It's easier to play than a Regular Acoustic Saz because (very akin to an Electric Guitar being easier to play than its Acoustic Counterpart) because the strings are closer to the frets. It also has a much mellower sound than its Acoustic Counterpart because the Humbucker Pickups are cutting out some of the higher overtones.
does anyone know why he only has one string in the middle? i am looking to buy a saz and start learning but the one that i am looking at only has 4 strings on it
Hi, maybe someone knows: Does an electric Saz/Baglama work the same way as an electric guitar? So, could I use the same effect pedals? Especially thinking about "Metal"-type of stuff like fat distortion and reverb and fuzz and so on? Or are there limits? And can an eSaz also be used as accoustic? Does it have a hollow body and souds okay without an amp?
It works with all effects and stuff, but you have to eq it different. you can’t play it acoustic - you need a piezo under the lower bridge and a second output for that. I have a saz like that
@@3005-r4n Thanks for the reply! My Saz does also have a little piezzo thingy inside, but it sounded thin and effect pedals did not work well. A few weeks back I bought an "preamp/eq pedal for acoustics" and it makes it a lot better! Still some distortion effects are completely muddy and the pickup picks up EVERYTHİNG including when İ move the instrument on my Leg 😅 Anyway I want to replace my Saz with one that is more pretty (yes this is valid reason...) and I'm looking for one with the brigde pickup + inbuild preamp (or I pay the shop to mod it). I hope this kind of pickup will be less noisy. Just need to find a PRETTY one... Since one cannot use ESaz as accoustic it is not an option for me, sadly. Also they are expensive and I prefer cheap instruments, so I can carry it around without fear.
All electric instruments should work with all pedals. As long as it uses the same cables, it'll work. Can't speak to how good fuzz will sound on it though
The electromagnetic string pickup was Prometheus' gift of fire to players of plucked string instruments. :)
