I also feel like they've matured. There's something about this that feels different and I don't know what it is, even with 'God's Menu', it's like we've witnessed a shift. I like their previous releases, but there is something about this that hits different. I absolutely love this.

This whole comeback is a level up in every aspect. They're performing like they've been at it for a decade despite only debuting a couple years ago, the energy is insane. And I love how they take risks with their music, its always something different. Bless them

You say Hyunjin owned that video but to me it was Seungmin. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him. He looked AMAZING. I loved that he got more dance focus; his visual popped (those leopard print pants! that dark hair!); and he sounded so good (per usual). This was a hell of a comeback. I can't wait to see you react to the new songs!

@@SafeCave Minho is my main bias wrecker, and going into this comeback I was guessing this was going to be his era. But here comes underrated Seungmin punching us all in the face with those visual. He's definitely a quiet bias wrecker for sure!

I think that throughout 2018-2019 they produced music for the sake of telling a narrative, especially during the I AM series, and that time was filled with like a “who am i?? what am i supposed to be doing??” and with the end of the Clé series, they finally found themselves, and at least for now, they are finally confident and sure of themselves and what they want to do?? Which i think supports the idea that they really grew up, honestly every comeback of theirs has always been a step up from the last and i always love seeing them grow

I feel the need to articulate. To put my impressions of their releases into words; the music they put out as rookies was often highly aggressive. They we’re hungry, thirsty for recognition. I’d say that whole “concept” if you will, was their whole brand. This release however, while still maintaining that brand, felt more mature. And by mature I mean grown, not the asinine misconception of conforming to this so often stale idea of what being an adult is. They exude a mature confidence of an artist who understands what makes them special, one who doesn’t feel the need to overcompensate - I’m sorry baby SK, love you. Basically they feel less like shounen protagonists, and more like seinen protagonists. You weebs know what I’m talking about. I feel like a big part of this maturity makes them more comfortable, and subsequently gives them more freedom; to explore new musical genres and techniques. I often see a lot of groups look as if they can’t fully express themselves in the musical style they’ve been trapped in (fuck you kpop agencies and your stubborn genre conventions, trends are more than just waves, innovate!). In my opinion, a sign of a good artist is in their ability to clearly express themselves. Versatility is more than just music genres, it’s also in how to convey different concepts within them. You can be sassy and aggressive in a brighter track, you can be positive and peppy in a dark tracks, and everything in between. What I feel when I saw this MV was Stray Kids breaking out of these chains. They’ve learned to exude that SK aura in a newer, cleaner and most importantly, more free way. The smooth chords and funky bass compliments this. The musical choices speak volumes, opting for this instead of what I feel was often an over-reliance on 808’s and triplet percussion. They feel suave and grown. They’ve got that SK aggression, and now they’re utilising it in a way that impresses me more - it’s less for themselves and more for the music.
I feel like I vented some there. I feel better now. I love this release, I’m so happy for them. My thoughts on the industry definitely seeped through my reasoning but I think it was justified. I myself have “matured” in my own kpop journey. I’d kick my past self for relying so heavily on groups’ concepts to determine how much I liked them. It’s so easy to lock myself in a “I only like this, this, and this genre” kind of a mindset, and so quickly disregard the rest. I’d like to think I’m a little less biased now, and a bit more open minded. There’s a whole new way of enjoying music when I’m not judging things solely on concepts/genres. Music is music, and good music is good. I never thought as I’d grow up, I’d be listening more to cuter girl groups, and less to underground hip-hop as younger me did. Ironically, regardless of how dark or bright the music, the thing that makes them compelling is the extent of how brave the artists are willing to be. I used to measure it by how sexy or badass the artist was, when in reality it’s the equal confidence in both themselves and their music. If an artist loves what they’re doing, I tend to love it too - which is something I so often see is dictated and influenced by trends and convention, instead of the integral and genuine love for it I want to see. It’s an understanding of why they love what they love. There’s a maturity in that, and it’s twice as impressive when they’re utlising it to make fascinating music. This release made me feel a certain way. Stray Kids, ya’ll are awesome. It’s a bit idealistic but it’s what makes good music, good music. My fingers hurt now. Stray Kids, fighting!

I dont know if anyone has said it but if you watch the ending of "Gods Menu" you should read the red and white sign as they walk out... talk about foreshadowing. Oh and in this MV and in Gods Menu JYPs new Japanese GG NIZIU makes a cameo which must of made the girls really happy because they love Stray Kids and Twice alot. Proud that these guys are doing so well, look forward to more.

Yayyy! I was waiting for you to react to them! I honestly has zero knowledge in 2gen kpop, the earliest I got is 2010, with INFINITE and Block B, they were my first groups AND Chan's hairstyle really matches BlockB style (specially between very Good or Nillili Mambo, but Block B has this... special style in general, I've been stanning them for years and still can't describe them)
I'm in love with Back Door, and I prefer this more than God's menu bc of an actually really simple reason: It reminds me to 80s HipHop, the start and ending of the song, reminds me a lot of to that style and I LOVE it. (I must say that my knowledge of 80s HipHop is not much tho)
IN Life it's a repackage! It has four NEW tracks: The tortoise and the Hare (I'm obsessed with this one), Any, B Me (heard someone say it gave them 2 gen vibes) and my favorite, Ex (I like sentimental and sad songs, I'm guilty of those charges ;; ). It has other three tracks: Wow, We go and My Universe, these songs were released officially now, but were part of the tracklist? (Idk if that's the term) of their tour, so fans knew them. The rest of the songs were part of GO Live.
I must say, the production team of the video did an excellent job: if the comeback doesn't enter through your ears, it does through your eyes, which it's a pretty smart move in my opinion jdjfkd
Hyunjin stole the spotlight with that style, the outfit, make up, hairstyle, everything. Felix had the killing part too! He said everyone had a killing part but he definitely has the song's most memorable one, and I'm not mad at all.
Also, I love Jeongin's lines, his voice is so interesting to me that I'm always looking forward which lines he'll have, and I'm not disappointed.
I must admit, that I was hoping Minho to have more lines since Go Live, but he definitely has more in the other tracks so it's okay! Since they produce the songs, I guess that they took the decision when choosing who has which lines, so I won't think much about.
The choreography it's really something else, I can't wait to see their stages! In fact, since Oneus is still promoting TBONTB and Namjoo is promoting Bird, I will have a good time in the shows for sure, also The Boyz is having a comeback, and I don't stan them but I love those guys, so it'll be fun!
    Thank you again for sharing your reactions with us! It means a lot❤️😭 I hope you have a nice day/ night! I hope this comment is not too long but I can't check before posting ;;
I will look forward to your next reaction!
PS. The start of the video reminds me of Seventeen's Clap video somehow

I feel ya! I also had to watch it twice, cause there's so much going on in this video I couldn't catch up with all the things. I think you're right on that they've grown up. Not only as members but also musically I guess. The vibe they're giving now? So much confidence with what they're doing and I love it! It's kinda like they've finally find their place in this. I'm madly in love with this song. I really, really hope they'll win with this cause yeah they were working so hard for this. I didn't think it would be possible to love them more than I do now, but yeah.. It's Stray Kids after all.
Thank you for your reaction. Just wanna say I really, really like your voice :)
    Warm greeting from Poland!
P.S Yep It's repackage album, but we've got almost 8 "new" songs. Well at least 4 of them are completely new (Back Door, B Me, Any. EX)
The Tortoise and the Hare is a full version of GO LIVE (1st track in full album). We've also got 3 unit songs: We Go (3Racha), WOW (Minho/Hyunjin/Felix) and My Universe (Seungmin/IN feat. Changbin)

Felix in that mullet looks super great, and hyunjin when he has the blond hair reminds me of a musketeer XD think is because the shirt XD
Everytime I'm like, man, this kids are great and fierce I immediately remember the video with their english debate XD XD XD and I'm like nah, still crack heads XD
Also I feel like a proud mom 😭😭😭 well i feel like a proud mom for a lot of groups XD

I have been OBSESSED also since about 4 days ago when my 30yr old son recommended this group. I love them. Not so much their beginning but I think they just matured and grown over the last few years and now a force to be reckoned with. I love the entire band, they interact so well as a group but of course my favorite is the sultry Felix with his deep voice and cute smile followed up by Han and Hyunjin, and the rest as well. To me this song had a different meaning almost like heavenly vibe and life to enjoy. The slower melody with Seungmin was more like the photo with the angels reach out touching. Love it and thank you for your insight and reaction.

Am I the only one that got absolutely bias wrecked by Seungmin? Geez. Full black hair makes his facials stand out a lot more. A platinum blonde Felix is deadly. The beginning and end where he asked “Hey, you wanna come in?” Also happy birthday to him as well. Blue haired baby Jeongin. Our baby sounds so pretty. This bridge after Chan says "Lights out" is so hypnotizing. Felix's gray hair, Hyunjin's pink hair and his dancing has me melting, Lee Know's starting us off at the very beginning. He looks so pretty. Changbin has officially my favorite rap voice. He looks absolutely handsome. Happy belated birthday to our colorful haired Han. Lastly, our leaders' red hair. His singing voice is impeccable. He's genuinely so handsome here.

"Who allowed them to all look that good?" - exactly.
This is by far the first comeback where i think they quite balanced it reaaalllyy well this time for me to recognize every single member and not outshine one like the other comebacks.
Also, cold coffee? Yup felt that :D
SKZ do grow now. I kinda get what you mean. And it is a very strange but a good strange kind of feeling.
(random throw in i just love you and your reactions so much so genuine.)
Also 1:39 Seungmin throwed me off guard so much. And this song just makes me wanna really go out of my door and enjoy the "music" that's coming from the other side of it. The lyrics is really something again. Can't wait to see your reaction to the repackage 8 songs ♥
"I got slapped with the second gen vibes" ahahahaha. Yeah. i totally get it now damn you're right :'D
When i first saw that members disappeared at the knocking i thought i was tripping because when i rewatched it, i thought it was at the first chorus already and was then convinced i imagined it and was totally blown away by it when i saw it at the second chorus again :D
Lots of love as always ♥ Stay healthy everyone.

Firstly, cold coffee is better than cold tea at least so you were lucky there. Could you possibly do an album listen then? To the new songs? Also, when I was rewatching I noticed the man from Miroh. They guy who had the fur around his neck. He keeps appearing and turning off the switch which Minho pulled in the beginning, and he appears at the end when the members do that little bit in pairs. He’s in the back. Also, I’m not sure what the hazmat suits and chef outfits represent, but the parts when the backup dancers are in white hoodies and trackies is just like in the dirstrict 9 mv, as well as the prequel video.
