  • 🎛️ Step 2: Basic Structure, or how to spend hours shaping chaos. 🎶
After playing around with harmonies, synthesizers, and beats (which I tested in the previous post), it's time for something that doesn't show up in perfect posts: live practice. This is all about trial and error-adjusting, moving things around, trying again-until it starts to make sense.
👉 What do I do now? I take what I’ve got (that mix of scattered sounds and ideas) and start giving it form. What was once controlled chaos is now turning into a basic structure. How? Live: I add, remove, cut, paste, adjust the energy, feel the rhythm, and look for how everything connects. It's like building a puzzle where you don’t know how it’s going to look until it’s almost done.
🎧 This isn’t fast. Sometimes I spend hours just searching for that moment when a breakdown fits with a build-up, or when the percussion groove hits the body just right. But that’s part of the process. It’s patience. It’s playing and re-playing.
This is creative mess in action. There’s no magic formula, just practice, repetition, and the confidence that what you’re doing is worth it.
👊🏼 See you in the next step: Recording Drums.
