Even with off the rack, you can't just take the first suit. You need to try on everything from many brands as they all have their own cut. In other words, don't shop at men's stores that only have their own house brand, but rather a store that stocks suits from many brands. Don't just look at fit but also at material. Fit will get you out the door of the store, material will still have you looking good in that same suit 5-10 years later.

The logo-free clothes represents a big mental shock for most people who have made money in a short period of time, dragged themselves through misery, and at any cost want to show everyone that they have succeeded and that they need recognition for it.

While tailoring is important, everyone cannot afford a bespoke suite. However there is an alternative. A made to measure suites is a better alternative to an off the rack suite.
You mentioned accessories. What you said is true but people should not wear a replica (fake) watch. This just showed that you are a phony.
A stylish gentleman should always wear natural fabrics…wool, cotton, linen and silk. Stay away from “Performance” suites, which are plastic as well as anything with &Co in their title.
A gentleman needs a signature sent. My favorite is Aqua di Pama, which was favorite of style icons Cary Grant, Gregory Peck and David Niven.
I would add travel to your list. While travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry and narrow mindedness it also opens people up to different cultures and ways of thinking.
