It is easy to tell Hatty and Josh apart; Hatty is always on the left.
Nailed it
This terrain reminds of one my favourite games I used to play on the PS1 as a kid, Medievil from 1998. That's some true gaming nostalgia that I really love.
That game was so good!
Tree tutorial was my favorite part. And I love the highlighting on the stones and building.
Squidmar just did something like this with a haunted mansion for cheap, Im going to have a hole table at this rate.
It was a great video eh?
I love going back to how we used to make terrain instead of buying expensive kits that make it all look the same.
Well done on this lot Hatty, I love the finish on the stone work… and yes, the seeds have been used for a loooong time. 😉
Thank you! 😊
Just 3D print terrain; you get the best of both with less effort and less price
Software developers would say: It's not "copy paste" when it comes to you Hatty. It's object-oriented inheritance!
I choked on my water when I read this comment. Hilarious
@@cybergecko6472 I will take as a compliment and reply as follows: "thank you very much"
Very cool video, thanks for sharing!
My best advice would be to list what ingredients you might need (paints, materials, tools, etc.) at the beginning of each section. Either way, it's a great video!
EDIT: Also, that tree process is amazing!!! And the leaves are a great touch!
Good idea! We'll make a list for the video description
That intro was so on point! Amazing!
I love all of the videos you folks make!
This is brilliant! I love this channel. Well edited videos with very fun music in the background. I listen to it while I do dishes. It's very relaxing. You and Guy are so much fun!
Love the old school building of scenery 👌 this is what I spent my youth doing in the 80/90's and still do a bit now of course but this video is great and encouraged my boy to try and make some!
Is this what happens when a stormcast eternal has a nightmare before christmas?
I want to see that film
This was the most "Art Attack" video I ever saw! Ahah love it
That fence looks rather fence-y
Quite inof-fence-ive
These puns are inde-fence-ible
Im on the fence about it tho
Awesome was just thinking of making graveyard board. Thank you for the vid!
The look is very "The Nightmare Before Christmas" and I love it.
Its all shits and giggles untill someone giggles and shits
This is a part of the hobby that I miss the most, and seems to disappear. I remember a time when White Dwarf was full of articles with hobby projects like this.
Luckily, the tradition has persisted and only grown on the Internet. James Workshop may have abandoned the home-made terrain in favor of shilling its overpriced plastic kits, but the fans have not forgotten.
Is it just me or did I even love reading the battle reports in white dwarf more then watching them online ? I love both but reading em and the pics something about it. Hard to explaine.
This is amazing for Malifaux terrain! Thanks!
Of course!
Another great video. I remember making heaps of terrain as a younger mini me. Mayhap i should again.
Go for it!
I already know this is gonna be lovely
This video is also a really nice tutorial on highlighting!
Loved this video! Everything is so accessible! Just random stuff and things being used for terrain
Love the video, and inspirational! Must admit your comment "copy, paste" had me in stitches :D.
Great video! Also I really wanted you to add bloody footprints going into the crypt, just to add a little bit of story.
I've been doing Sporktober this year (mostly working on my undead, with some leftover Kruleboyz from last year). As such, I've been meaning to make some spooky terrain to go along with it. I'll definitely need to make time for it, after I've finished the last of my skeletons. (Which, given I'm working with the Wargames Atlantic skeletons, who are very simple sculpts, it won't take more than two days).
I was just thinking about doing this sort of thing myself. Sweet!
Thanks for the video Hatty. Having a go at making trees with my daughter. She's decided she's more of a terrain maker now than game player 😂
This terrain looks so cool! Well done
Another fun way of doing tree bark is using hot glue and teasing it up and down until it cools.
Ooh good idea! I’ll have to try that next time
Brilliant.
Great stuff again! Love the railings and gravestones. 👍
Amazing projekt!
I will probably try out some of it for spooky month 2024 :D
I'm definitely gonna be doing some of this. Love me some cemeteries, lol
Sentences you don't get to say in public often!
Yessss please show me when you do!
Awesome designs. This stuff has a great theme and heights of minis is simple trick that many forget. Keep up the good work.
Fantastic episode! But I have to say, the fact that you are working with your sibling in making this project really makes this episode heartwarming. I miss those times with mine…
I really enjoyed watching you make these spooky terrain. I might try some of these. Great video
Perfect timing for me! I was just building a cemetery terrain.
I assume josh plays guitar, classical or flamenco maybe.
Wow, that was fun too watch, thanks so much for sharing with us!
That looks so epic I can’t wait to build it. And another amazing video Hatty
Yesss! Thank you!
Good stuff. Thanks for the video
This style looks perfect for the Turnip28 terrain I will be making soon. Thanks!
Great video. A lot of fun to watch.
Using painter's tape for the tree is genius. Thank you for the tip!
Love Halloween, love warhammer, love this video!
I did something similar to this for endor trees, but i used a fork to do the tree bark texture on the das clay. Probably less control over the result, but it was fast as.
Looks amazing :)
This looks like a lot of fun! The fence might be my favourite but the wonky gravestones are a runner-up :) btw DAS clay is way underrated for our hobby.
Very inventive and cool
3:32 - Blood Bowl you say? Is there a Blood Bowl video coming up?
Happy Hattieween! cool fun spookville terrain build
LoL @ "Freedom Eagle Land"
CAAAW!
@@MidwinterMinis CAWW! *Sounds of cheap beer and fire arms*
That so cool and cute!!!
I think the fence is the best part.
Where can I get a tub of little dried birch tree seeds like the one you used? Those look so fantastic for a bunch of little dried leaves.
Hatty saying "hello there!" made me involuntarily say "GENERAL KENOBI!"😂
So the paper on the outside of the foam-board you get at most of the dollar stores here in freedom eagle land is really easy to peel off and then you can texture the foam underneath.
Floral wire is much thinner, meant to be bent inexpensive and easier to use for making trees.
Good shout!
Love it!!!
SPOOKY TIME!!!!!
I spilt my first pot. It took years but now I got that under my belt. Thank God it was away from my mini's. Hallowed out hockey puck here I come. Well done ! Pumpkin Unlean One looks sic ! Throw a chocolate at em and run like hell.
Love your vids keep it up🔥🔥♥️
Great video Hatty! Much Tim Burton vibes from this video.
I'm expecting the same video for valentine's Day and Easter
Another Spooktober W for Hatters!
Wow, nice work 😀😀
Lot of Blood Bowl minis in this video. A sign of things to come? I hope so, because I love Blood Bowl
awesome job ! reminds me of medievil video game
Great vid❤❤❤❤. It’s really spooky how you two look alike😂😂😂
Three millimeters? Those are some thick coins.
This terrain is really good. It is also really spooky
I'm definitely going to make a graveyard after this
Good luck!
This channel has literraly kept me alive, and each video is cooler and nostalgic
Whoop whoop
Black nails, white nails, black nails, white nails, black nails, white nails, black nails, white nails, black nails, white nails, black nails, white nails. Awesome tips, cheers.
Hiya, great vid. Sorry is the foamcore you use easy to peel by any chance?
I have had problems with foam board as bases in the past. How did you keep the board from warping as the paint/glue mix dries?
Looking like your sibling is totally normal! I look just like my brother...
oh wait, I'm a twin, never mind
Great video. Her brother looks younger then Hatty sometimes 😳
FREEDOM EAGLE LAND ... SWAAAUUU!!! lmao
Got to add these to my Mordheim terrain collection… need a spooky graveyard for the servants of Vlad Von Carstein
how do you make the super glue not make it and the stuff around it white? is like it dries like that but i never see anyone address it
Nice trees! Thanks
What do you use as the ground cover?
I use paint-on primer, could I mix that with PVA and will it work similarly?
Absolutely! Depending on the primer, you may just be fine with that too :)
Where can we see the stop-motion animations? They look cute ❤
Hainbach
guess its time for me to get to work
Wait a sec... Hattie was a BABY at one point in time???
mwah
Well those clippers are done...
Who cloned Hatty?
Why is there two??
The let the evil twin out at Halloween, remember the Simpsons already did it
Spooky
Cool terrain, take it from the one hand with long nails Hatty’s big bro plays a bit of guitar
I really, really enjoyed this video. Can I beg for a sequel? I'd love to see a video in the same style, using similar techniques to remaster/recreate the scratch built hostile jungle plants from White Dwarf 242 (Page 80: 'It's A Jungle Out There! Hostile Terrain in Warhammer 40,000). Pretty please!
Especially with spooky season upon us, I'd love a guide on hostile or dangerous terrain.
Great suggestion!
Played hattie! Gg
do a battle report with this
When can we expect the start collecting deatmatch?
Kudos on using your own music :)
Still waiting for more hero quest content!
Next week!
like this and yes lot neat stuff me i have ad words to ihe tumb stones thats me and why not ues polmer back oven clay ?? just a think all loooks great and tune in to nest vid
