I swim with my Galaxy watch 4 and I don't even notice I have the watch on. It's fun to watch the watch spilled water 💦😅😅. I highly recommend Samsung watches!!
The real reason to get the ring is so that you can blow the dust off your watch collection and wear them again while still tracking your vitals with the ring!

From the samsung website: Consistent with 10ATM water-resistance classification (up to 100m of water for up to 10 minutes) and IP68 rating (up to 6 feet of water for up to 30 minutes). Rinse residue / dry after wet.
I prefer ring to watch. You cant wear watch 24hrs but with ring u can. Also you wouldn't feel you are wearing something. Since most of us are used to wearing ring throughout out life.
The question nobody is asking, is it accurate? People don't realise how poor the Samsung range is at heart rate, sleeping etc. I would buy one in a heart beat (pardon the pun), but the Apple Watch remains the accuracy standard until proven otherwise.
Its pretty accurate and the Hearth beat sensor has improven since the Galaxy Watch 5 and now they even made an Upgrade to it. Its gonna do the things it should do without any Problem

I'm getting the Ultra so I can disable all the health features and optimize it for extended battery use and use it for other stuff as fitness benefits are useless to me.
If u care that much about battery life grow up and get a garmin. My taxtix 7 watch with saphire glass . Titanium. Nylong and silicone strap included. Solar. Lasts 30 days between charges.
And the garmin enduro watch lasts supwr long time . Maybe 45 days. I dont remember. And garmin makes some super classier watches also made of metal. Designer editions. Better gps functionsam my tactix has a green and white flashlight. If im not wearing my rolex i weae gaermin. And i have a custom rolex garmin watchface.
People please dont buy thst ring. Im a real samsung fan. But thst ring on ur fingers is not good. Dont buy every cool thing you see a company puts out.
Meanwhile me using samsung refrigirator and a,c from 10years,,,tv from 6 years,,,,also 5year old samsing phone and 3year old washing machine,,,,meanwhile i also bought motorola tv,,,which died after one year,,,,,
