But he was stupid and short sighted to think that he could hold onto anything of Jesse’s without his consent, let alone almost half a million in cash, without facing serious repercussions. Balancing the genuine anger and the genuine concern for Jesse must have been a tricky job, but I think Walt did a poor job of it. He came off petty and condescending.
