Way 1: Recover files from a Recycle Bin
1. Open "Recycle Bin" by double-clicking on its icon on the Desktop.
2. Locate and then select whichever file(s) or folder(s) you need to restore.
3. Right-click or double-click on the selection and choose "Restore".
4. The Recycle Bin will then restore the deleted files to their original locations.
Can’t find your desired files? Don’t worry - you still have a good chance to restore deleted files.
Way 2: Windows backup
To restore a file from a backup, make sure the media or drive that your backup is saved on is available, and then follow these steps:
1. Open Backup and Restore by selecting the Start button , selecting Control Panel, selecting System and Maintenance, and then selecting Backup and Restore.
2. Select Restore my files, and then follow the steps in the wizard.
Way 3: Restoring from previous versions
1. Open the folder that used to contain the deleted file and click the "History" button.
2. File History will display all the files contained in the most recent backup of that folder.
3. Click the "Previous" button to locate and select the file you want to retrieve, then click the "Restore" button to get it back.
Native Windows tools can help recover your data from a Recycle Bin, however it’s very rarely proven effective. Data recovery software, on the other hand, can restore files that are still physically present on the disk even if they were deleted logically.
Way 4: Data Recovery Software
I recommend using Disk Drill software. Disk Drill for Windows allows you to recover 500 MB of data for free, which is more than enough for countless Word documents, over 50 songs, or a bunch of photos.
Follow these steps to recover deleted files after emptying the Recycle Bin:
Step 1. Download and install Disk Drill for Windows.
Step 2. Launch the program.
Step 3. Select the disk that contains the Recycle Bin from the list presented by Disk Drill.
Step 4. Click the Search for lost data button. This initiates the application’s advanced scanning algorithms which will search for recoverable files.
Step 5. Preview files that you need to recover
Step 6. Select the files you wish to unerase as well as a new storage location where they will be saved.

Bruh don’t you think for most people like me we didn’t have backup apps before accidentally deleting stuff, useless video
I’m not paying for that dumb app, at first I thought I could fix my messed up computer all thanks to this nice guy but then…bruh
Firstly it should be made MUCH MORE clear that you cant get jack with this software unless you pay for PRO which is fine once you know.
But I am pro now and i ran the recovery via LOST and it found gigs of absolute rubbish ive never seen before. Real weird stuff.
The 100 videos I accidentally deleted were sadly no where to be seen.
I acted within 30 mins and didnt restart the pc and or touch the drive but no luck.
The scan took over 30 mins to do but found nothing in the recycle bin. And of the 4179 videos it found none were anything to do with what I lost. But there was so much stuff id never deleted.
The only variable is those videos were deleted from another drive outside of the main drive. But they still go to the same bin. So I have no idea and feel that PRO was not worth the price if it cant find even one file. Unless I am doing something wrong but as I followed the sites guides im not sure what that would be....:(

Hello, sorry to hear about that. Generally, folders and files in "cloud" storage are not recoverable. The whole idea of a cloud is that the file is stored not on your local computer, but on a remote server. It's not possible to recover a file that was neither downloaded nor utilized on your computer directly. This is also true for iCloud, Dropbox, Google Drive, and other cloud storage platforms.

hey I have a question,
yesterday I accidentally deleted many mp4 files (overall around 10-15gb) and I want them back. I tried everything already, many different recovery programs but my mp4 files couldn´t be found, but files from 2 years ago got found - how is this possible? I only installed like 100mb (recovery programs) since I deleted my mp4 files, so there´s no way that all around 60 files with many gb´s are already overwritten right? what can I do?

Great video. My question is how to access the recycle bin of an external hardrive. To add more space to my external hardrive, I deleted unwanted and duplicate files and they went to my desktop recycle bin and deleted there but it did not clear or free up space on my ext. hatdrive. If I have reinstalled Windows to factory settings and all files are deleted and there is no backup, can the files before reinstalling come back again?

I found the file and it had an image/thumbnail I might say. When I recovered the file using the Software, it didn’t show. I tried Again, I followed all the instructions. I don’t know what went wrong. I just recycled my bin less than 10 hours from now.

If you managed to preview the file you needed to recover in a basic version, please email us at help@cleverfiles.com for further assistance. No preview just means that the file might be damaged or corrupt, it can be recovered, but it might need to be repaired.

I lost my images in Google pictures I couldn't even find those in recycle bin. My recycle bin is empty can you plz tell me the solutions for this
Are we talking about Google Photos - pictures stored in the cloud? If yes, data recovery software like Disk Drill won't be able to help you. In case your pictures were stored locally on a disk, you may try scanning that disk with the free version of Disk Drill to check if it can find your pictures.
hello, i have a 10 yr old windows XP & I can not find anything to help me recover a FOLDER of pictures I deleted by accident into my recycle folder & then permanently deleted it from there, I have searched everywhere but cant find ANY help for a computer this old to help me find that deleted FOLDER of 30 years of pictures i had stored in that folder, I am so upset, do you think you can help with this windows XP to recover that FOLDER of pictures. I have never backed anything up, I wouldnt know how. so I have no back up???

O i would be afraid to download anything from a site i don't know, who is "cleverfiles"? & if I did download it which i am sure i wont, it will probably make me pay & then what do i do once i download it? does it give me instructions how to get my picture FOLDER back? & how much does this download cost? I am just afraid to download from any sites. I have a 10-13 year old computer & its on its last leg, I dont want to do ANYTHING that would corrupt it . I Thank you though, just afraid. I have been clean recycle many more times but i m in shocked when i just found 4 yrs old 2 gb deleted files in my pc bin..why this happened pls advice

What happens if you “permanently delete file” from one of your flash drives or anywhere on the “my computer” in general? Because I downloaded disk drill and it’s only showing my deleted files that are in my recycle bin. But here’s the thing….when it was permanently deleted, I thought it would go to the recycle bin but it didn’t. It totally slipped going to the recycle bin and just permanently deleted from my USB drive without even making it to the recycle bin. So with that, I can’t find it in the disk drill files it pulled up. What do I do? I’m panicking and lots of memories are gone. I need help. 😢
If the file hasn't been overwritten, chances are you can still recover it. If you can't see your files in the Trash folder in the QuickScan, you will need to run the "all recovery methods" scan and try to locate the files in their original location. You need to look for particular files, not the Trash can.
@@cleverfiles in the disk drill search bar I typed in every specific name that pertains to the file and it’s not coming up. It was a folder that got deleted. So I typed in the folder name exactly how it says and it said nothing. I will select “All recovery methods” when I get home from work. Thank you, and I hope this works 🤞 🥺
@@cleverfiles turns out I did run all the scans. Still not there. The way I must of deleted it made where it was deleted from my “My computer” I tried to copy it by dragging it over to a new spot and then I deleted the original copy of it but when I did it asked me “are you sure you want to permanently delete this” it was odd that it asked me that instead of asking to delete. Because I’m order to permanently delete something, you have to delete it from the trash bin. But so I clicked yes. And then poof, that was it. It skipped going to the trash bin and into the next place it goes to after gone from the trash bin…..that’s why it’s not popping up in the disk drill. Because I think I messed up the pattern/routine for disk drive to find deleted files. I think I through it off by doing that. I thought disk drive was good at finding stuff but I guess not unfortunately. Unless you can still help me. 🙏 😢

I was trying to find a video file. I found it, but I can't preview it, and no program can open the recovered file, so I'm assuming it isn't "intact". Is there anything I can do about this?
Hi! Sorry to hear about that. If the preview is not available, this indicates that the file(s) would not be guaranteed for recovery. Previewing the whole file - in its entirety - is the only way to be sure that a file has all its pieces.
I'm so confused. I actually want to retrieve files from the recycle bin, not from my flash drive or external hard drive. The software doesn't give me an option to choose from the recycle bin. Am i missing something here? Please help.
