    LOVEBITES - Nameless Warrior lyrics:
This is it, Living under the destiny to fight
My doubts layin' silent in past
Arm myself, I am ready to take the step into enemies
    Will you give it up?

What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen, taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
    This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
    Bringing back memories
    I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
    Nameless warrior
Hide the light that I found in my path
I call it ''faith'' for now
That is all left for me
Shivering, too afraid of the night but I believe myself
This is up to me [!]
The truth and lies are in the mirror
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
    This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
Take my hand, I'll be there and never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
    Nameless warrior
No time for looking in past now
    Fears vanishing into the sky...
    solos
    Broken piece of a soul
    Never heal in the rain
And will there be end to this?
    Flaming up inside of me
    Giving me insanity
The memories fading in my head and now I'm fallin'
What do you feel under the darkness?
I search for light that I have never seen
Stare inside, I know it's somewhere
Taking step the way I believe
Glorious innocence shined by the moonlight
    This is the beginning
They will not see me surrender
    Bringing back memories
    I'll never let it go
Now is the time we'll never forget
    Nameless warrior

Welcome to the world of Lovebites, the band of four phenomenal musicians and an amazing singer. They are indeed genuine and fully put together on their own without any corporation backing them. Sadly their founding member, and leader, Miho the bassist, decided to leave the band in August after the band' first five years and rapid rise to stardom. The band won the 2018 Metal Hammer Golden Gods award for best new band. This video was both a tribute to Miho, as well as a history of the band from beginning to the present with the wolf "running through history" as they showed clips of the band's early days all the way to the present. This video was the last song and video made with their original lineup. Asami, the vocalist, and Miyako the guitarist/keyboard player bothe recently married, as well as Miyako giving birth to a child. So the band is on hiatus currently but has repeatedly said they plan to return. This video hinted at that as well.

I like Babymetal, love Lovebites. Lovebites are the pure play: Five women who are individually jedi-level musicians, write most of their own material, and seem to have a telepathic connection with each other, making their live performances so tight and perfect it seems unreal. RE. tours, they toured with Dragonforce in 2019. Background and links in another comment.

Hey nice introduction to Lovebites. As a fellow Babymetal lover myself, as well as Lovebites, gonna say, as you probably know it, Lovebites, like Babymetal, is best experienced live. They're just awesome too. They're not as big as Babymetal even in Japan, and that's unfortunate, imo they deserve more recognition too.
Asami, the singer, has a wide range, going low as this song start is not that usual actually.
Hope you'll try more songs, live this time, from Lovebites. Some I could recommend are 'Holy War', 'Thunder Vengeance', or 'Set the world on fire'. I don't know what could appeal genre wise to your taste.
Enjoy if you go further. 😉

This musicvideo shows the band in chronically order from the start to this day. The bassplayer has left the band and this is the last song she is playing on. My recommendation: Musicvideos: When Destinies Align (maybe one of the best arranged guitarsolos in the metal history), Glory to the World ( singer and drummer shines in this one and these 2 videos have end subs as well) Winds of Transylvania (theme song for anime Vladlove full throttle style), Live: Holy War, Swansong with Chopin intro, Raise som hell and Set the world on fire.... there You have a start. Stay away from Bloodstock videos.. bad sound on those!

Great reaction. This is not really the best song to start out with Lovebites though, as it benefits from some prior knowledge of the band. They were formed in 2016 by the bassist and the drummer and have been to several huge festivals in Europe. And they seem considerably popular in Japan. You can't go wrong with any of their songs, really.

Welcome to the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their five years of existence as a band, they set a standard that easily puts them on a par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels sent to save us, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. Whatever the description, I think one can say they have given metal a badly needed makeover and maybe a new lease on life. They have themselves said that part of their mission is to save heavy metal from darkness and obscurity. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and soul of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the greatest European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other bands. The whole group then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she also trained in ballet). Miyako has composed most of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics.
They studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance is that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like a demon). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."
They are one of those rare bands that sound perfect live. Here are some you should definitely check out:
Their most recently posted live clips, “Set the World on Fire” ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html and “Don’t Bite the Dust” ua-cam.com/video/oHnKGEj1CMc/v-deo.html, which are both from their recently released concert DVD “Heavy Metal Never Dies”.
"Edge of the World" and "We the United", back to back: ua-cam.com/video/sl0-U-ykJCU/v-deo.html They form an incredible journey from darkness and despair to light and hope.
    Also, “Empty Daydream”, which starts as a ballad and becomes a real rocker: ua-cam.com/video/lXh_uMM94jU/v-deo.html;
    “Holy War”: ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
Miyako is also a professional-level classical concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. If you want to see what she can do on the piano, watch “Swan Song” WITH the prelude, which is Chopin’s “Revolutionary Etude”. Miyako wrote “Swan Song” using elements from several classical pieces including the Etude. This link should work: ua-cam.com/video/WBhtqgiXEA4/v-deo.html; but if it is taken down, you can watch two clips back to back: ua-cam.com/video/hDBjiQI9cyc/v-deo.html and ua-cam.com/video/uEsEWISc8Q0/v-deo.html I promise, it’s worth it.
For a thrasher with heavy Metallica vibes, “Break the Wall” ua-cam.com/video/G021aP2ao6Y/v-deo.html includes two gorgeous and completely contrasting solos by M&M.
For a heart-stopping ballad, “Epilogue” ua-cam.com/video/1ynnXDfEnnY/v-deo.html (this includes a second song, your choice whether or not to react to both)
Finally, while you will sometimes hear you should only react to live clips, actually their MV’s are epic and worth seeing. Here are three of the most spectacular:
    "When Destinies Align" ua-cam.com/video/hLFelI93VkM/v-deo.html
    "Glory to the World" ua-cam.com/video/-wJtD2XEXH4/v-deo.html
    "Winds of Transylvania" ua-cam.com/video/HsE4Ub_Pjh8/v-deo.html.
You'll get lots of suggestions, just one thing: don't bother with Bloodstock footage, the sound quality is poor. Best to take suggestions with actual links. Also, you can’t go wrong with any of their official clips. Welcome to the Wolf-Pack!

Many of (older) metal fans are not on YT and other social media. For example : Iron Maiden has only 2.3M subs, Helloween 350K (nearly 100K less than Band Maid!)
Even I did come rarely on YT before discovering Lovebites. So, subs are an indicator but it is not necessarily representative (even if I'd like Lovebites get more and more subs)

What you said about bands in Japan being molded by big companies is such a big stereotype that has absolutly no basis, bands in Japan are just like bands anywhere else, they are made by musicians getting together and making a band. What you said is like seeing Iron Maiden and saying "Oh bands in the UK are usually made by big producers like One Direction, but Iron maiden seem so genuine" lmfao
Babymetal is not metal band, it is an idol group with a metal gimmick, idol groups are "the" groups that are formed by a producers and are mainly a bunch of dancers/singers (no actual musicians) brough together through auditions, the girls in babymetal are just singing to a metal band not actually doing metal. idol groups is a whole different world from the actual music industry in Japan, it is more of an entertainement genre rather than a musical, it is more of a niche thing in Japan mostly tageting otaku sub culture (geek, anime, video games sub culture).
Actual musicians in Japan do not go to idol agencies, being a idol is not looked at in a good way in Japan from a musicians' perspective. Most musicians would not like to be associated with idols since idols are only performers (dancers/singers) while musicians actually write, compose, and play instrument and make their whole projects by themsleves.
Korea took the idol concept from Japan but developped and capitalized on it to make it as attractive and profitable as possible. But the difference is that Japanese music industry is more diverse and idols are but a small niche on it while in Korea idol music monopolises the whole music industry (you almost can't make it in Korea as a musician without joining an idol entertainement company) and that's why metal and rock as very mainstream in Japan while almost non existant in korea

Midori and Miyako, their two lead guitarists, are phenomenal and among the best guitar players ever. They rip off incredible solos in every song, and play together in perfect unison. You really have to see this band play live though to get the full effect. The live videos of them from Japan were professionally mixed so they sound just as good, if not better, than studio recordings when playing live. Avoid Bloodstock videos due to poor audio. But the live videos from Japan are of great quality and are the best to really showcase the band. Nameless Warrior isn't even in their top 10 of best songs in my opinion. I suggest for your next Lovebites reaction to do one of these songs:
    "Holy War" ua-cam.com/video/bgAxpEpEcno/v-deo.html
"Set the World on Fire" ua-cam.com/video/99zsH6iG_6c/v-deo.html
