Strangely enough, and much as i love this song, I don't get the feeling this particular live version ever really takes off. Completely involved as Cobham is - and George, too, at the beginning - Alphonso's solo never really happens, while Scofield's feels weirdly detached. Go listen to the album version to hear the song really take off!
What's the synth to Dukes LH which he uses for strings here and there throughout the concert please ? It sounds like an ARP but he already has one on his Rhodes ?
Lazy filmaking. C'mon, man. Sure, it was 1976, but how hard is it to synch the images and sound when you edit? Michael Wadleigh did it in the Woodstock movie in 1970.
Guitar solo is so outher world , seen it hundred times , chills ...😊
Billy Cobham, George Duke, John Scofield, Alphonso Johnson! Now THIS is an all star lineup!! Awesome Band!!
One of my all time favorite lineups...check out the Montreux Summit 77 album btw, especially Blues March
This is one of the most funkiest tune ever ...love that clavinet intro
Performed by the Late Great George Duke
It's a crime that this only has 27k views!
The Best of the Best! George Duke would put together some of finest funk masters the music industry has ever known. George will be greatly missed.
when I was a kid we had a steady stream of exceptional music like this. This kind of thing made the bar very high for me as an adult .
It can make going on difficult
damn Duke gonna miss ya. RIP

George plays clavinet moog arp.fender rhodes
ARP ODYESSEY OR ARP OMNI?
Does anybody knows what keyboard mixing console is George Duke using?, with two Roland Space Eco's on it... 12ch with stereo Eq's...
Why is there a MiniMoog behind BC ? Or was it pushed to one side (if there was a support band on before) ?

it would be a nice piece shame that the drum section doesn't hear ...
What do you mean?
@@magn8195 im with the cellphone and so the drum section i cannot appreciate it and that's a shame because Billy Cobham is a great drummer, that's all
audio not in sync with video...
Times when artificial intelligence did not play the instruments.
