Been watching you guys since the early videos. Great content! I can see where you have developed a smooth narration style and your boating knowledge is very good. Keep it up and good luck!
Great video. Beautiful boat. A few things I would like different, but I imagine most of it is negotiable. Thanks for sacrificing for the greater good! LOL
OK my 20 ft bass boat with a single 150 Merc did 68 mph. An 1800 hp fishing boat with no cabin should do over 100mph one would hope... Or why would it be so expensive? I'd really like to know
Insight is, no boat runs well in that size sea state, anbig diesel sport boat like the Magnum 50… is the way to go . These 4 and 5 outboard designs run the outer engines pretty high on the transom- lotsa cavitation Shit breaks at 4-5’ seas bro, even riding in these heavy battle wagons. 4-5s! Yachts of 150 foot plus stay in the harbor!
You must not own a boat…. These boats are millionaires only! Maintenance, something is always breaking, storage cost if in a yard or marina Is huge, insurance, cleaning is often subbed out to a contractor just like ur pool… Fuel?! Lol, just one of many large numbers boat owners deal with
75 mph out of 1800 hp on the rear is pitiful…….No,you don’t need to be that fast to fish as the grounds aren’t going anywhere. You need to be spacious and comfortable.
Imagine dropping north of 600k in a boat and it having analog smartcraft gauges on it. Beautiful boat though. Unfortunately the 450rs have been plagued with issues
I do this this boat would be more practical with fewer, less powerful engines - less fuel consumption, longer range, and higher reliability. Maybe triple V10 400s. But I don't think that anyone buying a boat like this cares about practicality - rather, showing off is the purpose - so my opinion is pointless.
600k won't even get you started. The analog gauges are backups to the full data stream from the engines to the screens, where you can display anything from the engine computers.
I’d like to hear from The FISHERMEN buying these big cc day boats vs traditional express diesel power customs. I don’t think these big outboards are as bulletproof or only the solution. On 38 to 50’ bigg cc I’d like to see big diesel options like the 41 solace…evidenced by thePersonally I think to have engines spread across the stern is a poor design choice as gearcases and brackets take a beating. I have a 30’ offshore sportboat with a single bbc and imco drive, 2 step hull, 4500 pounds, time spent at wit is less than 5%… My boat is fun to drive, a 2-3’ sea is max comfort zone and is work to throttle/run over 70 in… But I’m not running a 10-25000 pound hull… most people have no idea what 4-5’ seas actually looks like or feels like at any speed or how hard the hits are to the occupants at speeds over 60 in just 2-3… yet u see clueless operators at all levels with way to many passengers , making ignorant decisions
Actually, as a seaman, whether going forward or backward, the vessel turns to port or starboard, only when aircraft are involved is left or right used.
Can’t wait to see her run with the new 500Rs

@centerconsolesonly Can you do a video factory tour of Blackwater boats?
Happiness is Marathon!!! Just far enough from Key West and close enough to the Bridge for Lobster Season!!!
The new Phenoms all go 70 plus mph
My new favourite channel aweaome content man 👍👍

Thanks for watching!
We need more vids like this
good job captain
In the anchor locker, on the right is that a cut out for a spare/stern anchor? Does it have a separate rope compartment from the windlass?
Beast of a boat.
it seems like a Port list under full throttle

nice
what is the efficiency weight to speed ratio ? gph to speed ratio ?
Thought you might actually discuss your title/ question!? Nice boat but was more interested in the question.
Does anyone have any experience with the newer engines that have the props turn instead of the entire engine?
You mean gearcase
@@stevesocransky6341 I mean, either way. The props are literally still turning lol.
i think you are talking about the new mercury 600 verados where only the props turn to steer the boat and the engine stays straight?
She costs Big $$! Can you show us the sleeping cabin next??
good for Northeast in 3-5'?
Any insight on how this boat would run in 4-5ft seas. The water in this video is beautiful but not challenging.

How much does blackwater pay you for this video this is very thorough
Why is there a V8 revving at the beginning of this video? Those are outboards, not stern drives.
I thought the same thing. 100% of their boats tested are outboards.
A nice boat for sure. Who wouldn't be happy owning this boat? Maybe the only time would be when your filling it up with gas to run those quad 450's...

multiple freeman's have been clocked that high, or higher. Nick Stanzyk's done more than that on camera.

Dunno , maybe range is a tiny little factor as well… nope, it’s more important to impress the ignorant
put triple 300 diesels on the back of it
Probably costs more than a house
They all do

@@TheVonMatricesevery boat is a compromise. This boat is a hardcore fishing machine. Fishing space and rough water ride capability are paramount.
@@chiphill4856 Respectfully, I was only talking about the powertrain. 1800hp is not going to get you any bigger fish. It's just to show off.
@@chiphill4856 I said 600 as general term I know its much more. I run a 39YF with quad 450s, soon to be quad 400

at 41 you would think it should have two forward facing row of seating.
I would imagine that’s an option.
@@jameskempienski it should be mandatory @ almost a million dollars!
Yeah let’s pack as many clueless idiots as possible
Just a friendly note: In proper boat handling terminology a vessel going forward turns left and right. In reverse a vessel turns port and starboard.
Actually, as a seaman, whether going forward or backward, the vessel turns to port or starboard, only when aircraft are involved is left or right used.
Blackwater and Fast shouldn't be in the same title lol
Click bait for sure.
