123D Design Tutorial Basics Exercise 2 - Rowboat

This is the second sample exercise for Library 21C's Intro to 3D Modeling tutorials. This exercise is best attempted after watching the first 6 videos of the Basics series. This tutorial series was re-recorded to include changes to the newly updated version of 123D Design (1.755).

nice tutorial thank tou. i find often that i canot camfer something. i suspect my object might not be a solid for somde reason how can i see what my object type is?

Is there a mirror tool? When you drew the first spline on the right, could you have mirrored (if there is a tool) it so that you have exactly the same curve just on the left side?

i dont quite understand the hollowing out of the object. How come it hollowed the boat and removed the top plain at the same time?

I'm trying to draw a boat propeller but I'm having trouble figuring out how to do it in 123. There's a video up of how to do it via onshape but I'd rather use 123. Can you help?

Hi, there.
I have a problem with my 123D Design software. One day, it just refused to open. When I click its icon, the prompt screen appears, but then it just disappears and nothing opens up!
I even uninstalled and then reinstalled the program. But still, it just doesn't open anymore. What can I do to resolve this issue? Thanks for any suggestions. E.

I'm having trouble with the hollow tool. It really doesn't seem to work. I keep clicking and adjusting the values and selecting different faces, inside and outside, but it just keeps saying "invalid operation." Any ideas?

Hi Brian, I had that too, When jou make an polyline, select the line and than connect it with an spline. The second spline need to be connected as the line before. When you do this it will hollow outsideSucces
