After Miss Teen USA stepped down, the runner-up says she doesn’t want the crown either

- After Miss Teen USA, UmaSofia Srivastava, stepped down last week, the runner-up - Miss Teen New York, Stephanie Skinner - told The Post that she doesn’t want the crown either. NY Post reporter Jeanette Settembre shares this story.
“I ultimately came to the decision to decline it,” Skinner, 19 and from New Hartford, New York, said. “I didn’t feel like it was the right decision considering all the circumstances.”
Over the past week both Srivastava, 17, and Miss USA, 24-year-old Noelia Voigt, abdicated their titles, while Miss USA Organization social media manager Claudia Michelle also resigned from her post. Sources told The Post that the women had been “bullied” by the organization’s CEO, Laylah Rose.

Stephanie Skinner saved herself there, well done queen 🙌🏻 She will achieve more outside the crown because of how incompetent and inexperienced the current management is. After seeing UmaSofia attending way more events in the last couple weeks after resigning, than the last 8 months when she was under the organization’s management, we know the girls are better off without that crown/title. Also props to Stephanie for standing in solidarity with Noelia and UmaSofia. What will it take for the current owner, Laylah Rose Loiczly, to be ousted from her position?

New York Post, please interview Rosanne Plante! She’s a lawyer that went over the 25 page Miss USA contract and called it predatory. Not even reality TV shows muzzle their contestants to the extent the new Miss USA org does. She has so much insight, please interview her

It’s a competition, not a get together. Hawaii should have said “if you want to use your victory and platform to virtue signal, happily take the crown”.
Ms. Hawaii looks dumb for taking the crown because she was 3rd in line. Even if there was no controversy, I'd never accept an award where I wasn't the first choice. How embarrassing 🤡
