I am a BAMS student. My humble request to NEET aspirants is that join any course only after proper analysis of situations. BAMS is totally a sanskrit based course and here you have to mug up hundreds of sanskrit shlokas in different subjects like Samhitha, Kriya Shareera, Rachana Shareera etc, etc. Many join this course Without understanding above facts and struggle later. So if you are interested in Sanskrit and to mug up slokas during all the course period then only join BAMS. Otherwise join English based medical courses like BVSc, BHMS, BDS etc( equal to or more Scope than BAMS) Unless you get a MBBS seat....

BA MS medical officer exam is conducted by state public service Commission.. Each year no exam. Psc calls for depending on vaccancies in Ayurveda department etc....... Rank list is published and candidates are alloted from the Rank list. In Kerala the rank list is generally valid for 3 years. After the expiry of rank list PSC will call for applications again. The upper age limit for psc exams in Kerala is 40 for this category. I don't know the process in other states. Please search in NET

I’m seeing BAMS students claiming that they study both allopathy and ayurveda in BAMS, so they’re eligible for prescribing allopathic medicines apparently. But they simultaneously claim ayurveda is better than allopathy.
I mean why do they want to prescribe modern medicine, or why are they even talking about learning it. If ayurveda is superior?
I think you will not get answer to your question from any ayurvedic student!!

@@shraddhasahu9011 nahi nahi me ye bolraha hu ki Ayurveda has its own place. That system shouldn’t be destroyed. And Ayurveda grads are claiming their system is superior to allopathy when in fact neither systems are superior.
If they really want Ayurveda to survive then why are they focusing on allopathy in MBBS too? I’ve seen BAMS students say this with pride ‘we learn both allopathy and Ayurveda in BAMS’ when MBBS students learn just allopathy. But that just shows inadequacy of one system, nothing to be proud of. And also some they are prescribing allopathic medicines and even defending themselves saying they learnt allopathy too.
I mean then whats the role of Ayurveda if you are gonna prescribe allopathic medicine anyways. That too when even MBBS folks aren’t confident enough of their skills after MBBS. How would BAMS folks be confident when they just did 50-50 of both? 5 years isn’t enough to go in depth of either allopathy or Ayurveda. Imagine both!
