Hi Kat, i love the mice, they are so cute ! And i love the Permin wheelbarrow ! Permin (such as Lanarte, etc) are really hard to find in France, or they are so expensive, even the 2nd hand ones... When i started to cross stitch 26 years ago, they were so easy to find, very common, and not so expensive... i wish i had bought them then !
I also love the Dimensions lighthouse, it(s been a while that i have it on my wishlist, and seeing yours, well, i think i'm going to buy it !

Haha, i feel the same way about the dimensions kits... They were so common before!
Permin is a Scandinavian brand I think, so they are still very common here. Interesting to learn that Lanarte is rare in France of all places! I think that Lanarte has a very french style, especially the older pieces!
      Kat,

What does parking mean? I’m a beginner 😊 I’m sorry to hear you were not feeling well.

Hi again Cathy - thanks for coming over!
So "parking" kinda requires stitching a certain way - usually block by block ( can be in diagonals too, but that's more complicated). So if you're working on a complicated pattern, you might try to stitch only a small square at a time to help you tackle it.
So let's imagine we're stitching a 10x10 block and you've done all the white in that block, do you end your thread? Even though there's a white right next to the block that you haven't stitched yet (because there's still some grey to go in this block). Some people do end their threads. Other people stitch that white, thus continuing into a square they've not yet started. Other people "park".
Parking is when you leave the thread in the next hole it will be used in (for example, if you usually start your stitch bottom left, you "park" your thread in the bottom left hole of the next stitch), then remove your needle and start on the grey in your first block. Let me know if you have any more questions!
