mind is dyed in eosin,
and counting now the many sins
that place the shame
to pray for reign before his grin
They've played us all for fools,
for in their everlasting rule,
faux death is but a dirty tool
to hide the right of night
disguised as cyclic moons
I'll face it all alone
'cus no one else could ever know
divinity and indigo
expose the rose
to freely interpose
If I take the blade of Abraham,
I could use this vessel as a sacrificial lamb
I'll awake my fate to calculate
and escape
and escape
and escape
(in a checkmate)
This world is decorated by the hands of lies
If I open up the walls to show the astral sea, then would that be alright?
If I break this body into bits, I'll never die
I'll bring the ones I love to my eternity and demythologize my lines
Ultimate truth
is shrouded
from our
very sight,
so what could be
the reason behind
every chance at a
god given right? (Right...)
I know...
this story's
a neverending shine,
so what could be
the reason behind
why my blood turned to wine?
If I take the blade of Abraham,
I could use this vessel as a sacrificial lamb
I'll awake my fate to calculate
and escape
and escape
and escape
(in a checkmate)
This world is decorated by the hands of lies
If I open up the walls to show the astral sea, then would that be alright?
If I break this body into bits, I'll never die
I'll bring the ones I love to my eternity and demythologize my lines
I'm scared
my fear's locking up
the holy sky
If I told the world
the truth of this reality,
I'd be eaten alive
My head's been bugged,
and no matter how I try,
I'll never get a chance
to reach
eternity
or even say goodbye
This world is decorated by the hands of lies
If I open up the walls to show the astral sea, then would that be alright?
If I break this body into bits, I'll never die
I'll bring the ones I love to my eternity and demythologize my lines
(Ah~)
To keep us safe,
I'll make us break
for our eternal wake
I know I'll never die
I know I'll never die

It'd be silly, putting the baby with the eldest and being like "Youngest, keep an eye on eldest for a moment", but we feel it'd keep the responsibility load from being overbearing and establish a mutual bond of caring for each other rather than one expecting the other to care for them. That's for the parent's only.
