  • The need for speed! Actually I wanted to put on my suit for high speed runs, but remembered I need to work on control stops at speed.
Beyond stoked that I could do 22 mph/35 kph Coleman slides and so much fun.

Thanks you. Having so much fun practicing and learning skills slowly is the byproduct.

That heelside looking really good now 🤙 more speed and look straight to where you are going.

Thank you. Getting some consistency on both boards and working on aiming back downhill.

Good job! I can hear how happy you are. Reminds me my 1st slides.
Keep working your body pisitiob. Next step may be to work on your tuck position it'll help you get your weight at the right spot. It is not only usefull to gain speed. It is the same positiob while turning toeside.
I appreciate much you share all this!
Go go go and skate safe! ❤

Thank you. Excitement definitely is the key continue. Yes, body position: realizing that I need to stretch both front & back of legs to increase mobility as well as IT band. Thanks for reminder on tuck-haven’t done in awhile and that is so hard when done right. Always remind me of being compressed/squished in wrestling/jiu-jitsu. I have a good moderate road for it.

Looks like you had a ton of fun! And your Colemans are starting to pendy themselves back on their own too.
With this much speed, I think all you need to do now is to just turn your face midslide and look downhill after the first half of the slide. Doing just that should already make the pendy motion complete itself.

Yes all great fun. Understanding the speed effect now and will be focusing on face downhill midslide. Mentally also trying to gauge my hand down distance from the board, solid squat more on the board, and lowering right shoulder.

@@cantskate5535 Yup, I remember I like to cheat with the pendy motion by actually doing a horizontal karate chop with my right hand (I am regular footed) to kinda force myself to not only look downhill but also aid the pendy's spin as well. The karate chop is not a required motion for a complete pendy, but it can be done.

Sick, you have enough speed now to bring the board back under you for full Coleman slides. Try and bring it back around and roll away

Thanks. Believe l’m finally understanding the right amount of speed (approximately 20+ mph) will do the trick.
