What is your favorite way to use holy water?
I have a family member complaining about Holy Water is not good it get old people all put they hands in it with germs it not safe. Plus exp p in why we use it at home and to stay safe from evil. Thanks
I love seeing a mother and daughter sharing their faith together
Thank you! It is a labor of love here
Wow. Thank you for doing this. I have recently been using holy water for my daughter & I. She's been rebellious, not obeying, sneaking out, & staying out late. Please pray for us.
I'm so grateful that you're here !
We will definitely pray for both of you, Lena. We will add both of you to our intentions for our St. Monica novena. Hang in there! Holy Mother Mary, keep us under your mantle
@@catholicmomanddaughter Thank you.
I love holy water, I want to put a fountain by our door. Once we were having an unusually very very hard week... in desperation I filled a spray bottle with holy water and sprayed the whole house and I cant explain how it all shifted... I cant. Sometimes when ai feel crossed, I use it too. I use it often and my kids too. I never thought about blessing electronics, will add to the list... ❤
Thanks for sharing this story, Leyda! What a beautiful witness :)
Im looking for one too. Its actually called a Font ❤
Amen. Blessings from Trinidad & Tobago
Thank you! God bless :)
👍 Thank you❣️ Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪🙋🏻♀️
You're so welcome! God bless :)
Great video! Can you do a similar one for the use of blessed salt?
That is a great idea! we'll add it to our list
Thankyou Jesus for helping me to find this channel. thanks to mom and daughter, God bless!
We're so glad yo found us! Welcome and God bless :)
Very interesting and informative.
We have a small holy water font by our front door. I never thought of blessing our car before trips, although I always ask for my guardian angel’s protection each time we drive anywhere. Our church is the first one we ever belonged to that doesn’t have a dispenser for holy water to fill my bottle to bring home. I either have to dip it from the large font inside the church (which is difficult) or go to a neighboring church. That’s a little frustrating. I also have Lourdes water in the house at all times for special intentions. God bless, Linda
Hi, Linda- it is awkward to dip bottles into the larger font- we have definitely been there. Would your priest possibly add a dispenser if enough people asked?
@@catholicmomanddaughter I agree. It’s really odd though, our former pastor told us over a year ago he ordered a Holy Water dispenser, then he said it was on back order, then he said it arrived. I’ve searched everywhere and never found it. We are in the St. Louis “All Things New” initiative and we now have a whole new pastor and associate pastor for the past 2 weeks. They now oversee 3 parishes in the area (called Pastorates), so I thought I’d wait a bit to ask. I’m hopeful it arrived but for whatever reason just didn’t get set up. I’ll keep you posted.
Lol- sounds like a job for St. Anthony. If you could just find it, then it would be only a matter of setting it up. Sounds like a lot of change is going on there with the parishes- how are you holding up?
@@catholicmomanddaughter yes, I need to investigate. We knew for the past two years this upheaval in our Archdiocese would take place, but it just took effect August 1st. It will be different in each parish and for each person, but for me the change has been good in our parish. I worry about all the priests with so much on their shoulders and I feel they can use many prayers. Sadly some parishes were closed or combined and that would be difficult. Thank you for asking. God bless, Linda
Change is always hard, even good change. Praying for our priests is so important... and for more vocations!
I love holy water. I have it year round in my holy water fount. I love blessing myself with it to heal ailments and mental pain. ❤
It is wonderful how many ways we can use it- thanks for sharing :)
I thought it was a "fount" too, but it is a "font."
Wow! I don't use holy water often (only upon entering church), but now I am going to start. I am sharing your video with all our children's ministry parents at St. Ann's!
We do love holy water here and use it all the time. We're so glad the video was helpful for you! Thanks for watching and sharing :)
Lovely that you explained a good deal. I use Holy Water making the sign of the cross on my dogs and on each door and window in my home when I have felt stressed and having time of depression. Doing this with focus prayer and writing in a journal. It "seals the deal" and helps me feel that I have done something for unknown attacked toward me. Thank you Ladies so much!!
You are so welcome! Holy water is such a powerful sacramental; it is a favorite here :)
I use holywater very often .to bless my children and grandchildren to seek help in this tempting world and practicly just as you told .when one is sick .or uncertain etc .
Banish temptations... and also to help strengthen us in our Lenten resolves :)
I have a strange story. In my extensive travels, I chanced into a parish one day for a brief visit. First thing I noticed was no Holy Water anywhere. I asked a priest if this was a Catholic church, and he said yes. I noted the absence of Holy Water, and he said, "That's right, it's not here. I don't believe in it." As if this was his church and not a Catholic church. I didn't offer an argument, as he was obviously the pastor with a skewed viewpoint, but the visit I had wanted then seemed incomplete. Your video for Holy Water is inspiring, instructive, and reassuring. Lead on.
That is a sad story, indeed. We know that God often works through physical objects such as water (baptism) and oil (confirmation and more). Jesus even used mud to heal a man of blindness! We will pray for that priest- we will hope that his church will soon have holy water again!
I am huge believer of the use of the Holy Water and Blessed Salt. After our evening family prayer every day, I go around the house bless every room. Especially all our kids rooms. If they are in the room I will put a cross on them. Few weeks ago, I missed a few days and my 11 years old daughter mentioned that she could tell the difference the way she felt while I was regularly and when I missed a few days. She felt very peaceful while the blessing was done daily. Try it!
What a wonderful routine for the evenings- thanks for sharing it!
THANK YOU! For sharing. I did not know you could Holy WATER in a spray bottle. GOD bless you both for what you are doing.
We love our spray bottle, although we only use the water in it reverently. Lol- no spraying the cat on the counter with it.
So grateful keep doing what you’re doing bless you two amazing mother daughter bond ❤
Thank you so much- your kind words mean a lot to us!
Super very helpful information! Thank you very much! I would have never thought of using Holy Water in so many ways especially for blessing my pets! Many blessings for both and for all your subscribers! Amen!
Thank you! we do love our holy water here :)
I use Holy Water at work to bless my workspace.
That is such a great thing to do! We like to bless our phones as well.
I use a spray bottle : to bless my self around body from top and side to side, bless my house (especially each corner), bless my pet, bless the rooms or ceiling.. i pour it to bath tub for bath also.
Never thought it could be use for blessing the garden and cars, even bed 😇 thank you for creating this content 🥰
Are there also a holy water for a drink in your place ?
Hello- you are very welcome! We don't drink the holy water from church here just because it is not guaranteed to be safe for drinking (many hands go into the holy water font). We have drunk water from the spring at Lourdes, though. That is safe for drinking.
Oh gosh! What wonderful ideas!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Lol- we love holy water so much; it is so versatile and so helpful. Glad you enjoyed the video!
Great video. I am new to the faith and was baptised at the Easter vigil this year. I subscribed to your channel as these videos help me in my learning and journey.
Congratulations! What a blessed Easter for you and for the whole church! We are so glad to hear the videos are helpful for you. Lol- that is one thing about the Catholic Church... there is always something new (and helpful and amazing) to learn. We will keep you in our prayers; please pray for us!
@@catholicmomanddaughter i did today during mass.
I also think it is lovely you are doing this channel together as mother and daughter. It gives me hope my daughter will embrace the faith as she grows up.
So many uses I hadn't thought of!
We love that we can use it for so many different things- so many blessings!
Thank u so much! My teen son has been struggling with mental health and our family and my marriage is having difficult time. I will use Holy water throughout my house weekly
The devil is definitely on the prowl and attacking families in all different ways. We will pray for you and your family. God bless you abundantly in the New Year!
@@catholicmomanddaughter thank u for your reply! Would a formal house blessing by my pastor be helpful and place a cross over each bedroom and entrance door? We have never had a house blessing.
A house blessing would be a great thing to do! Also consider having a St. Benedict medal in every room. St. Benedict is a powerful spiritual warrior.
@@catholicmomanddaughter oooh thank u! I will definitely purchase the medal!🙏
We bought this set and have been really happy with them. We had them blessed by our priest after they arrived and keep them in different rooms and on our key chains. www.amazon.com/gp/product/B009SO8YPC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 @@midlifemom5829
Thank you for this. I hope you can make an episode of the use of blessed candles. 🙏

Number 5:17 "Then he shall take some Holy water in a clay jar and add dust from the tabernacle floor to the water..."
It should remind you of your Baptism
( Jewish Mikvah in Leviticus11:36 for purity in God's presence when entering the temple)
This is a great video. I love it. I never thought about a spray bottle. Good idea. You two are awesome. I have holy water and I put it around my door frame. I bless myself with it and I put some on my temples at bedtime. I just subscribed to your channel. Thank you for all of the ideas. ✝️✝️
We're so glad you enjoyed the video! The spray bottle has been a game changer here for us- the holy water stays fresh and clean so much longer!
❤❤❤❤❤ Thankyou for sharing .Stay Blessed
Thank you- you, too!
Thanks for the idea of putting holy water in a spray bottle.
It has worked out well for us here. The water inside stays clean and lasts longer :)
Thankful n heaven bless
God bless 🙏
Thank u ,for description
You are very welcome!
I absolutely love this video! I just came back home to the Church, and it's so wonderful to see a mother and daughter sharing their faith as well as their knowledge about our beautiful Church and God's goodness. New subscriber! Blessings to you and yours!🙏
We are so happy you have come home to the Church! What a blessing; God is truly so good. We're so glad you enjoyed the video, and thank you for subscribing. We will keep you in our prayers; please pray for us!
@@catholicmomanddaughter thank you so much! Yes, God is so good! He continues to awe and inspire me at every turn. You all are in my prayers! Thank you both for providing such inspiring, true and inspirational content on the Internet! 🙏🏻
Thank you for reminding me of the importance of holy water . I think putting it in a small spray bottle is a good idea .
You are very welcome, Susan! Holy water is a wonderful sacramental
Thank you I use HOLY WATER like on everything at the same time making the sign of the cross. God bless us all always
You can never go wrong with holy water :)
Very good ideas…Thank you….
You are welcome! Have a blessed Lent :)
Thinking about putting it in our carpet cleaner and washing the walls with it maybe put it in some humidifiers im trying to fight evil left behind after a dark witch
Oh, my goodness- have you had your house blessed by a priest? That would probably be the best way to start. Explain the situation and have him go over the whole house with holy water and prayers. So sorry you are having to deal with that!
Enjoyable presentation. Reaffirms my use of Holy Water, which I use for everything. I have been blessing my very ill cat with Holy Water. She's 19 years old and I have asked the good Lord Jesus to take her home. She's still here, so she must have some issues to still take care of. Maybe it's me who still has some issues to deal with and she's still here to help me! 🙏🙏🙏
God bless you and your sweet cat! Wow- 19 years is awesome. We have a 15 year old cat here (greatly beloved) who is also facing health issues. And, like you, we are blessing her with holy water and asking Jesus for a peaceful passing for her when the time comes. It is just so hard. We will keep you in our prayers!
I'm not Catholic but my sister is. I told her I wanted to be baptised in full immersion as I was baptised at age 12 or 13 by the sprinkle method and I am 69 now. I'm Methodist and I brought this up to my preacher to see if he would do that for me. He said they do full body immersion but not if you have already been baptised. My brother has a swimming pool and he attends a non denominational church and his preacher would be glad to perform the baptism on me in his pool. My sister said we could sprinkle a few drops of holy water in the pool for this!
Your zeal for the Lord is very moving! Your pastor steered you right, though, in saying that if you have been baptized once (and correctly) there is never a need to do it again. However, you can use holy water to bless yourself as often as you want. We think Jesus sees your enthusiasm and is very pleased by it :)
New subscribe very interesting 🙏🙏
Awesome! Thank you so much
I wish a priest blessed our shower so holy water comes out.😂
I think garden will make a comeback do you to but academy.
I can never get enough holy water.
Here is a Bizzarre question if you add holy water to normal water if you do that Will the water become Holy water was just a few drops Holy water added? Just a question I thought you might like to answer. What is the church teaching.
We get holy water once a year from Lourdes France and I was wondering if you can stretch it are using that method.
One never knows unless someone asks.
From what we've read, you can add regular water to holy water, but there has to be more holy water present than regular water for the water to still be considered as official holy water.( The mix has to be at least 51% holy water). Lourdes water is not the same as holy water, though. It comes from the miraculous spring at Lourdes but still needs to be blessed by a priest to become Lourdes Holy Water. Lol- we do like the shower idea
This is very dangerous if you are selling Holy water on the streets. I knew a guy with "connections" who would sell high-quality Holy water. He made a decent living but got greedy. He began to cut his Holy water, first with distilled water ( still a quality comodity) then with tap water.
His customers began to tell the difference and a local Catholic gang beat the Holy doodoo out of him.
He learned his lesson but I'm just saying. On the streets it's bless around and find out!
@@catholicmomanddaughter Thank you for the great reply and quick. Thank you
@@phillipkopp5809 There will always be someone willing to risk his soul for the almighty dollar. Selling any Holy relic is illegal as of church teaching. You can sell unblessed items but once they are blessed they are Holy object that can't be sold. but could be wrong.
This is wrong on so many levels. Selling items that you know have been blessed is the grave sin of simony. And a Catholic gang beating people up... also so wrong on so many levels. We will pray for all involved. O Mary, conceived without sin, pray for us who have recourse to thee!
Great ideas sisters!! I will definitely use it more often. 🙏🙏
Wonderful! Blessings to you in the New Year!
Thanks for listing these uses!
Just curious: when using holy water on computers, cellphones, etc., have you (or anyone else in the thread) noticed a difference in your use of the device?
That's a great question!
We were told by a priest that we are not supposed to use a spay bottle to bless our homes.
Hi, Gloria- that is interesting. We wonder why he said this. Holy water can be placed in any type of clean container as long as it is used reverently. Here is more info on that from Catholic Answers: www.catholic.com/qa/may-i-use-a-normal-bottle-for-holy-water#
A priest blessed my home with holy water in a spray bottle.
Should we drink Holy Water as well?
What a great question! As fas as we know there is not prohibition against drinking holy water. However, you would want to be sure the holy water is fresh and clean. For example, we would not drink holy water that has been stored for a long time or taken from the holy water font at church that many hands have been dipped into; in this case the water may not be safe to drink. When in doubt, always check with your priest. Hope that helps :)
I need in case of sus things
Does holy water expire
Great question! Not that we know of. If you dilute it too much with regular water, it does lose its status as holy water, though. From what we've read, it has to be at least 51% holy water to stay official holy water
😂
