lmao honestly fair on Gideon, even tho I love that series, it's definitely a love or hate series. Love Jacob!! Oof yeah, the grandma situation was so sad in Honey Witch :(
I don't think there's any book that made me cry nor tear up this year. 😅 I filmed a Mid-Year Freakout Book Tag video with some of the questions being different from this video.
@@louisity honestly it doesn’t take that much to make me cry 🤣🤣 I have to read the color purple this month for a book club and I’m sure it’s gonna wreak me 🫣 I’ll have to give your video a watch 😁
@@samantha.donovan imo there are better romances so maybe skip 😅 or at least try it for free. Don’t buy. And yesssss!! This is a buddy read I am dead set on succeeding in lol 😆
Heres my answers I've finished 95 so far, 1 dnf (that probably won't stay a dnf bc I have a problem lol) Best book The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec (standalone!) Best sequel A Restless Truth by Freya Marske New release A Botanicle Daughter by Noah Medlock New releases for 2nd half of the year "The Night Guest" by Hildur Knutsdottir "A Novel Love Story" by Ashley Poston "Fury of the Gods" by John Gwynne "Heavenly Tyrant" by Xiran Jay Zhao Biggest disappointment After World by Debbie Urbanski Biggest surprise Snow Flower and the Secret Fan by Lisa See Fav new authors Frea Marske Luna Fury Fictional crush Emily from "Taken by the Witch Queen" by Luna Fury Fav character Winter from Dragon Rider by Taran Matharu Made me cry The Witch's Heart by Genevieve Gornichec The Hidden Guardian by J.D.L Rosell Made me happy Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir Prettiest book The Midnight Girls by Alicia Jasinska Want to read All 500ish on my tbr lol
95 is epic! you are crushing it! How many books were almost dnf's considering your tendency to push through? lol Ooo the Witch's Heart I've seen around for a while. I've been playing a video game with Norse mythology and it could be interesting to compare the stories and reimaginings 😊 A Novel Love Story is on my radar too! but i need to try one of her books first lol i own the Seven Year Slip. i LOVED project hail mary!! its one of my all time faves. I went in pretty blind so i was surprised and i love the time warping aspects of space. Space amazes and terrifies me at the same time. 🤯 I need more science-y outer space books, less fantasy space but like "realistic" space 😁
@@BeingDaphne I checked, I counted 24 I should have dnfed 9 or 10 were 1☆ aswell. The Seven Year Slip is the only Ashley Poston I've read and I lo♡ed it! Project Hail Mary Spoilers below Gravitational time dilation is real and pretty cool, technically everybody that's been to space is a time traveler but most of them have only traveled a fraction of a second in the future. The only thing that isn't very scientifically believable in that book is how Rocky's species technologically advanced particularly the fact that they didn't use radio signals and never detected any of ours. (Radio signals are on the electromagnetic spectrum and travel at the speed of light so that would have only taken about 26 years for them to go between the two planets)
@@zachreads your determination is so strong! I’d get stuck on a book for a month or more if I made myself finish it. That makes me even more excited to read seven year slip 🥰 I wish I could read faster 😂
