Rangapura Vihara - Amazing performance by Vishnudev Namboothiri

An ancient temple about 800 years old, in a serene location filled with energy, highly talented and well established musicians come to soak themselves in the spirituality of the place by singing to God. The audience were only a witness the magic that unfolded. This was an amazing performance that truly represented the spirit of Indian classical music. We are thankful to the artist for allowing us to record and share this wonderful music.

Hi Anagha Ratheesh. The composer, Sri Mutthuswamy Dikshitar, wrote this kriti and Balagopala (Bhairavi raga), and Chetah Shree Balakrishnam (Dwijavanthi raga), and a few other kritis to be sung in Chowka kaala (slow tempo) only. He had explicitly said so. Sri Namboothiri has sung this kriti at the proper speed.
