Hey there, welcome back to Con’s weekly episode 3! Wondering why I've been MIA for 2 weeks? Well, I had a final test, so no uploads. But hey, I'm back now! So, let’s spice things up with a devlog on a project dating back to December last year!
But why this project, you may ask? Well, buckle up, because we're diving into the nitty-gritty of Discord Devlog!
Without further ado, let’s dive into Con’s weekly Episode 3, Devlog Ep. 1!
So, the bot I'm talking about is named “Patch”, inspired by video game patches. It's an economy bot, like Dank Memer, with 8 commands divided into 3 categories: Shop, Profile, and Job.
Starting with the job category, it contains 3 commands: “dropout”, “apply”, and “work”.
The apply command lets you apply for a job. If the job exists, it applies it to you. Some jobs may require items.
The dropout command drops you out of your current job if you have one.
The work command earns you money based on your job rank.
Moving to the profile category, we have the balance command, showing your information and a leveling system where every chat adds your XP by 1.
Lastly, the shop category has 4 commands: “shop”, “buy”, “trash”, and “inventory”.
The shop command shows all items available, with a normal shop and a Buffer shop, accessible only with the Lantern of Chroma.
The buy command purchases items. If you lack credits or the item isn't available, you're notified.
The inventory command displays your items, with stacking yet to be implemented.
The trash command removes items from your inventory.
